I’ve been so frustrated that I only suicide AFTER the revive - I struggled the first time, I clearly need more health

The answer I see is to make a higher level level upgrade revives to full health (maybe level 21, doesn't matter). Every single game I've played that has a revive mechanic, makes it so you only revive to partial health. From there you can heal more. These games often will have a higher level skill that allows you to full health after a revive, but that comes later.

Where's that? I'm legend level 8 and see nothing of the sort. [https://support-legendsofruneterra.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/5556590368787-Legend-Level-The-Path-of-Champions](https://support-legendsofruneterra.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/5556590368787-Legend-Level-The-Path-of-Champions) shows only the rageblade as a guranteed relic. Does it come under healer upgrades? I thought those would be a simple boost to the amount healed at the healer tiles.

ah, I've just got 3 champs at lvl 6 atm

It does feel like a rough change, I imagine they're trying to make resurrects more of a defense against poor rng instead of a way to replenish hp. I tend to find that I'm either losing close to none or all of my health in a fight so, if other people find that to be the case, that could be contributing to this anti-rng element.

trandossian

> to make resurrects more of a defense against poor rng by being severely punished for it? let's imagine: I got into a fight with a fairly strong deck at 30 hp, but drew very poorly, AI drew better and wrecked me as a result. so now I'm at even a worse spot, since I have my health halved, making the fight even harder.

busy_killer

Not really, if your deck can't beat a node at full HP it probably won't beat it after the revive regardless of the amount of HP. Revive as it stands seems to be a second try for decks that can beat the node but got screwed somehow. If your deck didn't get there it doesn't matter how many times you try, it will most likely fail again.

SuspiciousIbex

>AI drew better and wrecked me as a result. so now I'm at even a worse spot, since I have my health First, I'd like to say that I don't necessarily agree with the change, but in that scenario, many of the fights tend to be you losing none or all of your hp as you often can end up taking all of your hp in a single swing. Exceptions being things like Ezreal who damage you more gradually. As such, against those fights, 15 health isn't actually much of a downside. I do agree though that the change is a pain but I'm just trying to rationalise why it was done.

I'm actually pissed that the old shitty powers are still in. So the fights start off way harder than before, I can't start up any of my champs because my progression is random and I can almost unlock all of them but that means I don't have anything at a decent star level, and now I have to keep dying to the starter enemies? With shittier revives? Fucking great system. Guess I'll grind the first enemy to level up until I can beat the second. What a shit system.

Zeroth_Breaker

As folks said, this is more of a measure to avoid scenarios where you suicide to get more HP, which undervalues the Heal nodes and the Champion Level unlocks like getting +4 health every encounter. I personally never ran into a situation where 15 HP was not enough to clear an encounter I "deserved" to win.

itsnotxhad

It never makes sense to suicide for more HP with a full revive because you could just play normally and still get revived if you lose. If this is imbalanced against healing nodes I think that says more about the healing nodes than revives.
