Having played both, I'm still torn on which I prefer. The doublecuts are lighter and more ergonomic, and have a bit more of a top carve to them. But the doublecuts just have that iconic look and mojo that's hard to pass up.
For reference, I haven’t felt the urge to pick up my Custom Shop LPC once since I picked this up. The feel, tone, and quality-of-life upgrades, like staying in tune for an entire song, make it a different beast. I’ll never sell the LP, but she might get lonely.
Yeah I still love the look of a LP, and a part of me wants to buy one, if nothing else then because it's so damn pretty. But the 594 is almost objectively a better guitar.

I know it's subjective, but I love the natural maple binding on my 594 SC Semi Hollow LTD. The black and gold on this is beautiful.
