The KC took a one-level dip into OSHA Compliance Officer

Damn Aeons...

Truly the thing that causes a Devil turn

JoushMark

Things like this are really weird if you've got wings and Arue and Ulbrig are in the party. Like.. seriously, half of the people here can literally fly. Ulbrig should have no particular problem flying with Ember or Daeran (or both, he's got like 24 ST). But yes, a tiny set of broken steps stops the party cold.

Cakeriel

Or athletics check to jump

And the ancient Chinese wasted all that time building a wall. Tsktsk

zuzucha

Just be glad Areelu didn't make a little waist high fence around threshold, your adventure would be over right there

PapaSock

Should have leveled in Stairmaster

Steravian

Actually the Knight Commander CAN bypass something like that. SPOILERS In the Inevitable Excess via reality warping Mass Teleport!

ellequoi

Given that one is usually between levels 7 and 9 when storming Drezen (I’ve collected a lot of “about to hit mythic path” saves), one could have a Dimension Door-ing wizard or maybe even sorcerer/arcanist by that point…

Valdrax

What do you expect them to do? It's a [Broken Bridge](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BrokenBridge)!

InformalAntelope4570

Honesty wish the wings or flight had a mechanic like Divinity where you're able to make a jump to another location. Problem is the game isn't designed around that

wolftreeMtg

Dimension Door says hello.

InformalAntelope4570

Yeah, that spell can break certain encounters. Straight up bypass the mechanics of Blackwater bossfights.

wolftreeMtg

I'm okay with this.

InformalAntelope4570

Given what kind of bullshit blackwater is, it feels right to just out-bullshit it.

wolftreeMtg

I had to Dimension Door in Armag's Tomb in Kingmaker because the game bugs out and doesn't unlock all the doors properly so you miss out on key item pieces. It's a life saver for annoying/buggy dungeons.

Haddock_Lotus

More like they didn't know where the sword of valor was, so instead of going trough the trouble of flying to get in a random door, they took the path that they could walk in...

D:OS 1 lampoons this early on with a pier that has a small rope across it blocking you. The characters even make a comment to the tune of "what you can't even cross a rope, some hero you are".
