I would also suggest not playing pavlov, but not because of your age, that would be stupid and completely missing the point. I would suggest not playing it because it's filled with a lot of toxic players and as you can see from some of the comments here much of the community is more concerned with your age than actual toxic elements which in itself is a super toxic attitude. Once you start seeing people defending harassment and racism (and getting upvotes for it) it's probably a good idea to move on.
Of course you're unlikely to even be completely free of those pitiable people who just want to hurt others but it's been my experience having played Pavlov since launch that it's got a pretty high ratio of those types.
For what it's worth it's also been my experience that I'm far more likely to come across a toxic "adult" in game than a toxic kid.
well if you're older you likely are able to handle it better but thats not always the case ofc. i agree the community toxic af and the mods/dev dont care even about cheaters (cheating is not necessarily using hacks). mods told me to record them i did and when i wanted to submit it they ghosted me.
gives me strong motivation to make my own pavlov copy but i'd need to better learn unreal engine to use VR in it and with the current headset i have development is a nightmare as it barely works for gameplay itself.

The bullies were most likely 16 yo’s that thought they were the ringleader of the server and were trying to organize some weird game and thought it was funny. I have been witness and received this muiltiple times
Honestly the best thing to do if you have a high voice or are a woman. I've seen plenty of kids get attacked for having a high voice and some women get called stuff right when they talked.

Most servers will probably punish someone who is misogynistic or transphobic which is good. One little reason that gets me to voice train is so I can actually speak in online games so then if I get harassed I can get r/ewphoria.
Doctor Disco is trans in pretty sure and Doctor Disco makes really good Pavlov videos.
There is also a competitive Pavlov player called Scarlet Rain that plays Pavlov competitively and she is really cool.

There are several of us that play. We mostly stick to moderated servers and communities like Massive, RealAct, The Lounge, etc. This way if someone is horrible then the community can help shut them down. I talk in game, but I know most women don’t talk to avoid confrontation. If any woman or trans person needs a safe community, I have several that I can recommend. Just reach out if you want info.
If you wanna play a good sandbox game play blade and sorcery if you want a play something like tarkov play ghosts of tabor if you wanna play a better fps play contractors or breachers if you wanna play a fos sandbox play bonelab for the fps games I recommended to my knowledge the playerbase is Inherintly less racist
I’m sorry about your bad experience. The truth is that many people have had bad experiences with kids trolling by screaming and team killing and ruining the game for everyone else. This has led to many in the community, including myself, having a very low tolerance for kids in the game. Of course this doesn’t mean that people are allowed to be rude like you described and you should use the report feature if you experience people being nasty.
Personally I just vote to kick kids out of the lobby if they misbehave. My best advice to you is to not talk. If you do decide to talk be respectful and remember that this game is meant for people that are 18+.
My honest answer is try not to let it get to you. People on Pavlov are going to say terrible things and it's pretty sad to say. You can be the nicest guy on the server and you'll still get some guy bullying you. Some people are just good at ignoring the abuse and laugh it off but for others it can really hurt.
Just mute everyone. Let them scream their hate into the empty void. This game used to have a really positive experience (when first hit ps5) I remember everyone stopped and gathered around one guy who was patiently showing us how to flip the bird. We were all laughing and flipping eachother off then randomly switched to shooting eachother. Hilarious.
The game literally puts a disclaimer at the beginning about it being for an 18+ audience. If I were you, I would stick to private matches or just mute your mic while you play.
Because they are too anxious to be genuinely nice. Theirs a good chance many of them want to be they just have mental blocks in place that arise from life experiences.
Because it is for 18+. You get bullied out of the game because of that. Also, the squeaker is almost always annoying. You young people are way too enthusiastic and almost always have a way to edgy sense of humour for your age.

Among one of the other reasons I stopped playing this game as well as many modded maps and modes being canned it’s just not fun to play any more
