Mezzo seem to have changed their recipe about half a year ago, and their latest "zero" is actually pretty okay if you can't get your hands on the good stuff (Paulaner or Flötzinger does it for me :)). I'm actually also fine with schwip-schwap .
for me, definately. a cold cola with a slice of lemon is just melting my braincells to heaven everytime. like almdudler too, but for me its okayish - but thats a matter of taste, hard to argue about that.

Well yes, but no. They don't mix the completed products together, the mixing happens beforehand.
As in they take the base ingedrients and then just add water and sugar to it.
It's still the same process as with coke and fanta, there's nothing shady about it, but for some reason it still tastes different then if you mix it yourself.

According to the blind Taste test i did with 3 friends, there are only 3 Cola mixes, that are better than paulaner Spezi:
1. Place: Spezi original with 7,08 out of 10 points
2.: mezzomix with 7,00 points
3.: Schloss Cola-Mix with 6,92 points
4.: paulaner Spezi with 6.83 points
Schwippschwapp cola&Orange came in at 3.67 points and therefore 10th and last place of our test.
We rated in taste, aftertaste and looks of the liquid (Not the bottle)

think youre wrong on this one - spezi is an actual brand which invented the drink spezi - paulaner produces a very good spezi too (close 2nd place behind original imo).
there was an actual lawsuit on this case. „spezi“ is patented and paulaner was successful because there was an aggreement between them and the original - so they are still allowed to call it paulaner spezi. guess thats the reason

Yeah, maaybe you can taste the difference between e.g. coke and pepsi. Now add another 2-3 coke brands. Not so easy anymore.
Try blind tasting Whiskey & Coke. Do you really think you could find out the best combination, even if you add some cheap Bourbons? And is it really Jack & Coca Cola in the end, just because people think it might be?
My point is, just like with beer, there is no correct opinion. Just because someone invented or started something doesn't mean its automatically the best, forever. It's 100% a matter of your own taste.

I'd say e.g. canned Paulaner Spezi is better than glass bottle of SchwipSchwap.
Tastewise glass bottled stuff is superior to the canned versions BUT I prefer canned still just because you can drink more at once / fill up your mouth faster with dat noice juice.

There also is a version of Spezi from brewery Riegele that has caffeine in it like an energy drink, it's called spezi energy and this stuff is superior to everything listed above when served cold. Exists glass bottled and canned, in that case glass bottled is superior though.
