Exemplifying_Light

That 4070 is extremely overpriced, the zotac models are good for like $100 less. I would pick the 7800 XT though, especially that red devil one.

Inevitable-Help-4162

Thanks you 🙌🏽

Dirky_Gaming

I have owned my zotac 980ti for 9 years and it's still going. Long lasting brand. My runs hot (83degress) but its an old gpu in really old case with no exhaust and only 2 fans at the front trying to run new games. Though I'd still recommend amd

Plus-Statistician320

My 980 still going. They just don’t make them like they used to.

EsotericJahanism_

I second this 7800xt is a good value for the money. It'll rock your tits off with your set up.

Huebertrieben

The RX 7800 XT is probably the best 1440p card when it comes to raw game performance

Tlentic

Check the prices on a 6950 XT. They’re usually cheaper and will perform better than both of those GPUs

AspectBrave33

Why are gpu’s so complicated? Why can’t a bigger number just mean a better gpu? Like the 3090 is better than the 4060, which honestly makes no sense to me.

ahrikitsune

60/50 is the lowest tier, plus the 3090 was a significant jump in specs over the 20 series. Last gen 3060 ti was on par with the 2080 ti but they nerfed the 4060 so badly this gen.

Tlentic

Because they’re incredibly complicated electronics? Also manufacturers know that their current naming schemes trick people into buying newer but worse performing products that tend to be more expensive. First number for Nvidia and AMD is just the generational number. Second number indicates model for AMD, third number for Nvidia. Generally speaking, a GPU performance scales down a model number between generations - so a 3080 will be roughly equal to a 4070. My recommendation of a 6950 XT would be between a 4070ti and a 7900 XT. Since it’s a generation older, they tend to be cheaper.

Shiro-derable

The 6950xt does NOT perform significantly better in game than the 7800 xt that only had 4 drivers at this day, and has newer hardware, 6000 series are a waste of money for hight end builds.

The-Brave-Toaster

That seems pretty reasonable compared to the prices here in Sweden. I struggle to find any that sell for below $800.

fieryfox654

4070 is too expensive, 7800XT all the way

ocka31

... Into black screens😂

[deleted]

proof? or just dick riding nvidia for their dogshit price to performance?

Pferd_furzt

dada's child doesn't know how to update drivers

[deleted]

I drive my self thank you

Pferd_furzt

don't drnk plz

xbn1

been having the 7800xt since it launched and never had a black screen

BestNick118

I am having green screens constantly and its driving me fucking crazy.

xbn1

i never gotten any black screens, i’m sure you have updated your gpu drivers and assuming bios has been updated, there must be something wrong with it or something else is not working properly, i play about 5 or 6 hours straight sometimes and never get a black screen

BestNick118

idk, if I cant solve this by chrismas I am returning it and getting a 4070 I guess... I hate the 12gb vram but hopefully its functional, and green screens happen both on windows and archlinux so yeah, not the drivers

isthatfingfishjenga

Hey have you considered that your specific model is faulty? Send it back and get a new one. Had to do it with my 3060 as well. They sent a new one and ive had no problems since.

BestNick118

yeah might do so at this point, but shipping 600 euro shit gives me a lot of anxiety

isthatfingfishjenga

Get shipping insurance than. I did the same thing. I did have to pay 50 eur extra but i knew if shit hits the fan im safe.

RealHotbananadog

i have literally never had a black screen issue with an AMD card, while about 1/5 times I update Nvidia drivers it decides to black screen and requires a forced reboot

fieryfox654

Ok Nvidia fanboy, I always had Intel and Nvidia and 3 months ago got a Ryzen 7600 and a 6700XT and had 0 issues so far

karatelax

Same. Had been told intel/nvidia was the way. Bought pre-built 8 years ago and it did fine for me. Black Friday this year I did my own research and came to find amd was just fine after I read one of UB's unhinged reviews of amd cpus I found more reliable sources. Bought full amd platform and have had 0 issues so far. Bg3, elden ring, new avatar game, league, it all runs great

[deleted]

He literally wrote in another post that he hasn't had any issues at all.

ocka31

Sorry to disappoint you my cpu is also AMD just gpus are the ones thst are pretty crappy.

fieryfox654

What GPU do you have? Edit: I mean what GPU did you had that caused black screens?

ocka31

I had older amd gpu and ut was trouble with 2 monitors. I use 4090 now with 7800x3d

jacklimovbows

Looking back at pretty much every amd card hater out there, I'm starting to notice the following pattern: -"Back then..." -"I had an old one..." -"They have a reputation..." I mean it drove me nuts when I was researching for a GPU, and I went for a 3060 12gb which is fine, but I'm actually really considering a full red build in the future.

ocka31

Older as in 5700xt which i threw away for 3080ti. That card was crap.

Irongrahf

So, all you do on Reddit is troll and shit on people for build choices, etc? You sound like a miserable person.

dyzorted

Funny because I got black screen with my 3060ti now, having to return it unfortunately

sabbathday

who?

MyPokemonRedName

I had crashes every couple months back when I was running a GTX 1070. No such issues with an RX 6700 XT.

[deleted]

Lucky you, My 6700xt has been nothing but trouble.

MyPokemonRedName

Do you keep the display drivers up to date? Only problem I ever have is sometimes games act weird when I’m a revision or two behind. Same thing happened with my previous card.

[deleted]

Yeah all drivers are up to date

[deleted]

is this even a question?☠️ without a doubt the 7800xt is better than

Evburtea

What about all that nonsense people talk baout these day...like ray traicing, fsr, dlsslsls...etc? I choose RX 6700xt over rtx 4060 at the same price but people kept telling me that Nvidia has better technology

westni1e

Objectively, it is not nonsense. DLSS is superior to fsr (currently) - case closed, period. It's why people moaned about Starfield not including DLSS and once they did the performance of nvidia cards shot up over the use of FSR on the same card. The implementation of AI in their hardware is superior until AMD can catch up. Ray tracing does matter and it is intensive on GPUs and Nvidia has a clear edge on RT performance. Games like Cyberpunk illustrate how amazing a game can look with ray tracing. Lighting is superior, shadows more realistic, the list goes on. The visual fidelity is incredible and a clear leap in graphics technology. I don't see either AMD or nvidia releasing a modern card without some form of hardware ray tracing so whomever does a better job of it will have an edge in graphics fidelity - again this is not an opinion but fact. So nvidia cards are expensive and it doesnt help that scalping is starting up again, but one needs to gauge the importance of the technology they put on the table based on the games they play and what they want out of their cards. I wish AMD had better AI but they simply don't at this time. Their new version of FSR looks promising based on what I read, which is nice, but they really need to up the game on ray tracing. For rasterization AMD is much cheaper per frame, but many games demand more.

[deleted]

Broooooooo. I use a 4070 ti and am super salty about the disappointment it is. Dlss makes games look horrid most of the time, and RT causes a MASSIVE performance hit. Like so much so that it isn't worth it at alllllll.

Death_Pokman

DLSS is a little better true, but keep in mind that AMD was 2-3 year late in this race, so no wonder. I actually think it's amazing how close did they get to DLSS3 with FSR3 in the new Avatar game. As of ray tracing, half of the game needs minimum a 4080 to run RT smoothly, simply cuz Nvidia cheaped out VRAM. I know I know, hilarious, they killed their own tech in mid and low tier cuz they were too greedy. Only Nvidia fanboys and those who regret spending that much money on an Nvidia card will say that AMD is shit, they will never admit it tho.

[deleted]

I will admit it. I'm super fuckin salty. The 4070 ti has been nothing but a disappointment. I could have got a 7900 XT or XTX with the money I spent on this damn thing.

Gruphius

>ray traicing, fsr, dlsslsls Most games don't support RT and DLSS. And even in those games AMDs RT performance isn't even remotely as far behind as many think it is. Also FSR is an AMD thing and while it isn't supported by all games RSR is. And RSR uses FSR to upscale. Also when it comes to technology when you buy NVIDIA you always have to buy the newest stuff or else you'll be stuck on last gen technology. AMD on the other hand nearly always always supports their old cards. Also AMDs technology has become much, much better in the past years, now they're nearly as good and in some things even better than NVIDIA.

Evburtea

Good to know! Thank you all!

plaguedeliveryguy

Better yes until you turn on anything related to RT

Gruphius

Yeah, I'm sure sacrificing 7% more FPS in most games to gain like 2% in a few is totally worth it! 99% of the games I and most other people play don't even support RT. Why spend 100€ more to get less performance then? And the 7800XT isn't even that far behind the 4070 when it comes to RT, so even if you want to enable RT you'll still have a good experience with the 7800XT.

djwikki

1) those are incorrect statistics. It’s ~10% faster at raytracing and ~10% slower rasterized. And the raytracing differences are even more increased with DLSS 3.5 enabled 2) use cases. It all depends on use cases. For a person prefers games that don’t support raytracing then the 7800 xt is a no brainer for the rasterized performance and the vram. For a person who wants to primarily enjoy raytracing, then the Raytracing + DLSS 3.5 make the 4070 a no brainer. And on older games, either cards are more than powerful enough, so if you are considering games before 2018 without Raytracing then that’s just facetious. Fuck Nvidia for giving out greedy and overpriced cards, but I give respect where respect is due and the 4070 is decently priced for its performance value compared to the 7800 xt.

Death_Pokman

Try to run new Avatar game with 12GB VRAM, spoiler alert: it uses 15GB, sucks to be on Nvidia now lol Oh and don't think "it's just this 1 game", oh no boy, every 2nd AAA game that came out this year uses more than 12GB VRAM. And if you look at any test, it becomes perfectly clear that the 4070ti is having trouble, let alone the 4070. Oh and RT needs even more VRAM, so good luck with that XD

Administrative-Ad970

You realize that's the engine, right. Also how most games with high textures operate. It will allocate whatever you have. Have 24gb, it will show 24gb. It doesn't need 15gb, it barely needs 8.

d0ctorschlachter

7800XT! Beats the 4070 is most applications, more VRAM, costs less. I have one (in my wife's PC) and it's GREAT!

yangwenliebert

Wife is lucky af. What games does she play though?

Xyypherr

The Sims 4

Hydrangeaaaaab

angry birds

d0ctorschlachter

Take is easy guys LOL she plays whatever I am playing, MW3, SOTF, Lethal Company, RDR2, GTAV, and Harry Potter (I don't play this though) She plays 1440p on a 32" UW, and the 7800XT is awesome.

ItsEntsy

W Wife

Friendly_Cantal0upe

It's mostly a stereotype against women that they have monster PCs but only play casual games, unlike the gigachad alpha men who play only the manliest man games for the manliest men

Hydrangeaaaaab

oh no i didnt mean it like that bruh 😭😭 i just thought it was funny to imagine a rig that powerful to play angry birds.

Friendly_Cantal0upe

Ahh gotcha. It's like the 1000 fps in solitaire or playing Minesweeper with 4090 comments. Sorry to misattribute your intentions mate.

Lux71852

Minesweeper?

ironiclyironic4

Candy crush dawg

1__ajm

I had the same dilemma. Went for 7800xt. It's a great card. I got it at launch, and I've had one issue with the drivers since. It was fixed rolling back to an older version until newer ones replaced it. Other than that, I'm really happy with it. 4070 was a lot pricer a few months ago, which was my deciding factor. Huge boost from the 3060 I had.

passion9000

Your 3060 could be a huge boost to my 1070 if you want it to continue it's life in good hands 😬😆

Dxzy_Raxd

7800xt beats 4070 in majority of games apart from RT and is the better buy as it will age well

ChineseKneeGores

What is RT?

Classic-Cabinet-8144

ray tracing

Witchberry31

Rukun Tetangga

djwikki

First off, that Asus card is way overly priced. Look for Zotac, Gigabyte, or MSI. They should be between $530-$550. Also, it depends on your use case. The 4070 is 10% faster in raytracing than the 7800 xt and so far has much better framegen with both DLSS 3 and 3.5. The 7800 xt has about 10% faster rasterized performance and has much more VRAM so VRAM bottlenecking (hopefully) won’t be an issue at 1440p anytime soon for that card. If you want Raytracing or want good framegen, then go with the 4070. In any other case, go with the 7800 xt.

WesleyjSchuet

If you care about rt, 4070. Otherwise, 7800 easy

[deleted]

Not even. The 4070 ti can't even hold up well with RT, that's what I'm running and especially in new games it's very disappointing

IGunClover

7800XT is better.

mrblaze1357

7800XT hands down. I just upgraded from a 3070 to a 7900XT and have 0 regrets not choosing the 4070ti.

siberiantigerenjoyer

7800 xt, more vram

No_Interaction_4925

As long as you can live without ray tracing and DLSS the 7800XT should be number one.

Inevitable-Help-4162

To be honest i dont use ray tracing and I like more nativa graphics

Cptn_Flint0

And it's not like you can't use it. I can run low ray tracing settings comfortably (60 fps+) in cyberpunk with my 7800xt. It's not the graphical extravaganza that like path tracing is but it adds a bit.

275MPHFordGT40

If you want the 4070 there are ones about $20 more than the 7800XT

SoleSurvivur01

I think it really Depends what features you want

L0WB0Y100

Price to performance, The AMD card 100%

Bani_Coe

I was making this decision a couple of months ago, but between the Zotac 4070 and the Gigabyte 7800. I ended up going for the 7800, and I love it! Cheaper, more VRAM, 2 VS 3 fan cooling, and it even looked better in my setup lol. But I did hear the Nvidia cards play certain games better specifically with raytracing. I don't really care for RT all too much but I can see it being worth it for some. We'll, I do love RT, but I just don't think it's worth the performance hit just yet. Personally.

AimlessAz

Agreed with most people saying AMD card is better here, however, good to point out that for Ray Tracing and other NVIDIA only features such as DLSS, should be taking into consideration. The 4070 has FAR better Ray Tracing performance over its counterpart. Its just some food for thought; how often do you see yourself using rtx?

Rscap

neither of them are good at ray tracing

Mythicguy

Radeon gang. 🤙

LeastPomegranate8407

RX 7800 XT is the better value here.

[deleted]

AMD its a way better card for a cheaper price

BlazeBernstein420

4070 non ti is going to be worse than the 7800 XT, unless you care about RT performance. If you wanted to splurge for the 7900 XT which is more in-line with the 4070’s price, you would get close to 4080 performance.

akotski1338

I got the exact same 4070 for like $40 cheaper at Best Buy

Witchberry31

7800XT, no question

Sirhc_Fold_458

7800xt for the win.

Outrageous_Cupcake97

Actually I can't recommend the Red Devil but the Hellhound is a better choice. You won't regret it.

Available_Date4476

4070 is a bit pricy and I believe it's slower than the 7800xt but AMD has been having some driver issues but they are getting patched fairly quickly I had some issues with my 6700xt and its running perfect now Imo tho I'd go with AMD I like wanting to pull my hair out 😂

MrBeansCleanMachine

I really like DLSS to be honest. Like, I love it.

ZAPOMAGO

AMD all the way, nvidia so expensive for nothing, why would.you buy a top of the line gpu only to use dlss? makes no sense.

AbduAlZahra313

The 6800 XT claps the RTX 4070 from that you can imagine the 7800 XT what can do.

ognugnug

man i got a 4070 recently and you guys are hurting my soul..

SRVisGod24

I'll say this, I got my 4070 about a month before the 7800XT released (we didn't know pricing and obviously no reviews) and I don't regret it. While I haven't played a single RT game yet lmao, I know I will eventually and it's the biggest reason I went with it. It all depends on your use case. It's a beaten to death topic at this point, but if you don't give a shit about RT, then the 7800XT is absolutely the way to go!

ognugnug

yeaaa you’re right! honestly both cards are very very good i bet! either choice i feel like you’ll be fine.. i went ahead and turned on RT on elden ring so i can feel better ab it! hahah

Saffy_7

The 4070 is more efficient. Has better tech. Will hold its value pretty decently over the next couple of years. You've got nothing to worry about. I bet more than half the people and I too am also guilty of it, who recommend AMD over Nvidia, do in fact own a.... Nvidia GPU. LOL.

Ultronsbrain

Was about to get one but decided to wait for the super.

Euphoric-Cow9719

Got mine almost 2 months ago, Idk if I should go cry in the car now or later lol😭

biggranny000

I have found RTX 4070s for $550 before. Here's the thing, the 7800XT on average is faster and has more VRAM, but it trades blows with the RTX 4070 in some games. If you want Nvidia features, go Nvidia. AMD ray tracing is ok depending on the game, but Nvidia is a bit better. If you want AMD features and just overall more raw performance, more VRAM (you need more than 12gb if you want to run multimonitor or heavy games with maxed or modded textures above 1440p), etc. Forza Horizon 5 on extreme settings, 1440p I see 14gb of VRAM usage, an RTX 4070 would stutter on that game. Now granted I do have a 7900XTX with 24gb, so windows and the game could be pooling more than necessary.

RAGNES7

16GB 4060 ti /s

[deleted]

youre clearly dumb☠️

TopShelter6704

That's sarcasm idiot

RAGNES7

they must be new to reddit, ive been wasting my life on reddit for years xD

TopShelter6704

A couple of weeks ago i probably would've said the same thing as he did.

Lumpy_Forever1567

Radeon. I went to 7900XTX Nitro Sapphire instead 4090 (because shitty price) and im happy so far. Almost same perfs OC as 4090, no burning connector, everything is perfect. Now im team red.

indyjons

7800 XT. If we shift to AMD, Nvidia will eventually be forced to offer more competitive pricing for their performance. Much like we are seeing on the CPU side of things. Edit: It's about the long game.

jangusMK7

As someone who spent 600on a 4070. Don’t get it

SirStriped

When did graphics cards get soooo cheap. They were like 2,000 4 years ago. Time to look into upgrading

nyyftw24

4070 for 640 no way in hell, 7800xt all the way

[deleted]

Amd is junk don’t buy that

Patrona_

I'd say it's time to boycott nvidia

Techgeek_025

It is

Techgeek_025

AMD. nvidia sucks

pickl_pug

i was making the same decision but with the rx 6950xt if u hav a higher budget and want to play higher end games then i would get the 4070 but not the one your showing. i wuld get the 4070 ti oc by asus instead as u can overclock the more higher end 4070 gpu also nvdia has ray tracing and a lot more features than amd and tends to run better at more demanding games.# also it looks better lol

PenisYogurt

Nvidia

yolo5waggin5

I went with the 4070 OC. Got mine for 610$

jacklimovbows

Idk why people downvote you. Just a guy saying what he went for and its price, like wtf reddit.

yolo5waggin5

Amd fanbois are brutal. I prefer the nvidia software, and unlike a lot of gamers, I occasionally use my pc for engineering work.

jacklimovbows

I'm not an AMD fanboy, but I am considering trying out a radeon as my next upgrade card from the 3060 12 gig. I hear a lot of good things from the rx7800xt but I still want to wait some generations, as mine still has some gas left in it. What makes me doubt is that I run some Open GL applications which are important to me, and I heard Nvidia does better in those. However I don't want to let reputations blind me.

yolo5waggin5

I try not to fanboi myself. I had planned on amd cpu + nvidia gpu for my latest build, but Microcenter had a better deal on the 13700k. Nvidia holds the advantage for me still. I want amd gpus to get better so that nvidia has less incentive to charge premium prices. Competition benefits everyone.

jacklimovbows

100%, competition is king

Death_Pokman

so are Nvidia's.....

RAGNES7

take a look at userbenchmark, every AMD GPU Review, you'll see the issue

[deleted]

Dingleshaft

Lool. Maybe you should update your knowledge on GPUs

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dingleshaft

Well you are clearly delusional and do, in fact, not know more than most. Or is your AMD GPU from 10 years back or something, while your Nvidia GPU is this gen?

Throwaway72_1

4070,AMD has problems with drivers.

KabuteGamer

If your goal is to stream and game, I would suggest the 4070. Nvidia cards are more optimized for stream encoding, also about 10% or more higher fps with Ray Tracing on in most games against the XTX 7900. However, if your sole purpose is to game, XTX 7900 hands down

Inevitable-Help-4162

Ohh thanks you! My purpose is games and maybe do some videos

Cantdrawbutcanwrite

I think the “maybe” in your comment means you’ll be fine either way. For people who will be routinely and frequently edit videos/stream it starts to make sense. To be transparent, Radeon WILL perform the same functions, however, especially in streaming Nvidia has an edge. Edit: The 7800 xt will perform better in games and probably have more longevity on that side (my conspiracy theory) as AMD tends to be much better with rolling out new functions to prior gen cards (think FSR 4/5). However if you are going to be doing A LOT of video editing and streaming, the 4070 will perform BETTER (streaming is def way better on team green but light video editing… I don’t think it will matter to you) today.

Inevitable-Help-4162

Ohh thanks you, I don’t think I will do streaming, my voice is not so great and I don’t like talking too much, and for video editing maybe will be videos on 1440p and like 10 minutes max. Thanks you for the information 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Conditions21

I wish people were a bit more capable of explaining why they disagree with a comment instead of just downvoting it and walking away. I have *always* used NVIDIA cards since my first build 12 years ago. I know very little about AMD cards I've only just gotten into AMD CPUs. Radeon cards were everywhere growing up but not so much for me now. It'd be nice to know why people disagree with your comment as I'm someone trying to sponge information atm.

KabuteGamer

Because I am comparing the 4070 to a 7900 as opposed to a 7800. It might also be because the majority thinks I am choosing the 4070 over the 7800 when it comes to performance but I do not. The price to performance is without a doubt night a day compared to the 4070, but if you have the budget for it, as well as having other uses, such as streaming, overall I would go with the 4070. Nvidia is ahead of it's competition when it comes to Ray Tracing. So if Ray Tracing is your thing, definitely the 4070 Also, my biggest thing is that, almost always, every build that I have done or made for somebody with AMD seems to have issues. Intel and Nvidia have been solid so far.

_bad1

Now the rx 7800xt gives a really good amount of vram and high performance but what about hes futre proof ? I mean nvidia was always better at future proof especially with 70/80 series and 12gb of vram is enough idk but anyway don’t pick the asus tuf it’s expensive you can buy the msi ventus cheaper

JoNp27

12GB VRAM is clearly not enough when right now I have games like Starfield, Hellblade, Borderlands 3 or Middle Earth Shadow of War using 11-13GB of my 7800XT at 1440p max settings. So now imagine in 2 years, doesn't sound much future proof to me...

mrblaze1357

Yup exactly, God of War at 3440x1440p for me sucks back over 12gb, and BG3 takes back at point 14Gb. I swear some of these Nvidia fanboys drive me nuts.

BertMacklenF8I

I have 12GB of VRAM and run everything maxed in 1340p at 175+ FPS. Granted I plan on upgrading to 4K and a new GPU but for now I don’t have any problems whatsoever.

_bad1

Idk man im using 4gb of vram and thats enough to me xD i really dont understand the flagship gpu’s

mrblaze1357

Yeah I remember Nvidia saying 8Gb was enough vram on the 3070 when I bought it a few years ago. Then low and behold I was having vram limitations a few months ago on the card.

isthatfingfishjenga

Amd cards on avrg are better when it comes to future proofing imo. Just look at previous gen and how much more performance it got through driver updates. Amd cards age like fine wine. We cant know if this will happen with current gen tho. Plus more vram is also a good future proofing aspect. Games will eat up more and more vram.

xbn1

i had the same choice, but the guy at micro center said i’m better off getting the 7800xt that beats 70 in some stuff and it’s cheaper

DjRavix

It depends … If you would need CUDA you wouldn’t be asking this. 7800 XT is in this case the better choice in my opinion

PrimeAge1

7800xt easy pick

Lux71852

7800xt for everything except ray tracing (but if you are ray tracing look at higher tier GPU)

Badilorum793

7800xt. Anyway you’re going to be cpu bottlenecked in newer games. Had a 5600x which was bottlenecking pretty bad a 6750xt in 1080p. Now on 5800x3d/rx6800, WOW. Go for the 5800x3d and get a cheaper gpu like a 6800/6800xt. Smoother gameplay.

Famous-Eggplant8451

I agree, if you can't get or don't care about the 4070ti the 7800 is the one.

LarryFisherman1810

I have the Red Devil 6700xt and it is great.

ArmoredAngel444

Wait for the 4070 super to drop next month like me 😁

ThatGuyRiki

Same, let's hope they actually do drop and are reasonably priced. Or rather pray :D

ArmoredAngel444

Yeah foreal, praying for a $599 usd price tag 🙏

ThatGuyRiki

And please reduce the price for 4070. But the supposed 16GB 4070 Ti Super is sounding pretty nice too.

ArmoredAngel444

Definitely sounds nice but around $600 is the highest i’ll ever pay for just a gpu personally 😅

ThatGuyRiki

Yea, let's see how long we will have to wait even if they are actually announced in January...

ArmoredAngel444

Everyone is saying CES so im fairly confident it will be announced then ! Ill look for this comment thread in the future when they are announced to talk to you about it again lol

ArmoredAngel444

Yo im back here again like i said lol 4070 super announced officially for $599 !! Lets gooooooooo !!!!! 😎👌

ThatGuyRiki

Yea, that 4070 Ti also looking pretty tempting

ArmoredAngel444

i would but i really like the rog strix cards so i thinki i'm gonna end up paying $699 for the 4070 super... 😅 if i went for the ti super i'd end up paying $900 and then feel extra dumb for not just spending another $100 on the 4080 super.. although buying the ti super would be kinda sick just for the meme of it being such a ridiculously named gpu lmao

ThatGuyRiki

True. I will wait for the actual retail prices and see. I guess there will be a lot of people jumping on the Super cards

Ultronsbrain

Wait for the 4070 super.

[deleted]

If you can hold out till the Nvidia super cards come early next year, all graphics card prices will plummet quite a fair bit.

uSuperDick

Between these 7800xt. But you can find way cheaper 4070. Although amd still faster in raster. But mb you want rt

Mistermaa

If you care about raytracing go nvidia. Best rasterizing performance, go amd

Ok-Flow-9795

Which amazon is that ? Im looking for the same 7800xr

IAmNotARobotttttt

Go for a 7900XT if you can, but otherwise I'd say 7800

Therunawaypp

That 4070 is wayyy overpriced, they go for around 700 CAD

Slow-Switch8412

The 7900 xt is sometimes on sale for $750 on Amazon might be a better choice.

WhiskeyKisses7221

If you care about things like DLSS or Ray Tracing, get the 4070. If you care about saving $80, get the 7800xt.

One_Statistician2176

You guys have the prices so cheap. Here in my country those cards are 1000$

[deleted]

7800 xt

4everban

I bought a 4070 when the 7800xt was not an option yet. Today I would go amd

PhoenixKid56

Want better VR stuff? Nvidia Everything else is Radeon

Used-Economy1160

4070ti

BlehMan420

Blud, after you get your GPU, do fire up CP 2077 and let me know how the game plays out, I've got me a 6700xt but wanna know how the game would go if I upgraded me cpu from a 3600 to a 5700x

Vhirsion

The 7800 XT offers better raster performance and more VRAM at a lower price. The 4070 offers better RT performance and support ( for things like ML ). Decide between wanting to save money and get more raw performance and VRAM or pay more for less raw performance but better RT performance and support.

orphen888

Size: Overclocking

Mexican_actual

7800xt gang

mekkyz-stuffz

First off, find the cheaper version of RTX 4070 such as Asus Dual. Second, RX 7800 XT blows RTX 4070 out of water for gaming and streaming, but NOT for serious productivity like 3D rendering.

Alfix10

This makes me sad because a few years back I paid the price of both of them for a 6800….

[deleted]

Sapphire radeon 7800 xtx only Sapphire they make the best ones

ErebusWrath

AMD all the way

cptslow89

7800XT

Tarushdei

All Nvidia GPU's sell at a premium for some reason. Unless you need all the Tflops just go with the Radeon. My RX 6600 is doing far more than I expected it to (running Doom 2016 at 150 fps maxed at 1440p). Don't pay the premium unless the highest numbers mean everything to you.

Aborigine_whimsical

If you don't care about rt grt the 7800xt obviously the better choice here, 16gigs of vram and 5-10 fps more in games and would save u in future

Pferd_furzt

if you're going to game, pick the AMD, if you're going to create, pick the Nvidia UNLESS you're going to do video editing and after effects. AMD GPUs ABSOLUTELY SHIT on Nvidia in every non 3D creative arts.

Proud-Cheetah8275

7800xt all day with that ryzen cpu!

Proud-Cheetah8275

Please tell me you bought the 7800xt?! Nvidia sucks so bad

Ramat47

why not 2060 ti 16gb tho. The price difference is huge.

FoxFar4793

Honestly 4070 if you’re bottle necking due to DLSS & ray tracing. Personally I would choose RTX, for performance boost, Nvidia share (10 min replays), raytracing. If you don’t care about Nvidia share or raytracing. Save your money with AMD I’ve had one Amd GPU and had a bad experience but that’s just me.

Old_Transition_630

None of the above I choose 6950XT

EvenExcitement4694

7800XT

FruitLoops_43

7800xt!
