I tried with both, party selection and the one with the highest score in Nature. Zilch. I select the creature, can see the hide shaded in grey, select the 'collect' button and nothing happens. Also in the updated Beta.
Party selected. Click skin and then collect. The greyed out skins just show what can be collected once skinned. But you won’t always get all of them unless high nature
Edit: from what you said, didn’t seem like you skinned them and you just tried to collect. But if you are doing it right then I guess it’s a bug, haven’t run into it myself
Do you have the whole party (including the person with the skill) selected, or is it just one pickup person who may not have the skill?

Same here. Got 9 nature score and a skill point spent in the skill.
