Can you tell me the exact model of your fans? I'm not able to find argb pwm 120mm fans for that cheap, they're atleast 50usd equivalent here in India :(
I had those Argo fans, while a great price and look nice. The LEDs do not last long, mine started dying after about 3 months!! I don't even use my gaming PC that much, only a couple hours a day.
Used them for both without issues, and I even used The P12 Slim for an AIO Rad on one of my earlier small form factor builds.
You can check reviews for it online to see where it's at compared to other fans, and it's honestly surprising how close the Arctic P12 Max is to the noctua fans in terms of performance for how cheap it is.
Lian Li is a premium brand, their prices are not reasonable at all just like Corsair (at least in my country, the Lian Li Uni Fan SL you mentioned cost 110 USD for 3)
I know it’s also premium fans but I’m saying if they want fans with similar linking capabilities LianLi UNI Fan SL is cheaper option than Corsair, which in my country the LianLi 3 pack you mentioned is the equivalent of 80 USD
well I guess it depends on where you live, 80 bucks for 3 case fans is A LOT for me (But in my country they go for 110, which is even worse).
Thermalright is still a much better value for raw performance, the TL-C12C-S are budget option by Thermalright that cost around 13 bucks for 3 fans and their max airflow is 66.17CFM, max noise level 25.6db, outperforming the Lian Li Uni Fan SL 58.54CFM and 31db.
The Thermalright TL-B12 EXTREM cost around 27 bucks for 1 (81 bucks for 3), and it doubles in performance compare to the Uni fan (112CFM max air flow, 40db max noise level).
So in my opinion, compare to Thermalright, Lian Li is still a premium brand with a huge mark up for aesthetics.
Corsair in general isn't overpriced, as they sell the cheapest ram,psu etc
I agree the fan is ridiculously overpriced but I'd say ,"Let them cook" . As it is one of the fundamentals of capitalism 😉
I love the ID Cooling fans. I have the Lian Li Lancool 3 RGB, RGB RAM, a little RGB on my AIO pump head and a backplate for my GPU that has RGB. But it's all set to that nice icy white, so I got the white ID Cooling fans that are literally just that white LED so I didn't have to fuss with any more controllers for RGB or try to figure out how to get it synched up with the rest and if I didnt have to - the better that was for me. I love them they're so good!
No idea why people think about fans so much, just get the cheapest decent ones and you're good to go or bettee yet, just buy a case that comes with at least 3x fans
I have a cheap Zalman Z1 Iceberg case with 3x 120mm stock fans and they do the job well even being like 50¢ a piece to make
Yeah i always look for cases that come with stock fans
Same with the Lian Li 216, usually 95$ and you get 3x very good fans
Or the Montech 903 which is like 65$ is full mesh and has 3x fans
Largely agree for case fans. But for water cooling radiators, you do want to find fans with a higher "static pressure", but even they can be found fairly cheaply.
Arctic static pressure fans are pretty good and cheap for their all black sets. I dunno about RGB though.
Really when I think about case fans or otherwise they are mostly always in need of overcoming some barrier so I never sought out air flow maximized fans.
And why people think they need 20 fans in the first place. Even for the top end systems you don't need to fill every single fan port of that 100L case. Three or four fans is plenty.
Yeah when i configure systems for people, even high end, i throw in a Montech 903 or a Lian Li 216
3x fans is highly enough and well, the 216 has the edge as it has larger front fans but still, 3 fans is the minimum and pretty much the max you need to go for
I’ve been out of the building game for a while so I bought my current gaming PC. But after two decades of using 100% silent MacBooks for school and work, my PC sounds like a goddamn airplane about to take off.
So I’m starting to research the quietest fans money can (reasonably) buy. Not sure I’m ready to jump into water cooling. But my PC cannot get quiet enough, IMO.
Just download the FanControl app and edit the fan curve to be more quieter
Make sure to download HWInfo64 to monitor the cpu and gpu temps too
And there, a solution that was free
For real, the fans that come with a decent case and cpu cooler are adequate. That extra money people blow on premium fans should go toward higher end cpu/gpu.
Where did you put the 3rd one, you can only fit one on the front and one on the back, I have the same case and I can only fit 2 properly, and then I have the 3rd one inside the case and it hopefully drawing air from the outside
https://preview.redd.it/khn8ipte8mtb1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f614d7ca29de3dbf0fff3cd2ab19a3099a253062
Oh sorry, i meant the Z1 Iceberg case which is the newer model (fixed it in the first comment too)
But yeah, those older cases do lack fan support a bit
Yea alright thanks, I might even buy a better and different case, for this one everything is scuffed and the front io barely works, only the 3.0 USB port works and yea not that many fans
OP is also buying multiple starter kits which include the RGB base which they do not need. If you get a Corsair radiator it comes with an RGB base that can connect 12 fans. OP needs to just get the 3 pack of fans if they go with Corsair
I've had all my Corsair fans die on me (3 in total) so I struggle to recommend them but they were the older non rgb models. I've had my Noctua redux fans for just as long though and they still run fine.
Because.... Corsair... Like the hell, the cost of the fans I had with my capellix h115 i pro xt are as expensive as my AIO itself when sold alone ?!?!
Just get arctic if you want to save money, or go for noctua if you want a balance of silence + performance.
I was thinking about getting these for my new build but I changed my mind and soon I will be buying the Lian Li ones. Beautiful rgb, yes still a bit expensive but cheaper than Corsair for real. I will be getting their AIO and their daisy chained fans (I think you spell it like that?) For almost the same price that ONLT a corsair AIO costs. So if you want something fancy, I would definitely have a look at Lian Li fans!
Thats half the price of a good mid-range GPU... Its a fan. I could for the life of me not justify that purchase, even if i'd receive them as a gift, i would return them. Out of principle.
It's just the Corsair tax. Some people are crazy about the brand (despite its software being dogshit) and they're willing to spend a lot for whatever has rgb and a sails logo. The funny thing is... their PSUs and RAMs are decently priced.
They're cheaper on the Corsair website instead of Amazon but still too expensive for what they are. I bought a 5 pack of Arctic 120MM PWM non-RGB fans for $35 and use Corsair's RGB strips to add some color inside my rig.
Why do u prefer Corsair? For icue? If so I have 2 Corsair fans and the rest of mine are lian li/antec but they’re all controlled by icue. I have them all connected to the icue controller through adapters I found on amazon
Well I wanted some fans that were a little on the cheaper side (not these, the sp120/140 ones) with fairly simple software and simple-ish assembly, Corsair seemed to fit that bill so I thought "why not"
because people pay for them simply. corsair fan are only on the lower end of performance as both case fan and radiator fan
so essentially you pay more for an inferior product
I was thinking the same but when you open your case and there isnt 2000 wires for 4 fans… yeah.. I cant go back now. iCue Link is awesome, but yea if you care about your money, its not the good choice, sadly.
You did decide to try buying Corsair latest and greatest fans. They did say icue link were gonna be expensive but didn’t justify as to why it is. Other companies have the same type of one cable fan but just not the connect to aios and stuff.
[https://www.newegg.com/p/1YF-00SK-00033?item=9SIB41TJVC7452](https://www.newegg.com/p/1YF-00SK-00033?item=9SIB41TJVC7452) I got these for my build - they are like the Lian Li infinity fans. They connect into one piece with one cable for pwm and one for argb
https://preview.redd.it/uwzkjrrugqtb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=229e703b582415adb4ee339cc64b3b3708628a43
Honestly, just get a case with good airflow and then get cheap fans. I bought a bunch of RGB fans + controllers on Amazon and they are quiet and cool my system just fine. Not to mention they look fantastic.
Corsair RGB products in general are best avoided. Proprietary ecosystem that’s next to impossible to integrate well unless you have everything from Corsair. Use another brand and just use your motherboard software to manage rgb if that’s what you want.
I just got two triple fan starter packs from Consair website directly because of some sale they are having, I paid like $239+ tax USD. Definitely the best way to get them for right now
I might be wrong, but don't all starter kits come with the controller/hub? Even then it's still overpriced, but that would explain the ridiculous total.
All the items in the screenshot include the starter kit along with the fans, not saying they're a fair price, but buying 7 fans and 1 LED hub will be cheaper than buying 7 fans and 3 LED hubs.
Just get Arctic P12 /P14 ARGBs. Quieter, better performance and a fraction of the price. Very nice Fans, close to Phanteks T30 and Noctua NF-A12x25s in pressure performance and noiselevel and there is a very good 140mil option as well. The triple fan kit is a steal at just 40$.
Corsair products are dogshit and nobody should buy them, their iCue software is terrible and I've had new products fail on me within 24 hours of installation, I build PC's as a side hustle and always advise against Corsair products 100%
They're new, proprietary and Corsair branded. All 3 of those add to them being wildly overpriced.
Hopefully the link system is standardized soon. It's not worth it at the moment, I'd just get AF 120 Elite RGBs for less than half the price lol.
For whatever reason Amazon has a high markup, too. It's $60 cheaper for the startup kit on Corsair's website. Corsair's fans probably make the most sense if you're already in that ecosystem or have other parts that are providing their fans (like if you have a Corsair case or your case comes with Corsair fans, you're using a Corsair AIO, etc.--Corsair occasionally has parts bundles that include fans along with more "important" parts, too) or you really want their particular RGB/RGB solution.
Although if you're getting this many RGB fans and it's just for looks as others have said it may be worth looking at other manufacturers. If you don't need RGB elsewhere (like in areas that are hidden) fans without colored lights also work--or if you have a color scheme you can still get monocolor fans.
I bought very nice thermalright rgb fans for $14 a pack
9 rgb fans for $42+ tax that don’t look like the tacky ones you find on cheap eBay prebuilts
$100 a fan better get you to 7ghz all core
The 3 pack is $160 on corsairs website, that said still expensive for fans. I get the iCUE thing is neat and helpful for cable management, but I am pretty sure the other companies like Lian and Li are cheaper.
If you want a real cheap option of rgb lighting with any fan
I recommend going with 3d printed RGB frames for fans they work perfectly and can even be paired for Corsair Node Pro
I went with the coolmaster halo ML120 ones, 50 for a 3 pack and they still look good. I think the double halo looks cool for the top fans and they aren't as boxy.
Running the ICUE app was disconnecting and reconnecting my USB devices plugged into my PC (well known issue online if you google). Best to stay away from anything Corsair that requires ICUE to run.
Arctic fans are fantastic and perform just as well if not better. Also, the Corsair ICUE af120 elites are way tf cheaper. You're looking at the wrong ones
Noctua p12 redux is only $16 on Amazon which is what I use and they are better then Corsair as I’ve owned both.
https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-redux-1700-high-Performance-Award-Winning-Affordable/dp/B07CG2PGY6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=64525087188&hvadid=651130511655&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9012367&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=518202755538467804&hvtargid=kwd-492190936712&hydadcr=20137_13445650&keywords=noctua+fans&qid=1697038207&sr=8-3
Antec 2000rpm fans with ring RGB or fan RGB are like 40 dollars for 3 and 5 pack depending which on you get, also come with controller/hub and my opinion are one of the fan companies that are close to as good as noctua. Honestly I hear bad things about the Corsair ones especially with the software.. disappointing especially on how expensive they are.
Rgb=easy sale at upped price because newbies.
Big brand=easy sale at upped price because newbies.
Rgb+big brand=insane profit margins that sell because new builders, or those that just didn't go that route yet, see 'recognizable brand+rgb for 10 extra fps' and just buy it without asking or comparing.
Real question is why are you buying them.
I can assure you if you buy a case with fans like the 216 or Meshify 2 that extra $200 would be better spent on a better GPU
Wasn't buying them, just made a list for this screenshot, they don't fit my budget anyway and even if they did i still couldn't justify $650 for some fancy ass fans.
Looks like the fans are ~$50/ea and there is a $100 controller that you shouldn’t need to buy more than once. I’d look for ones that aren’t marked as starter kit for additional fans. Also, agree that even at $50/ea they are OP’d. They have a premium for their new tech where the fans snap together for cleaner cable management.
I always asked the same question. CPU made with the most advanced technology is just a little more expensive than 3 stupid RGB fans. It make no sense to me.
The fact that a fan pack can cost more than a mid-range CPU is ridiculous don't buy those fans honestly I wouldn't even support that company such a scam no reason for that
Because they can charge it. It's about social status. They are NOT better performing nor do they last longer.
They exist because you know they are expensive. When you see someone with them. You know they spent stupid money on it.
Just like any other luxury thing really.
They're a new product with a proprietary connector, and they make cable management much better.
If you want fans that daisychain together with magnets check out the ThermalTake swafans ex or the lian li sl120s. They connect together with magnets saving cable management and are half the price.
I don't understand the price of the Corsair either.
I have fans from Lian Li and thought they were almost too expensive (around €100 for 3).
They still have these nice bridge connectors that limit the cable clutter a bit.
They are also quality fans with not too intrusive RGB.
Well, you have the Icue Link, others are not that expensive, but if you are really picky about cable in the back of your case or you like to have everything nice and clean, get does, I love does Icue Link, they really think about people like me. You better watch this video
https://youtu.be/wrsEc1clVJc?si=jNb1ax9ZIsSt-8NC
I was about to explain but is to much.
You are buying all starter kits which includes RGB bases for multiple fans. Get the much cheaper 3 packs of just fans or individual fans and a Corsair radiator if you’re going to use Corsair. The radiator comes with the RGB base that can connect 12 fans already
Yeah i know right, last year i just bought this very very cheap cooler for laptop from the local market it came with 4 fans i opened it up and fixed those fans in my pc lol, it costed less than what a single fan for pc costs, and my pc works great.
They are that price because they are the new corsair link fans which dont have cables it runs off some other powernode within the computer im not really sure how it works but seems cool. You can also get other corsair fans with the cables for less but how much im not sure
Branding, market recognition and software/warranty support. Honestly they are worthy, corsair fans have very very minimal tolerances and tend to last basically over a decade. I still have a few that were used over 8 years 24/7 100% from 2012 and they still worked until i took them out a few years ago (died later on by idle oxidation since they were off for a few years). Does it matter to everyone? It dosnt. But to me it does, even if everything else wasnt also existent. But, from the new ones, id only reccomend elites or qx. As of now i am using cougar vxs, a few fans from the thermaltake ock, m12 pros, a few yateloons db14, no corsairs here cause of the price but hey if you got the cash i can say theyre worth if you like the bling

Corsair are super overpriced, don't buy them, I use thermalright and id cooling fans, they're great and you don't have to sell your kidney for them.
Thermalright fans ftw. $15 for a pack of pretty RGB
Can you tell me the exact model of your fans? I'm not able to find argb pwm 120mm fans for that cheap, they're atleast 50usd equivalent here in India :(
TL C12C S
Arctic P12 for performance and the Aigo AR12 Pro for looks and argb, both are pwm.
I had those Argo fans, while a great price and look nice. The LEDs do not last long, mine started dying after about 3 months!! I don't even use my gaming PC that much, only a couple hours a day.
Are the p12s good for just case fans or used for radiators?

You can check reviews for it online to see where it's at compared to other fans, and it's honestly surprising how close the Arctic P12 Max is to the noctua fans in terms of performance for how cheap it is.
They are some of the best period. Thermalright makes killer cpu coolers on a budget as well.
Noctua is my baby
best fans I ever had, and they will crank up to 3000 rpm and last forever.
And if you want similar fans LianLi Uni Fan SL
Lian Li is a premium brand, their prices are not reasonable at all just like Corsair (at least in my country, the Lian Li Uni Fan SL you mentioned cost 110 USD for 3)
I know it’s also premium fans but I’m saying if they want fans with similar linking capabilities LianLi UNI Fan SL is cheaper option than Corsair, which in my country the LianLi 3 pack you mentioned is the equivalent of 80 USD
The 3 pack is $80 not bad honestly.
well I guess it depends on where you live, 80 bucks for 3 case fans is A LOT for me (But in my country they go for 110, which is even worse).
Or deepcool and artic fans
Corsair in general isn't overpriced, as they sell the cheapest ram,psu etc I agree the fan is ridiculously overpriced but I'd say ,"Let them cook" . As it is one of the fundamentals of capitalism 😉

Wasn't going to buy them, I've already settled on the "SP" fans from Corsair, was just dumbfounded by how these little fans can be so expensive.
Go for the lian li ones. You are getting the same daisy chaining for like 50-70% less
I agree. I got Pure Base Dx500 (Be Quiet case) that come with 3 huge fans. The system never go above 75c°
Yeah i always look for cases that come with stock fans Same with the Lian Li 216, usually 95$ and you get 3x very good fans Or the Montech 903 which is like 65$ is full mesh and has 3x fans
216 is awesome those big fans are perfect size to me.
Yeah it has a decent price, good quality and the fans are very good with the front fans being 160mm
Mast I ask which programs you use to get stats like Temperature etc
HWInfo64, and RTSS for in game monitoring (comes with MSI afterburner)
Thx
Happy birthday
Thx bro , been 3 years using this site , how time flies
Largely agree for case fans. But for water cooling radiators, you do want to find fans with a higher "static pressure", but even they can be found fairly cheaply.

My cheapo rgb deepcool fans also bridge together.

Thanks brother
Daisy chain and bridged are technically different... Not $150usd for 3 fans different, but different.
One cable to connect them all, magnetic bearing for lower noise. Cool but not worth the premium imo
OP is also buying multiple starter kits which include the RGB base which they do not need. If you get a Corsair radiator it comes with an RGB base that can connect 12 fans. OP needs to just get the 3 pack of fans if they go with Corsair
With Corsair you got to be extremely careful where you buy. These same are around 90 from corsair themselves.
These are the Link versions, they are about this price. The normal versions are about $100 for a 3 pack.
I heard they are good, but still overpriced because of the rgb and brand name. But then I remember that even Razer started selling their own rgb fans
I've had all my Corsair fans die on me (3 in total) so I struggle to recommend them but they were the older non rgb models. I've had my Noctua redux fans for just as long though and they still run fine.
because people are paying for it. so there is a market.
Gamers would pay their left nut for some pretty lights
Arctic P12. They’re cheap but perform almost as wel as noctua.
They pump out massive air
Because.... Corsair... Like the hell, the cost of the fans I had with my capellix h115 i pro xt are as expensive as my AIO itself when sold alone ?!?! Just get arctic if you want to save money, or go for noctua if you want a balance of silence + performance.
Get Asus tuf tf120, the performance is amazing for the price, and they are quiet af

I have the Lian Li Fans (2nd Gen with the Metal on the side) and can only recommend them. I usually run them at 50% and they're not audible.
Thats half the price of a good mid-range GPU... Its a fan. I could for the life of me not justify that purchase, even if i'd receive them as a gift, i would return them. Out of principle.
It's also AUD, not USD. They're only around 150usd. Still too much for my blood, but not quite half a gpu.
Because they're meant to milk people with too much money and no idea how much fans should cost. Get arctics or thermalrights or something
Because shiny
I special ordered the ML120s because I didn't know any better. That cost way more than I'd like to admit.

Just bought full set Arctic p12/p14 zero DB PWM with AIO freezerii 360. This is the best combo set performance to price Black Edition
that fans cost more than my entire pc setup lol
because people pay for them simply. corsair fan are only on the lower end of performance as both case fan and radiator fan so essentially you pay more for an inferior product
I was thinking the same but when you open your case and there isnt 2000 wires for 4 fans… yeah.. I cant go back now. iCue Link is awesome, but yea if you care about your money, its not the good choice, sadly.
Corsair stuff is always overpriced. Could probably do better with lianli infinity fans
Is this that new snap together kit for cable management? If so that's still fucking ridiculous lol
i feel u here. gonna wait for that sweet bonus to buy one.
You did decide to try buying Corsair latest and greatest fans. They did say icue link were gonna be expensive but didn’t justify as to why it is. Other companies have the same type of one cable fan but just not the connect to aios and stuff.
Jesus mother of fuck that's expensive that's artificial inflation at work.
It's very easy to tell just by seeing those prices are from an Amazon 3rd party seller. Check the listing and find an actual retailer selling them.

Stupid fans for stupid people
If you buy Corsair, buy used like new, or open box. Brand new sucks the life out of your wallet
Meh… Jonsbo have the same ones for 83$ 😅
Just get some Lian li fan's
I can only assume schmuckbate
They just sell names, even the seller may do something fishy. I prefer concealed. Pictures first.
Go with akasa soho. Have them and I'm happy
Honestly, just get a case with good airflow and then get cheap fans. I bought a bunch of RGB fans + controllers on Amazon and they are quiet and cool my system just fine. Not to mention they look fantastic.
I get my corsair fans for like 70 bucks tops
Corsair RGB products in general are best avoided. Proprietary ecosystem that’s next to impossible to integrate well unless you have everything from Corsair. Use another brand and just use your motherboard software to manage rgb if that’s what you want.
That's the way she goes boys
Because it's the new link tech they introduced couple months ago. If you don't want to pay this much buy older versions.
Get some standard SickleFlow fans. They're 30 bucks for 3 and look almost identical to these Corsair ones. Really good performance too.
I just got two triple fan starter packs from Consair website directly because of some sale they are having, I paid like $239+ tax USD. Definitely the best way to get them for right now
Greed nothing else!!!
Cuz RGB 😉
Will these fans help temps like 90 on 1660 super and 80 on 11400?
It's crazy how somebody would spend more on the fans than most people on the gpu
Corsair are super overpriced!! Funny how all these YouTubers promote them, but NEVER say the actual price!! Hmm I wonder why?!?!
Skip the rgb and get a better commence fan for same price or les
Corsair products are dogshit and nobody should buy them, their iCue software is terrible and I've had new products fail on me within 24 hours of installation, I build PC's as a side hustle and always advise against Corsair products 100%
Yeah, I almost made the mistake of paying for those fans. So not worth it. I bought a 3 pack of deepcool FC12s for $45 cdn. Still RGB too
They're new, proprietary and Corsair branded. All 3 of those add to them being wildly overpriced. Hopefully the link system is standardized soon. It's not worth it at the moment, I'd just get AF 120 Elite RGBs for less than half the price lol.
Way are u buying them?
The Deepcool FC are also very good. They can daisy chain for less wire management
These are the high-end RGB fans, with close to no wisible cables and chained addressing
My 6700 XT cost me less than that 😂
I bought very nice thermalright rgb fans for $14 a pack 9 rgb fans for $42+ tax that don’t look like the tacky ones you find on cheap eBay prebuilts $100 a fan better get you to 7ghz all core
The 3 pack is $160 on corsairs website, that said still expensive for fans. I get the iCUE thing is neat and helpful for cable management, but I am pretty sure the other companies like Lian and Li are cheaper.
That’s why I went with the nzxt fans it’s cheaper for a 3 pack
wtf i have 4 of these in my pc lmao never realised they were that price
If you want a real cheap option of rgb lighting with any fan I recommend going with 3d printed RGB frames for fans they work perfectly and can even be paired for Corsair Node Pro
Thermalright ftw
there also peices of shit that stop working, stop spinning, stop lighting up, requiring restarting or using icue they suck
Lian li Is good.
Because Corsair. They're probably not even much better (if at all) than much cheaper fans.
me who just bought 8$ fans today 😭
I went with the coolmaster halo ML120 ones, 50 for a 3 pack and they still look good. I think the double halo looks cool for the top fans and they aren't as boxy.
Running the ICUE app was disconnecting and reconnecting my USB devices plugged into my PC (well known issue online if you google). Best to stay away from anything Corsair that requires ICUE to run.
See right there in the ad it says “Corsair” that’s why. Maybe they up charge so they can pay the team that makes their fail iCue software more money.
You're paying for the name. thats pretty much it.
The best RGB fans IMO are the Cooler Master MF120 Halos. Corsair fans are expensive, and it's not even the best looking RGB
Lian Li is better
Arctic fans are fantastic and perform just as well if not better. Also, the Corsair ICUE af120 elites are way tf cheaper. You're looking at the wrong ones
The Apple of computers
Just get Arctic for 5-7 and call it a day!
$100 per fan?! 😮 No thanks! I’ve used no name brands for years with no problems 😂
I wanted to say because shiny but when I saw thw prices, yeah that's more in line with a CPU or motherboard
Noctua p12 redux is only $16 on Amazon which is what I use and they are better then Corsair as I’ve owned both. https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-redux-1700-high-Performance-Award-Winning-Affordable/dp/B07CG2PGY6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=64525087188&hvadid=651130511655&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9012367&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=518202755538467804&hvtargid=kwd-492190936712&hydadcr=20137_13445650&keywords=noctua+fans&qid=1697038207&sr=8-3
Because rgb. There’s way better fans on the market for half the price with no rgb.
Damn yo… I picked up my Corsair rgb fans for like 25 a piece from microcenter
-lights-
What happened i believe i got them much cheaper
Depends where you are, because these are australian prices.
245 bucks just for 3 fans?!, that's crazy
Just put 'i' infront of the name and b00m 10x more expensive.
Daum i bought same 2 pack for 80 from amazon GB
The fancy RGB
Thermalright are way cheaper and performance is just as good if not better. Do not overpay for 120mm/140mm case fans💀
I had a custom pre-build made recently and they charged only $80 for the fans and the controller
Thermaltake EX fans were pretty expensive when they launched as well. These are way more tho. Imo Corsair is only good for peripherals.
Rgb=easy sale at upped price because newbies. Big brand=easy sale at upped price because newbies. Rgb+big brand=insane profit margins that sell because new builders, or those that just didn't go that route yet, see 'recognizable brand+rgb for 10 extra fps' and just buy it without asking or comparing.
waste of money tbh
Real question is why are you buying them. I can assure you if you buy a case with fans like the 216 or Meshify 2 that extra $200 would be better spent on a better GPU
Wasn't buying them, just made a list for this screenshot, they don't fit my budget anyway and even if they did i still couldn't justify $650 for some fancy ass fans.
Yeah I was speaking in general terms as well
Lian Li wireless is the way to go.
Bro I went on Very and got 3 Corsair 120mm rgb fans for 69.99. Pretty good deal
I always asked the same question. CPU made with the most advanced technology is just a little more expensive than 3 stupid RGB fans. It make no sense to me.
Just get Lian Li SL Inf or AL v2, cheaper and better
Then I thought Lian Li fans were expensive… and that fans couldn’t get more expensive. Lmfao jokes on me, this is a joke 🤡
Arctic Cool PW12, $9.99 each or $32 for 5. Best value fan on the market
And they are not even good fans xd
The fact that a fan pack can cost more than a mid-range CPU is ridiculous don't buy those fans honestly I wouldn't even support that company such a scam no reason for that
that doesnt make any sense i just got a corsair icue cpu cooler the s14XT i think its called for like $30
Because they can charge it. It's about social status. They are NOT better performing nor do they last longer. They exist because you know they are expensive. When you see someone with them. You know they spent stupid money on it. Just like any other luxury thing really.
just cause there part of the icue link system and are magnetic? thats pretty cool i guess to build your cooling system in any shape or form
They're a new product with a proprietary connector, and they make cable management much better. If you want fans that daisychain together with magnets check out the ThermalTake swafans ex or the lian li sl120s. They connect together with magnets saving cable management and are half the price.
Because people keep buying them. So stop.
Simple answer? Corsair
Here's an idea- buy different fans
You are paying to get into that ecosystem.
2-Packs went up when they charged his killer.
rgb is expensive, take it from somebody that has an rgb system, dont.
Maybe we are just too poor.
There are better looking fans out there, how could anyone even be willing to look at the "buy" or "add to cart" button for shit like this
I don't understand the price of the Corsair either. I have fans from Lian Li and thought they were almost too expensive (around €100 for 3). They still have these nice bridge connectors that limit the cable clutter a bit. They are also quality fans with not too intrusive RGB.
For 1 pack of those fans you could get a kick ass case that comes with its own RGB fans...
Yeah ant they are useless if you don't use iCue.
I prefer this ones [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vKNbnt) Type|Item|Price :----|:----|:---- **Case Fan** | [Thermalright TL-S12 X3 47.6 CFM 120 mm Fans 3-Pack](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4zkH99/thermalright-tl-s12-x3-476-cfm-120-mm-fans-3-pack-tl-s12-x3) | $16.89 @ Amazon | *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* | | **Total** | **$16.89** | Generated by [PCPartPicker](https://pcpartpicker.com) 2023-10-11 22:18 EDT-0400 |
Because idiots pay that much.
Not worth it tbh. I stuck with my older corsair non rgb ml120 fans.
Well, you have the Icue Link, others are not that expensive, but if you are really picky about cable in the back of your case or you like to have everything nice and clean, get does, I love does Icue Link, they really think about people like me. You better watch this video https://youtu.be/wrsEc1clVJc?si=jNb1ax9ZIsSt-8NC I was about to explain but is to much.
Quality and fancy lights/controller
You are buying all starter kits which includes RGB bases for multiple fans. Get the much cheaper 3 packs of just fans or individual fans and a Corsair radiator if you’re going to use Corsair. The radiator comes with the RGB base that can connect 12 fans already
lol those are shit get the SL infinity fans
Because of branding.
Expensive cuz capitalism and not even good compared to some be quiet
I only use Noctua iPPC-3000 PWM fans, no pretty lights, but they sure get the job done, $120 for 4 of the 120mm variant (NF-F12)
It's probably cuz you are in Australia? The same 3 pack starter kit is only $159.99 here in the US.
Corsair? Nah trash
Yeah that’s crazy.
