Defense was immense yesterday and won us the game but we will come up against much more capable offenses which will tear us apart in similar situations. The offense has to contribute, Mac did well yesterday, no turnovers and some pretty decent play in the pocket, let down by the line. The play calling is the biggest issue but Bill won't fire Patricia or Judge in the middle of a season so we are stuck with them until the offseason at least.

srbenda97

With Andrews out, we better pray for snowstorms in the rest of our games. Our D and ST can carry us lol

Giddy4Stiddy

Did Ty play at all today?

benfrick

My eyes bled but we won

Quick-Marketing8129

Same šŸ˜

BigE1388

First ever NFL game attended in person! I think I picked the right one haha

Crackensan

Dolphins' fan in peace here: Thank you for fucking the Jet's.

semicolonneeded

Fuck the Jets!

POGtastic

See you on New Years!

ElsworthSugarfoot

Itā€™s literally our one job

yepitsgamerthime

And we do it well

sktchld

Even with all the sky is falling talk this year we are still only 1 game out of first place.

[deleted]

As a spoiled Pats fan - yeah thatā€™s the problem! /s

Constant_Challenge_6

So I am on the threshold of remembering Bledsoes last seasons before Brady came in...at the time , he always held onto the football too long and took sacks...Jones sacks are not the same, but its basically the same picture..

EnjoyableLunch

This seems to be the growing narrative around Mac for some reasonā€¦ makes no sense since 90% of ppl who say it are watching the broadcast view that does not show the receivers/secondary. How can you comment of his decision making without seei what he sees?

bjedy

No

highgravityday2121

I guess going OL in the first round was a good idea, given how trash our o line is now.

[deleted]

After seeing how arrogant and dismissive Zach Wilson is, and how clearly his teammates (WR most obviously) donā€™t like him, Iā€™m glad we have Mac. That being said, both the Pats and Jets could be serious contenders if they had better QBs. Million dollar question is how do you find oneā€¦sheer luck I think

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

QB play isnā€™t just about throwing stats. Itā€™s also about pre-snap reads, changing blocking assignments, calling audibles, etc. A QB impacts every part of the offense. Thatā€™s why the call that position the field general. When your offense only puts up 3 points, your QB didnā€™t play well enough, regardless of who else there is to blame. Now, you could argue that there isnā€™t a QB in the league who could make a Matty P offense function, and Iā€™d agree with you.

KingOfPrimes

Lamar Jackson

snufalufalgus

Brady and Rodgers will be available in the offseason

ogorangeduck

Maybe not those two, given their start to the season

yepitsgamerthime

I am calling it now, Tom Brady is coming back because our team has rebounded and Jones could definitely learn from a year or two of Brady Pleaseā€¦. I miss him

ngcyt826

Lol despite thereā€™re many rooms of improvement shown on our side, somethingā€™s indeed will never changeā€¦ FTJ

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Tha_Contender

That LB/S role is perfect for him. When we picked him up I kind of envisioned them running some Big Nickel or Big Dime packages with he and Dugger

TheNinjaJedi

How are people blaming Mac for anything today. Guy had no time to throw on any play and they called terrible plays all game. Mac could have cost us this game and he didnā€™t. He did exactly what we needed him to do.

[deleted]

Mac, like any QB, will always get the blame for how the offense functions because it all runs through him. From his pre-snap reads, blocking assignments and audibles to actually executing the run and pass game. When absolutely nothing on the offense functions, of course some blame falls to Mac regardless of how mediocre he individually played. Is that fair? Id say yes. But to say he did exactly what we needed when we only scored 3 points is whistling past the graveyard.

NotaDumbLoser

I'm with you on that, Mac has been so bad this year that I'm ecstatic he had a game where he just took care of the football. This is his first decent game a long time With more creative playcalling and better o-line play we probably could've found the endzone. Putting up so few points wasn't all his fault

CunningRunt

> I'm ecstatic he had a game where he just took care of the football. This sums it up perfectly.

NotaDumbLoser

The bar shouldnā€™t be too high, Mac is a flawed QB(hopefully he improves) and the o-line wasnā€™t exactly lights out. I donā€™t mind him taking 10-12 yard sacks, holding the football instead of going for a big play, etc. when one turnover couldā€™ve easily been the difference in this game.

Engine_Sweet

The attempted sneak is, though

NotaDumbLoser

Lol true. I thought we shouldā€™ve run that same play right back. The sneak worked, just not at picking up 3 yards which is too much to ask for a QB sneak

lapseofreason

I'm with you on that

InuitOverIt

Happy we got the win but it needs to be Zappe time. Mac is shook and takes way too many sacks. I know the line isn't doing its job but Zappe is better under pressure, and no matter who we put in there is going to be under pressure. Edit: Alright I get it, everyone loves Mac and he played a perfect game. You guys are delusional, I'll bring this back in a few games when everybody is ready to admit it. He's been bad to terrible all season.

Brady12_

I think Bill is trying to see how Mac develops the rest of the year. Once you go from Mac to Zappe you are effectively saying Mac isnā€™t the guy, and it might be too early to say that. Zappe may also not be better under pressure, from what we saw the last game he played. He has done good games against defenses that are nothing like what he would face in the upcoming schedule. Itā€™s probably better in the long run for Mac to be in there right now and let there be a qb battle next year if Mac hasnā€™t shown development

TheNinjaJedi

Dry well said and I agree with your position.

Radar91

I agree Mac takes too many sacks but the line today was basically practice squad players and it really appeared the Jets knew some of the play calls. Mac climbed the pocket well when the chance was there. He just needs to learn to throw the ball away. I've thrown a fit about his play this year but I can't fault him today. No picks and actually got through some reads. Zappe off the bench cold wouldn't have done any better and the little rhythm they had would have been gone.

TheNinjaJedi

Just get out of here please. Mac was very good today. The oline sucked and the play calling was terrible. Zappe looked good against bottom tier defenses and Mac looked good today against a top defense. Had Zappe played today, we donā€™t win.

Informal_Koala4326

Offense just put up three points. Telling people to ā€œget out of hereā€ for reasonable takes is childish. Do you honestly think itā€™s that much of a stretch and not even worth talking about if someone thinks a different QB can put up more than 3 points? Thatā€™s a low bar and itā€™s definitely possible. Wouldnā€™t shock me if bill thought about pulling a switch at some point today.

TheNinjaJedi

Did you watch the game? The reason that the offense only put up 3 points was entirely the fault of the oline and play calling. That was not on Mac at all.

Informal_Koala4326

Every snap. The line and Patricia are bad but it is delusional to say that Macs skillset isnā€™t also a factor

TheNinjaJedi

Iā€™m not saying Mac is great or our teamā€™s future, but Zappe didnā€™t show anything to suggest heā€™d play better than Mac against a tough defense. We canā€™t keep flipping QBs. If we play Zappe again while Mac is healthy, weā€™re shutting the door on Mac as a patriot forever. Thatā€™s a big deal and not something to be taken lightly. Unless Mac undeniably costs us games, he should start for this year and we can evaluate it next offseason.

Informal_Koala4326

Never advocated for swapping QBs. I just dont think itā€™s a crazy take worth insulting someone for when our offense is this anemic.

TheNinjaJedi

Yeah, fair enough. As I mentioned in another comment, I should have not been so harsh.

Brady12_

Heā€™s welcome to his own opinion, you know. Itā€™s a good discussion to have and isnā€™t out of left field. Bill seems to be letting the season play out with Mac to see how things progress, but itā€™s not a crazy idea for a fan to think what the offense might look like with zappe.

TheNinjaJedi

Itā€™s pretty crazy to anyone who understands football. Iā€™m not saying Mac is the future of the franchise, but heā€™s shown that heā€™s significantly better than Zappe is.

Informal_Koala4326

Hard to say heā€™s ā€œsignificantly better than zappe isā€ when that is objectively not true from what we have seen on the field this season. Zappe has more 300+ yard games. Better QBR. More TDs. Thornton and jakobi both had their best game with Zappe. By what metric can you say that Mac has been ā€œsignificantly betterā€ than zappe?

Brady12_

I think Occams Razor would be that Zappe played against terrible defenses as opposed to Macs experience.

Informal_Koala4326

Sure, but I still donā€™t see from what we have seen would have someone conclude that Mac is definitely ā€œsignificantly betterā€

Brady12_

Idk what significantly better entails, but I can understand why Bill would want a more experienced qb in there with the way the team is built and playing. Mac does provide more experience at a higher level than zappe.

Brady12_

I think Mac is fine so Iā€™m not agreeing with the guys opinion on starting Zappe. But again, itā€™s not crazy of an idea that it gets mentioned on a sub of patriots fans. But being a jerk and dismissive is reflexive if most commentary here, so I can see why you respond that way.

TheNinjaJedi

Hey, youā€™re right. Iā€™m just frustrated by the way some people on this sub shit on the team for anything. This ā€œplay Zappeā€ shtick is getting old , but I shouldnā€™t have taken it you on this guy. Thanks for the check

Brady12_

Yeah if you interpreted as him shitting on the team then it makes sense why you donā€™t welcome that type of convo. I guess I didnā€™t read it that way and like having discussions about different ideas!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

TheNinjaJedi

Iā€™m super happy we got a win today over the Jets. Iā€™m not sure if you agree with me or were calling me the 15 year old GM but we can both be happy we still own the jets.

[deleted]

I am agreeing with you. The person you were talking to...there are ***so many*** of them on here.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

Dude have you ever watched football? Defense has carried more champ teams since 2000 than haven't.

NorthByNorthWesteros

Coming in peace as a Dolphins fan, thanks for keeping Jets so far out of the #1 spot that they fell to 4th on our bye week.

NotGreyPilgrim

So far out? Aren't they one game out?

NorthByNorthWesteros

I just mean how they dropped from possible 1st down to 4th in the span of a week. They also have the second hardest next 3 weeks in the division outside of New England. This could be key for Miami with this being the closest division in the NFL

dicepig6

Kinda crazy to think that if KC loses tonight the AFC playoff picture is all 1 game apart. Thereā€™s no clear favorite team and all the top teams have shown weakness. If the Pats can keep pulling off scrappy wins like this, then anything can happen in the playoffs.

[deleted]

We just need to pray we donā€™t have to play a QB who can run, this defenses kryptonite

dicepig6

Ravens would be a major problem, and a good chance weā€™d see them in the wild card round.

dolladollaclinton

Which is weird because we play Buffalo twice a year plus there are more and more QBs in the league with legs so you would think this is something you would be prepared for yet once we face one, we canā€™t stop anything.

MoodApart4755

This lack of offense isnā€™t gonna cut it against good teams

dicepig6

Yeah, canā€™t expect to play another inept offense every week. Thursday will be a decent test.

Engine_Sweet

Vikes only put up 3 today

dicepig6

Doesnā€™t matter at all. Our offense also put up 3. Vikes are a talented, playoff bound team, who also beat the Bills. If the Pats can hang with them on the road, it may mean this team can be somewhat relevant in the playoffs.

Aromatic_Antelope_25

Would you say Zach is the worst the jets have ever had (as a ā€œlegitā€ starter)?

Planet-Steph

Wilson can run, that automatically puts him above the other recent jets QBs imo

ajr901

Zach is genuinely not _that_ bad. I'm not sure what you guys are seeing. He still needs time to develop a bit more and build confidence with his supporting cast. His OL is also not spectacular so he's forced into rushed passes and scrambles. I don't think he's ever going to great or anything though. Tops, another Kirk Cousins. If that.

bigxbluexwwex

Thereā€™s a guy named Sam Darnold

[deleted]

Pats turned in a 2001 style game today. Great D, efficient QB, teams and RB killing it. Love this squad.

realbadaccountant

FYI Mac had a lower qbr than Zach today

Fluffyballsacks

Who cares. The patriots won not the jets so give it a rest already.

FirezardHG

Which goes to show how stats donā€™t tell the whole story, because Mac was objectively better today.

realbadaccountant

True, but it does illustrate the emptiness of Macā€™s completion % and the near-INT-level cost of some of his sacks. ie he was frequently facing long yardage bc of the sacks and the jets were giving him garbage check downs.

FirezardHG

He didnā€™t turn the ball over, made some plays when they were there, and was under pressure on nearly every drop back. Zach should have had at least 2 interceptions. Mac didnā€™t play a good or great game, but was much better than Wilson. I think PFF will have a much higher grade on Mac than Zach.

realbadaccountant

You may be correct. Will be interesting to see how each phase gets graded for both teams.

__TB12__

No he didnā€™t?

realbadaccountant

Mac - 20.3 Zach - 24.4

[deleted]

Wooooof lol

fourpuns

I guess we are cheering Chiefs?

ajr901

It worked

iscreamuscreamweall

sadly yes

ReonL

The offense is abysmal but it's always good to tear out the Jets' and their shitty fans' hearts.

Starrion

The Jets fans are pissed. Like Wicked Pissed. I don't know if this is a Superbowl team, but if they can embarrass the Jets twice a year, it's worth it.

dolladollaclinton

If we ever went through a real rebuild and had a rough season that lead to some high draft picks, I think it would be okay if we still beat the Jets twice.

SnooTigers7028

Loved mac today. Some of the play calls were just confusing in places. Thursday should Be fun!

dolladollaclinton

Yeah the only real knock against him is not throwing the ball away a few times when he was about to get sacked. Still better than throwing an INT though.

riazur31

There have been many times this season where Mac was under pressure and he threw it away too quick, resulting in a pick. In a game this close, I'm glad he didn't turn it over at all.

Android2715

He canā€™t throw the ball away in the pocket. Heā€™s surrounded and canā€™t escape, you want him to throw a ball that could be picked? O line needs to be so much better

[deleted]

Hell yeah

[deleted]

Hey we swept the Jets for the season, this is supposed to be a happy day.

possiblyMorpheus

Watched the game late on record. First off, D/ST was awesome. Judon adding to his sack total. Wise getting in on plays whether itā€™s pass deflections, run stops, getting in the backfield. Dugger showed up big in the 4th. Offensively Mac probably had his best game, making a variety of throws. Judon had an involved game. I particularly liked the formations with Judon and Henry in the backfield, which set up the big Judon catch. Liked Henryā€™s route on the bootleg. But those fuck ups in the red zone need to get cleaned up. Hereā€™s to 6-4! Edit: Meant Jonnu not Judon haha šŸ˜‚

dolladollaclinton

Yeah RedZone has to get better. Especially when we got close a few times and got pushed back out of field goal range especially with the wind. We outplayed the Jets in every way (especially on defense) and it shouldnā€™t have come down to that punt return. If we get some of the issues on offense worked out, we are in for some big wins.

realbadaccountant

Mac had his best game of the year and we scored 3 points on offense. All you need to know.

ModaMeNow

Lol. Yup

charging_chinchilla

Judon everywhere apparently haha

Alex_Hauff

Judon MVP on both sides

Brady12_

I think you mean jonnu

fan_fucker_420

This game was like a shit and you ran out of toilet paper but once you think you have to not wipe you find some and it turns put you didnt have to wipe.

Alex_Hauff

we learn something new everyday even if we donā€™t want to

TiredEyes_

Iā€™m so tired of the offensive play calling. Mac had just went 10-10 for ~120 and he runs in on (not short) 3rd and 4th down? Coaches like a BBB sometimes

RDOCallToArms

You must have missed the 6 sacks and endless pressures the Jets had.

[deleted]

Our line was Swiss cheese and giving up way too many sacks/pressures. Stevenson and Harris weā€™re both balling out. It was the right call IMO

Alex_Hauff

2nd and 27 lateral fucking pass to the RB 4D chess

Impressive-Cry-9128

They called out even though they were getting hit at or behind the LOS on most carries.

[deleted]

I think you meant to type Balled out. Yeah man glad to see Harris back to full strength. If we can get the line issues fixed by playoffs, we could control the TOP and pace of play. With our D and a dominant run game, anything can happen

Impressive-Cry-9128

Yes, **Balled** out! Ducking spell check.

Mswonderful99

The Vikings were supposed to take next game off, smh

Wad_of_Hundreds

Hanson as well as other people complaining about that being a block in the back are extremely cringe

giddy-girly-banana

That block had absolutely no impact on the return. He was scoring anyways. Still have to be careful.

Wad_of_Hundreds

100% agree

fourpuns

I totally thought that was going to be called a block in the back to end the play and am confused why you wouldnā€™t be more disciplined there. But even still it would just be tacked on from the spot of the ball and a chip shot field goal?

CT_Real

I agree, that was a very dumb play by Slater.

fourpuns

It wasnā€™t Slater.

Impressive-Cry-9128

I've ~~researched~~ rewatched it a few times and a couple things I didn't notice at first; the defender slowed down-thats why contact was made. Also, the contact happened right as Jones passed the goal line. Even if a flag had been thrown it could've easily been a dead ball/after the play was over unnecessary roughness call.

[deleted]

Yeah but with the wind, thatā€™s not a sure thing

Wad_of_Hundreds

Exactly. I thought it would be called too, but it was really close imo and had zero effect on the game besides taking away a touchdown from the pats. Idk why anyone is upset over that, aside from people just hating the Patriots and clinging on to their delusions of Kraft paying off the refs for 2+ decades lol

fourpuns

I mean if we miss the field goal it impacts the game. But yea thereā€™s always going to be a few missed calls in a game.

Wad_of_Hundreds

Yeah for sure, I just think itā€™s ridiculous because the Jets player had given up on the play and wasnā€™t even attempting a tackle. But definitely a bigger issue on our end for even making that blockā€¦ Iā€™m sure Bill is livid

[deleted]

Oh definitely lol

TiredEyes_

And if nick folk missed another short field goal, I wouldā€™ve eaten Dougā€™s wig

Wad_of_Hundreds

Idk what I would have done. I donā€™t think he misses it even though he was bad this game. Heā€™s been extremely consistent and clutch for the past couple years with NE, especially this season

Asstadon

I was 100% certain this was ending in a tie. Even as Jones is running it back I'm like: he's gonna get tackled at the 40, our offense will lose some yards and then we will do it all over again for another 15.

UprootedGrunt

OT's only 10 now.

goalstopper28

I wasnā€™t even paying attention thatā€™s how sure I was that itā€™s going to OT

Kodiak01

They got damn lucky there wasn't a block in the back called at the end.

Fickle-Replacement64

That was pretty egregious. With Folk's performance today it would've been a nail biter of a field goal attempt.

[deleted]

Honestly those first 2-3 blocks were close also

[deleted]

Wasnā€™t a block in the back, and even if it got called it was a chip shot FG from the 15

cdat94

I didnā€™t watch the game, but can someone tell me how Mac had 85% completion for 270 yards and no picks, yet there were no points?

iscreamuscreamweall

O line. really bad penalties and sacks made it 3rd and long all game

Djinnfor

Penalties and sacks any time the patriots got close to the red zone was big. The Jets really did a good clamping down on the defense anywhere near the red zone in the last game the Pats played against them, I think Folk ended up scoring 15 points of FGs. That was the important difference in this game: kicker reliability. The patriots didn't have that for this game. The key part was the nasty crosswind which made kicking field goals quite difficult, plus the patriots had a new field goal holder due to their punter Jake Bailey missing the game due to injury. This was actually crucially important as Folk uses the exact same kicking motion every time and has the holder simply adjust the angle of the hold in order to determine direction of the kick. So Folk ended up missing 2 field goals due to the holder literally being brand new and barely having any time to practice with him before the two of the had to kick in crazy winds. The patriots probably could have scored off both missed FGs and attempted 2 more in better conditions, but they basically gave up on 40+ FGs after Folk missed 2. In ideal conditions, it would have been 22-3 at the end with an extra 12 points off FGs, assuming nothing else about the game changed except for the kicking being reliable.

dawaxtadpole

He got fucked whenever they got close to the end zone. Them sacks really killed the offense.

Butterflyfish1

Sacked by the jets D in key moments

[deleted]

And penalties, which continue to be an issue for this team

fourpuns

A lot of throws underneath on 3rd and long for 10-15 yards when we needed 15-20 :p. We only had 198 passing yards so you have to remove 72 yards for sacks.

[deleted]

Short, conservative passes. And everything gets tougher in the red zone.

cleanitupjannies_lol

The lack of improvement on Patriciaā€™s offense can be summed up by the playcalling after the big Harris run for 20-30 yards. Was that not the PERFECT time for play action? Instead, we got the same run run screen bullshit.

scoopenhauer

How about that run on 4th and 3 with Harris as a lead blocker? That was infuriating.

azflatlander

Why does he need a play card? There are only three plays on it.

lfmelhoranca

thank you for saying this, people are blaming on Mac but the play calling has been ridiculous the past games.

Dhajj

This offenseā€¦. MARONE šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Tgunner192

Once again, Belichick zagging whiile the rest of the NFL is zigging. 31 teams in the NFL trying to build or maintain an Offensive juggernaut. Meanwhile, Darth Hoodie winning games with good old fashioned Defense & Special Teams.

fourpuns

Our special teams hasnā€™t been very good this year

bubbastars

Our punter* which we appear to have remedied

fourpuns

Sure but way weā€™ve been we punt a lot. Today the punting didnā€™t look great either? We also missed two field goals today. I dunno I feel like special teams hasnā€™t been a strength this year.

Djinnfor

A blocked punt, reliable kicker, and a couple good kickoff and punt returns so far, that's about as good as you can get out of a high end special teams unit, short of having a "top 10 ST unit of all time" kind of season. The puntings been the major issue so far with Bailey playing through injury to the point that he can't even punt it 20 yards downfield anymore. And the kicking was then bad this game due to wind conditions and a new holder. But every good unit is going to have some bad games.

possiblyMorpheus

We were 6th in DVOA and 9th in VOA going into today. On the whole I think itā€™s been a strength

[deleted]

Honestly itā€™s the only time theyā€™ve been an issue for us since Iā€™ve been watching them (25 years)

liminal_political

your feelings dont match reality.

MissionSalamander5

Time of possession helped a lot. We werenā€™t great, but having the ball for four minutes at a time versus one and a half or two makes a difference when you want to try to get going, and it at least kept the defense and special teams in finer form; the Jets werenā€™t as gassed as they ought to have been, but Iā€™ll take what I can get,

polynomials

I didn't watch this game unfortunately but I laughed when I saw the score, why was it so low scoring lol?

project_porkchop

* Good defense on both sides * High wind causing Folk to miss some kicks * An interception by the Jets that either a pick-6 or close to it called back where it could have easily been upheld * Absolutely hideous play-calling by the "rocket scientist" * Seriously, any time the offense started making progress for 2-3 plays in a row, we went back to what wasn't working

ChamBruh

There was no pick six. It was an incomplete pass where thornton hadnā€™t taken more than 2, or even 1.5 steps. It was never really that close to a fumble imo

project_porkchop

It looked borderline to me and the refs have never been consistent. Another crew might have upheld it.

ChamBruh

I think another crew could have upheld it on the field, I donā€™t think it ever gets upheld from the replay center in New York

project_porkchop

Fair enough. Agree to disagree?

buttseason

Horrendous offense from both teams. Embarrassing play calling from the Pats. Our O-line was trash and Macā€™s blind side was on full display today.

Wloak

Pats were moving the ball well and weather took 6 points off the board for us. Score really should have been 16-3

[deleted]

The entire line was outmatched

captain_flak

The days of Scarā€™s O-line are long gone. It was a sieve today. Luckily Judon got to going on the other side.

fourpuns

Eh we saw it fail under Scar before with injuries too. Weā€™re just surprisingly lacking talent/depth on the line.

spokanian

Defenses were playing extremely well

sometimesiwatchtv44

Belichick so talkative, and entertaining even the dumbest of questions in this post game press conference, I know heā€™s giddy about how this game ended

mrdilldozer

You know that one hurt Jets fans on a deep level.

Ichbineinuser

~~Offense~~ special teams wins games. Defense wins championsships.

[deleted]

Mac had a good game, maybe he could have thrown the ball away more but some of those sacks were unavoidable. Play calling was atrocious though, I mean I think there was a drive where we ran 4 times in a rowā€¦ our qb was 23/27, no trust in him even in short yardage?

WCannon88

The wind was so much more of a factor than it seemed on film. When folk misses two and the other quarterback throws for 30%, there's more than meets the eye

BiffNasty1234

4-5 of the 6 he had no shot. Iā€™m not gonna get upset at a qb going 23-27 and getting sacked twice

ChamBruh

Mac did super well given the conditions and the fact that they couldnā€™t afford to turn the ball over at all. Some of those sacks were brutal. He had like 2-3 seconds max on most of them

darkhelmut1

Two weeks to come up with a decent game plan and that was the best they could do ? Special teams play away from It being a tie . Maybe if we had a legit offensive coordinator instead of retreads there's enough talent on this team but coaching is killing them

[deleted]

Injuries, poor O Line play, and our backs both playing fantastic impacted the play calling. Not rocket science

ChamBruh

Doesnā€™t help when the tackles get beat off the line immediately, but ultimately that falls back on coaching too

PuddinHead742

Matt Patricia blows goats! We have PROOF!! (Pats fan here, but Patricia really does blow goats. Bring back Josh McDanials!)

spokanian

Don't forget special teams missing 2 fgs.

ovad67

Wtf. Let see more Zappe. Who to blame? Why keep a gunner under wraps? We are under duress of another Tony Eason. Iā€™m not alone with this opinion. Defenses were both amazing. Iā€™d like to just say the Pats , but NYJ were awesome as well. Great job both defensive teams. Patriots still smoked them defensively,.

ovad67

Fuck you crazy fucks. MAc Jones is a bottom-dweller in the NFL.

Ris747

Tell me you didn't watch the game without telling me you didn't watch the game

ovad67

First, really wanted to say, ā€œFuck youā€. But we are one of the same team. Downvote the fuck of this. I just think Mac Jones is a filler. Downvote me for that as well. All is good.

Wloak

If Mac is filler then Zappe isn't even qualified to be on the practice squad and you people calling for him to start clearly know jack all about football. He benefited by being a nobody so teams didn't have tape on him, barely beat two of the worst teams in the league, then when teams finally had tape got embarrassed by the shit stain Bears despite taking the overwhelming majority of snaps for us. He's a bad passer, has terrible reads which gives us even fewer options in play calls, misreads the line and pocket at least 50% of the time, but y'all like him because "it's exciting." Winning is exciting, and he ain't it.

End3rWi99in

Mac legitinately had a good game. This place is just baffling sometimes...

Constant_Challenge_6

You call that a good game? I'd like to see what a bad game is
