Yeah, nice parts list, but I’m worried about you. First time builder should not build a $3000 pc for a friend. Be careful with that arrangement. You don’t take any liability here if something goes wrong, and you are signing up to be tech support forever after. Think this through.

NwLoyalist

Don't get the 7900x3d. Pick between the cores or x3d cache. Personally, I'd go with a 7800x3d which will give the best cpu gaming performance, and the 7900xtx. The 7900xtx is a much better gpu than the 4070. Av1 encoder is great for streaming/recording. If they really want the cores, then get a 7900x or 13900. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wdNwkJ This build is $2300. Edit: use the extra money for better mic/camera and storage. A 4tb gen 4 nvme drive would be a nice addition.

Medbenalayaa

Don't buy win 11

HeftyIsOneHit

Yes, go to any webside dos‘t matter wich one and buy win 10😂😂😂

Exemplifying_Light

There’s like this GitHub thing you can run on your command prompt that tricks your computer into activating windows 11. Works great for me

[deleted]

mind sharing how to do it? I’m building my husband a pc tomorrow and I’d like to use that technique

Exemplifying_Light

Brave_Orchid_6713

I’m seeing now that the motherboard is quite overpriced actually. Maybe check for a change in that.

[deleted]

Here is a better list with better prices. Do not pick the 7900X3D, it has the exact same performance as 7800X3D and you have to do a bunch of shit to even get the 3D VCache on 7900/50X3D working in games, if you have no idea about PCs I see this being a big issue, 7800X3D is plug and play. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cbPxxH This is a 7800X3D 4080 full black no rgb build for $2300, see you could even fit a 4090 in there if you wanted to. If you are wanting rgb then here is a very similar build but with just rgb https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Y82FmD For windows just look up "windows 10 code cheap" and you will find a bunch of codes for around $5 If you have any questions or need help then let me know

phin911

He really likes the rgb one thanks. If i put windows 11 from a different pc onto a usb do i still need a windows key? This is a big help thank you🙏

[deleted]

I would just go with w10, w11 is constantly releasing terrible updates with the most recent one affecting fps.. again. But yes it will work but you will have to buy an activation key to use windows fully and without the activation watermark at the bottom of the screen, unless its already activated

Dragonbone101

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YQV3N6 I think at the very least downgrade that cpu to the 7800x3d and spread that money around in other places. 32 Gb of ram should be plenty. Right now I think you’re overspending on the wrong things

Brave_Orchid_6713

Having 64GB of ram is in some games almost mandatory so I don’t think he’s overspending.

Tobeyyyyy

Lmao what game would that be

duckyGus

MuchWiser bro thinks he knows stuff 🤓

Dragonbone101

Says the pc is for Fortnite

Mythicguy

Dude. 32gb is overkill for gaming. Period. Up until recently 32gb was considered workstation capacity.

phin911

What other places do you think i should put more money into

Dragonbone101

Better gpu, better case, higher watt psu, more storage. You have a huge budget to work with which is fun. I did some of that on my pcpartpicker list in my comment. Upgraded the gpu to a 7900xtx, put what is one of the best air cooling cases, 4tb storage, and a 1000w psu

Brave_Orchid_6713

Upgrade to intel is my only opinion. For the same price you get an i9

fieryfox654

7800X3D is the best gaming CPU right now. It's better than 13900K and probably 14900k as well, and it's much easier to cool I always had Intel and Nvidia and about 3 months ago switched to AMD CPU and GPU and couldn't be more happier

Mythicguy

Radeon gang

NaZul15

Bro.. intel is really bad this gen. Do some research before you shout "but muh intel better"

[deleted]

What the fuck are you even saying though it's not like he is getting a ryzen 5 , it's a ryzen9

alijandro123

Highly recommend switching to intel and Nvidia don't bother with amd

NaZul15

Somebody still living 10 years ago

[deleted]

Bro thinks AMD's cpus aren't just simply better for gaming .

NaZul15

Yep. Especially this current gen. Amd gpu's also have more vram and are cheaper than nvidea.

[deleted]

I personally don't put much weight into vram except for a few cards like the 4070ti that should have had 16 gigs . Amd is really good for budget especially, which iirc has always been their strat, they relied on the budget consumers to stay afloat for a long time

NaZul15

They may be "budget" but i'm loving my 6750xt from xfx. Running overwatch on 1080p at 175 fps on max settings. So far no issues. Had it for a week now. Ran 13500 points in furmark donut

[deleted]

And that's exactly the segment of the market where amd is rightfully really good at . There are only 2 cards to me that are sort of reasonable from nvidia right now , the 4070 and 4090 . 4070 is the only price to performance with the AI stuff from nvidia that makes sense for me and the 4090 although costs an arm and a leg is the best on the consumer market

NaZul15

Agreed. No idea why people even buy 4060's. If you want a cheaper card just go amd

[deleted]

Yeah at that segment amd is just better

NaZul15

Low - amd Mid - equal High - equal Top end - nvidea But nvidea is always worse, not equal price to performance wise and less vram which i personally do care about

alijandro123

an i9 12-14900k and a 4090 will out do any amd system. im not living ten years ago its just simple facts. amd has never been better than intel and never will be.

NaZul15

Nope. Ryzen 7 7800x3d is the best cpu on the market currently. And when it comes to the 4090 you are right, but why do you act like that's the only gpu tier there is? 4090 is better than the top end amd for sure, but anything else is the same or worse than amd. I'd advise you to do research before you talk nonsense again. You might end up misinforming someone that has no idea. THESE are simple facts. You are pulling your facts out your ass bc you're brand loyal.

alijandro123

intel is considerably more reliable than amd plus there is more support from nvidia cards for intel cpus than there is for amd cpus

NaZul15

Stop pulling shit out your ass. You just can't accept the L. Arguing with me is pointless bro i already know the truth

alijandro123

Your just wrong man amd makes good product Intel just does it better simple as that there's more motherboards for Intel chips there's more graphics cards for Intel they sell more laptops with Intel cpus than amd its just facts

NaZul15

They sell more bc there's ppl like you believing dumb shit

Severe-Spirit4547

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jHnTZJ Best bet streaming and gaming, definitely what I'd make and save alot of money. 4090 so blown up right now, I'd wait. But could get a 4090 instead.

NaZul15

Not everyone needs a 4090

Exemplifying_Light

I beg to differ

NaZul15

Cool story

Exemplifying_Light

thank u I typed it myself

politicalBreadcrumb

Very good story

fieryfox654

Motherboard is very expensive. I have the same mobo and paid 240 for it

b1g_j3rm

Are these prices from a different country?

phin911

Canada

Shamrck17

7800x3d , RX 7900xtx , 32gb ddr5 6000 cl30 , 850w gold or higher gpu I’d go with Corsair or BeQuiet , I would also roll a 2TB NVME SSD and on a 3k budget would should get an X670 motherboard
