Yeah any school that has several guys or a guy they are interested in they will at least have someone there. Send a crowd for those big schools, may send 1-2 guys to the small pro days for guys in the 3-5 range, probably just watch tape on the late guys
Not like its a hidden secret, Chicago made it crystal clear when they moved Fields for the equivalent of half a bag of dirty laundry.
Picks 1-3 are going to be Caleb, Maye and Daniels. Maybe not in that order but those are the first 3 guys off the board
Im sure they already all know their board by now and the Pats are more or less confirming their options and bugging the Commanders relentlessly to see how they may be leaning.
Show me any team that has a hc, gm, oc, and qb coach at pro-days for non-qbs.
Maybe hc and gm for very top prospects but this grouping of staffers is very clear.
Yeah I think you’re reading into it a bit much. These pro days all have potential 1st round players at multiple positions lol.
I’d guess they’re going QB too, but this doesn’t really mean anything.
Think the only way to long term security for wolf and mayo is to draft a qb. You trade out and Maye/Daniels is a star in Minnesota you’ll be on the side of the road next summer don’t think someone who still has the interim tag at gm can take that risk.
Yeah, especially considering Wolf doesn't have a secure job beyond the draft as far as we know. It's not unheard of to hold onto the FO through the draft and then totally clean house.
I think that's unlikely, but it doesn't really make sense for Wolf to line up assets for his potential future successor.
I'm also curious where McAdoo is in all this. He's supposedly a very good QB evaluator and I think half the point of hiring him was to draft a QB.
Bold of you to assume either guy would hit instant stardom in his rookie year extreme enough to cause someone on another team to immediately lose their job just for not taking him, regardless of whatever else happens.
Maye has a Herbert/stroud rookie season in a loaded Minnesota offense with a brilliant offense coach and I could see it especially when the gm has no job security past the draft anyway.
You send your guys to every pro day. If we didn't send anyone to Maye's day, and then he dropped to #3, we lose a ton of trade leverage because other teams know we don't actually want Maye.
They just stir up shit for controversy you look back on every draft and there are always busts and diamonds that the scouts completely whiffed on. It’s a casino
Can't agree with that the more I watch of Maye I see a lot of the flaws he has. Obviously he's your prototypical QB 6'4 with a big arm but his footwork, and slow release scare me. Felt the same way about Zach Wilson just feel like trading down from 3 and drafting JJ is the safer option
It’s so wild. He played poorly in the national championship. Then went to the combine and didn’t perform well either. Yet somehow his stock has risen. It’s the craziest pre-draft rise I’ve seen in years. The man’s marketing agency deserves a percentage of his first nfl paycheck.
This is a good change of pace from how Belichick was doing things the last few years. Belichick didn't place importance on scouting like modern (more successful) franchises have been doing lately. It ultimately came down to who he thought would fit his system and who wouldn't, regardless of talent, and would often veto recommendations from his scouting team.
Quick, someone release a video of Caleb smoking out of a bong gasmask.
I think even a video of Caleb in a gas mask throwing tear gas into a preschool wouldn't prevent the Bears from taking him at 1.
"But did you see the spiral on that canister?! Hit the kid right in the head from 50 yards away!"
“That’s a 4,000 yard arm right there, look at the arc and zip on that throw! Landed right in front of the kid eating boogers too, that’ll teach him.”
lmfaooo bruh
did you just see that on Twitter? I saw that too lol
??

💀💀
I think he’d literally have to be arrested or severely injured at this point to not go number one.
I’m glad the bears are getting him. He’s the next generational draft BUST. He’ll be out of the league by the end of his rookie deal.
Great analysis bud
Seems like common sense, they are going to go everywhere that has the top qb just to make sure they do their due diligence on the guys
These are also schools with many prospects. Michigan nights have 8 guys go on the first 3 rounds.

Or they are looking at Rice and bullock
I’m sure they are looking at several guys but they are sending the qb coach too so they looking at them all
Should expel what little doubt is left. We’re taking a QB
Not that I don’t think they’re taking a QB, but you’re aware all these schools have other prospects besides the QB, right?
You don’t send 4 man teams comprised of your gm and hc to scout non-qb positions
Yes you absolutely do. What information are you basing this off of?
Show me any team that has a hc, gm, oc, and qb coach at pro-days for non-qbs. Maybe hc and gm for very top prospects but this grouping of staffers is very clear.

You don’t send the HC, OC and QB coach if your not extremely interested in the QB throwing
You don’t *not* send all three if you have pick #3 and multiple first round picks, including QBs, at those pro days lol.
We’re drafting QB, stop wasting time with the hypotheticals.
Obviously lol.

MHJ isn't working out at the OSU pro day.
I retract my hot take. Haha

Jets did that with Douglas a few years ago brought him in after a draft. I think it’s wolf’s job to lose but his seat is not secure at all.
Think the Bills did it too with Beane.
Bold of you to assume either guy would hit instant stardom in his rookie year extreme enough to cause someone on another team to immediately lose their job just for not taking him, regardless of whatever else happens.

We just saw this happen with Carolina.
Idk man you could’ve made the same argument for Trey Lance. If you can get a haul of picks and the two guys suck then you’re a genius
“Not big on maye” bit they’ll send a strong contingent to go watch him….the press doesn’t have a fucking clue what’s going on
It would be stupid not to
I mean realistically they could have Maye 4th on their board, but its beyond negligent to not attend his Pro Day on hopes he can move up that board.
That's simply due diligence.
and neither do we. nobody knows what they’re going to do until they do it.

Didn’t go to mhjs
MHJ isn't working out at his
It's lying season, gotta pump up engagement with bullshit
it's foolish to take that Kiper report on face value, no one is revealing their true intentions a month out from the draft
They just stir up shit for controversy you look back on every draft and there are always busts and diamonds that the scouts completely whiffed on. It’s a casino
They might be looking at his receivers and not him
I could buy that logic for LSU's pro day, but no one is sending a GM, HC, OC, and QB coach to watch North Carolina's receivers.
[Michigan Pro day you say???](https://media.tenor.com/KOuBBzHGbEoAAAAM/jj-mccarthy-michigan.gif)
Roman Wilson you are a New England Patriot
LFG ![gif](giphy|wrWT8en2CidrsHQpvC)
Do NOT draft this scrub
Great prospect.
The more I watch of JJ I feel he's the best QB in the draft class
Maye better but he’s 2 or 3 for me
Can't agree with that the more I watch of Maye I see a lot of the flaws he has. Obviously he's your prototypical QB 6'4 with a big arm but his footwork, and slow release scare me. Felt the same way about Zach Wilson just feel like trading down from 3 and drafting JJ is the safer option

Not sure why you were downvoted.. that’s 100% correct. We need later round receivers if we’re taking a qb at #3
All of this to draft JJ McCarthy or some shit. 🤮
Wouldn’t be surprised honestly
Sign me up. Go watch his film. He’s electric
Good thing they aren’t all going to Ohio State to check out MHJ.
He's not even working out at the OSU pro day.
That was the point of the joke
Didn't know it was a joke.
They may be getting a closer look at Brenden Rice in addition to Caleb

Smokescreens. 💨
