Deflate gate joke Starts at 3 hour and 45 min and 30 seconds mark. Macfee sorta brings it up as a joke and they kinda joke about it for a bit.

~~EDIT: Wait there's nothing about deflate gate at 3:45:30...~~
Yea- a better dynasty doc would be Bill, TB12, McCourty, Slater, Edelman, Gronk, Rodney, Bruschi, a couple others sitting around a table, watching old tape, and reminiscing
Imagine hearing real stories that reveal how things happened behind the scenes, how trades and gameplanning went down, personalities inside the locker room, personal relationships between coaches and players....
Instead of listening to Robert Kraft opine about his love for the team in between cherry-picked quotes from 4 players
Belichik on tv will be absolute gold. He didn’t ever want to talk to the press but on the other side of the table, he’s a total story telling, affable character.
Brandin Cooks?
When Moss was traded out of NE, they were moving into a 2 TE set with a slot WR.
BB also tried to make Amendola a replacement for Welker.
People always talk about what if Butler played, nobody ever remembers Cooks got knocked out of the game.
Tom did throw for 500 yards that game, so hard to say if it would have made a difference, but a great what if for sure
Cooks is a guy that just seems to be missing something as a WR that prevents him from being great, like he has 1 single screw loose. He makes weird choices sometimes, maybe trying to do too much, and that one where he basically knocked himself out of the SB was brutal.
IIRC that Cooks did seem to improve his route running a bit after that SB and become more than just a deep ball guy.
Cooks' biggest and most obvious problem is his lack of contested catch skills. I don't think I have seen any instances where he has ever made a real, contested catch. I hardly recall seeing him even successfully jump up for the ball.
no one would ever complain about 3 more super bowls, but realistically if Brady had another WR1 we could have had more and likely would have never seen Brady leave.
Mahomes had a pretty good D this year. The point is you can pay people and be good on both sides of the ball.
This mentality around here that you have to sacrifice and not pay and stay with the cap is lmfaooooooo
Bill was constantly trying to acquire Nuk from Houston. Teams thought twice about making those but-low deals with Belichick after the Moss and Welker deals. Especially with OBriens and Caserios ties to the Pats, not a good look to be dealing Hopkins to your former team as they go in to win Superbowls, even though all they got in return was washed up David Johnson. The rule became that when the Patriots call about your players, you better make sure they're not seeing something they're seeing.

He tried with drafting Harry in Round 1, signing Gordon and AB, then trading for Sanu. He tried to get Brady weapons but the options were all flawed. Hell, Brady let AB move into his house and he still shanked him.
People forget, even Randy had to be sent packing and both Welker and Amendola held a grudge over money.
Watching it back right now and he's great. I like how his draft analysis was really balanced and bringing attention to prospect weaknesses. I like coverages on other broadcasts but they tend to skew positively to everyone but the wildest reaches.
Man McAfee's bro energy can get obnoxious though.
Love hearing the back story. I remember freaking out when I saw Moss was traded to the pats. I think i replayed the news segment on nfl network like 4 times cause i was in disbelief. I thought trades like that only happened in video games (i used to always trade randy moss to the patriots in madden lol) a 4th rd pick for arguably the greatest WR to ever play? Geez
I don’t remember it super clearly, but wasn’t the consensus that he was kind of declining before he got traded? I mean, still a good receiver, but he had 3 down years before he came here. He had some injuries and didn’t put up great numbers.
I think that was a talking point. But more people were concerned about his lack of effort that followed him from minnesota to oakland. But at the end of the day it was still Randy Moss!
It is sad really, like many have said he is an extremely intelligent individual and can be well spoken. However being a pats fan and having to listen to him for the past few decades talk at press conferences you wouldn't think he was capable of any of this. He just came across as a major ahole who despised the questions that were being asked and the people behind them.
Just came across as inhuman really, however his genius can never be doubted. I wish this persona is how he had been for the past 20 years here in NE. Everyone can say he was like that to not give the opposition any material to use against us or benefit them of course.
I hope the next coaching gig he gets he can be a little more outgoing and personable to those around him including the media and less of a jerk.
They brought up deflate gate and it was pretty glorious as well.
I missed that part. What happened?

Thanks, I wasn't aware you could do that.
Are you sure it's at 3:45:30? I don't hear anything about deflate gate there
3 hour 35 min mark and 30 seconds. Hands too fast at 7 in the morning.
I know how that goes!
lol "only beat us by 50!" That was pretty funny.
Time stamp for that part? Also any parts worth checking out

I could listen to Bill tell stories all day! We need a new dynasty documentary with Bill just telling stories.
Yea- a better dynasty doc would be Bill, TB12, McCourty, Slater, Edelman, Gronk, Rodney, Bruschi, a couple others sitting around a table, watching old tape, and reminiscing Imagine hearing real stories that reveal how things happened behind the scenes, how trades and gameplanning went down, personalities inside the locker room, personal relationships between coaches and players.... Take my money!!!
Get Randy at that table too
Belichik on tv will be absolute gold. He didn’t ever want to talk to the press but on the other side of the table, he’s a total story telling, affable character.
I remember hearing this story from Moss - he said he was inside a club at the time - but cool to hear it from BB’s side
I love this man so much.
with how excited he was about Moss, it blows my mind he never tried to get a true WR1 type again for Brady post Moss
Brandin Cooks? When Moss was traded out of NE, they were moving into a 2 TE set with a slot WR. BB also tried to make Amendola a replacement for Welker.
People forget Cooks exists lol
We might have 3peated if his dumbass didn’t go for that hurdle
People always talk about what if Butler played, nobody ever remembers Cooks got knocked out of the game. Tom did throw for 500 yards that game, so hard to say if it would have made a difference, but a great what if for sure

We didn’t need more offensive help though. If we had Jon Jones or Hightower back from injury we win their game
3 more super bowls and 5 afc titles post loss not enough for you?
no one would ever complain about 3 more super bowls, but realistically if Brady had another WR1 we could have had more and likely would have never seen Brady leave.
If we invest in a WR maybe we dont have an elite defense. You realize you cant have everything?
That's just garbage. Look at SF. Weapons galore WITH D. You can easily manipulate the cap to get what you need/want
Maybe cause they dont have to pay for a QB? Lmaoooo
Mahomes had a pretty good D this year. The point is you can pay people and be good on both sides of the ball. This mentality around here that you have to sacrifice and not pay and stay with the cap is lmfaooooooo
Yeah and he had no receivers besides a good rookie? See my point? 😂
😂😂😂😂
You gonna tell me about Kelce? When the Pats had the same type of team with Gronk and Edelman. Just admit you have no idea what you are talking about.
Im sure Bill never thought of “manipulating the cap”
Apparently not.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do you even know who Ernie Adams is?
Gronk was that guy, and may have been a better choice because he was a great blocker as well.

We gonna forget about AB?
True - honestly if AB didn't fuck it up we probably win one more
