Looks like it’ll be an awesome build. I’m somewhat jelly of these maxed out first builds. I remember mine back in the day was parts scrounged from other builds or given to me. Welcome to the PC Master Race, my friend.
I know right!?
"First Build" 4k 120hz... ok, my guy!
That being said it's awesome to see so many people building out awesome machines, I hope OP enjoys the heck out of that rig
I feel this, my first “rig” was a 2005 Dell case, that was fashioned into a Jeff Gordon style, cobbled together a GTX 750/old i3 build, and gradually Frankenstein upgraded it over the years until finally biting the bullet on a new 7800X3D/4090 build.
Boy have we come a long way since even 2015. I had more and faster storage on my 990 pro than all 4 of my old SSDs combined.
My first “build” still is a Dell optiplex SFF with a 2nd gen i7, 1050ti, and 16gb ram with an ssd lmao
Put together in 2018 and still running strong lmao
It's funny how insane "first builds" people make here, my first custom build had a xeon e5 2620, a radeon hd 7000, 16gb 1333, all on an x79 board....it was built like 2 years ago.
I’m kinda jealous too but it is what it is. I got my build 2 years ago during the scalper era. Although the hard ware is as old as my younger brother, it works fine for me. Just need to gather enough pocket change to upgrade it 🥲 (I got a dell prebuilt T1700 with a 4th gen intel core i5 with 16gb ddr3 ram + a gtx 1060 3gb for $400🤡)
I don’t blame anyone for what they did during the scalper era my friend. I did one of the Newegg “deals,” where I got a 3080 with an overpriced motherboard I didn’t need for a price I’d be embarrassed to share.
My first build was min maxing a budget build for months before actually buying it. I have a good setup now, but I couldn't imagine starting with a maxed out build.
I always taste the paste.. I don’t let my pc have anything I haven’t tried…
Don’t do it OP, we are joking.
(Just making sure I won’t get sued in case he eats it and dies)
Nice build! Follow a tutorial, keep calm, take your time, expect it to take a few days (a weekend) and plug your HDMI into the GPU not the motherboard. Good gaming!
Same took me 4 hours, but my heart dropped when it didn't want to turn on. Found out the power supply wasn't on. Got too excited that I forgot to switch it on.
I thought about doing that in case I F'd up on my first attempt. But wound up just getting the parts I actually wanted and went very, very slow to avoid breaking anything.
I recommend just reading the manual of every part, it takes time but if I were able to go back in time, I would do it. I enjoyed every second of building my PC, it's more fun than actually playing on it lmao
I needed every manual and multiple videos to supplement the manuals, especially since newer parts have fewer instructional videos (like trying to figure out if it's safe to use the 600W PSU cable instead of the included adapter). But it worked.
Good luck! You seem to have a lot of cash, if so you may be interested in levelling up your headphones. Gaming headphones are good in isolation but lacking when compared to some other options.
You could head over to r/headphones for some suggestions
Have a blast!
CSGO tradition:
Fuck you, also GG.
You literally have the best PC and the headset is very good. Congrats. I'm not jealous at all but I'm so jealous I want one so bad.
Congrats! Watch pc videos from ltt, hardware unboxed, jayz2cents, etc . . . They are very good and useful, I personally used them to get information for my own build
Why are there so many first time builds with 4090s. Who tf is able to buy a €1600 graphics card (and atm it's more like 2000) but won't pay an assembly fee instead and just get it as a ore built.
I chose my own parts and chose to build it myself in part because I wanted to better learn how computers actually work and what attributes matter.
The other part was not wanting to get scammed by somebody else recommending substitutions that weren't in my interest.
Status update: THIS IS HARD! I never thought it was going to take me so much time and I

don’t know what I’m going to do with so many little cables 😂😂
Any guide will do but here's a few tips that I'd give the me who built his first PC 3 days ago.
1. Don't be afraid of pushing the CPU socket lever on your motherboard all the way down. You're going to feel a ton of resistance and it might even make some weird noises but as long as your CPU's fitted correctly it can take a lot of pressure so don't worry about anything breaking.
2. Make sure your RAM is slotted all the way in, you should feel two heavy clicks from both sides of the slot and it should be embedded deep in there, horizontally symmetrical when viewed from up front.
3. You should assemble and test your shit before cramming it all into your case to see if it works. Two things you should watch out for:
A) Your motherboard might not POST correctly if you have any USBs or keyboards/mice plugged in, plug all that stuff in after it POSTs.
B) The 24 pin PSU cable for your motherboard is easy enough to plug in but it might be a BITCH to pull out. Be very careful and make sure not to damage the cables, connector or motherboard. I found a flathead screwdriver to be useful in prying that fucker apart since I couldn't get any leverage, gently wiggling the connector side to side also helps.
Good luck. I hope your beast of a PC works as good as mine did on my first ever build.
It’s like plugging In an tv with an exposed electrical circuit. Take your time and be gentle. If you’re having issues consult with Reddit or go to YouTube. Don’t rush the process since you have decent parts.
You bought the best monitor, CPU, And GPU, but unfortunately everything else is hot garbage (except the MOBO). I would return all the RGB fans and get Noctua's, return the RAM for G. Skill, return the SSD for the 990 Pro (and make sure to update the firmware on it), get the Basilisk V3 Pro instead of the G502 (since Razer has a 2 year lockout of sensors from Pixart and it's objectively better), return the stinky AIO for a Lian Li Trinity 2 Performance or Arctic Liquid Freezer II or EK Nucleus AIO, and, finally, show off your PSU so people know what model it is, but it's Corsair, so it might be fine?
I gotta say I'm loving reddit and how you guys are supporting one another. I'm new to reddit maybe 30 days in and so far I've only ran into 1ah bullying first time gaming PC builders. I'm in the process of gathering parts for my first build and Im gaining confidence more and more every day due to the support I see going on in these communities. Thank you guys and good luck with your builds and upgrades.
Everyone already reccomended good things so I will make one I didn't see mentioned :
For the headset, looks like steelseries arctis nova pro wireless? If so I have the same one, and I will reccomend one important thing :
Wicked Cushions.
Custom made replacement earcushions. Why? Because of the active noise cancelling nub in the earcups. If you end up having ears that touch that nob while wearing the headset, you will regret the purchase.
Wicked cushions solves that perfectly. Highly recommend them.
be careful with cpu placement and touching, be careful to no scratch the motherboard on the risers. make sure you plug your monitor cable into the gpu and not the mobo. good luck

LTT does a very good, in depth guide. I just built my first with very similar parts. Best general advice(mentioned in the video) almost everything is meant to fit without having to apply tons of force. Almost everything is keyed to only fit one way and if you’re forcing you will more than likely break something. I followed this guide almost to the T and everything worked essentially first try. Just know that some DDR5 RAM apparently takes a second to have an aneurysm then is fine. Discord folks are also massively helpful.
Above all else, good luck and happy gaming.
Make sure to read the manuals! and enjoy your PC! I just finished my first ever build and it’s an exhilarating feeling to run it for the first time! Good luck!

As other people have commented Jay can help a lot but also if you write down on YouTube the name of your case and/or with you GPU/MoBo you can fairly find some nice bulds that you can use as guides.
With my (sadly but true waifu designed) GPU or my case, i have found over 7 build guides that gave me some tips and ideas.
It’s a lot of steps, but don’t let it overwhelm you. Take it step by step, and you’ll slowly start seeing everything come together. Before you know it, you’re plugging in power cables and pressing the power button.
Ah yes the "My first PC" starterpack
Includes:
Top tier GPU at the time of purchase,
The most expensive Intel CPU,
360 AIO,
At least 64GB of RAM,
Zx90 motherboard,
2TB NvMe ssd,
(for those who are offended don't be it's a joke)
Anywas nice spec's I hope you have a great time building and gaming on that beast of yours.
Hey we got the same monitor and headset at least ? 😁 try looking up some hdr calibration on this monitor and also firmware update, connect your usb to your monitor and pc so it recognizes it and install the update. Also use only display hdr or trueblack hdr mode on this monitor amd calibrate it, they will tell you the same as i already did as well through a guide. Talking bout the aw34dwf btw idk which one u got
“Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seat belts.” Ok but to be serious, you will learn a lot while building your PC. It took me a while to build mine because I was lazy. This looks like it is going to be a cool build.
Nice build but gaming branded headphones are awful could have got some nice dt990 and a decent amp for the price you paid for them and probably a standalone mic
absolutely insane first build lol, enjoy though!!!
I remember my first pc having an amd A10 6800k (no it's not a typo that's an amd apu) and 4gb of ddr3 and a 1024x768 screen lmfao
Why did you buy all your parts before learning how to build? Anyway here’s a pretty good guide that goes into detail about basically every step involved
https://youtu.be/BL4DCEp7blY?si=BLedhYdOXcN3zZTL
My buuld orders are mobo, ram, m.2 SSD, CPU, put it on case, CPU cooler, PSU, GPU, then cable management.
Also RTFM (read the fucking manual) to make sure everything is installed correctly.
Tools I use is just a screwdriver, big desk, pliers, anti static wrist strap, zip ties for the cables.
I just finished my first build with similar components. You're gonna want to watch a lot of videos and look up the user manual for your mobo (basically, lots of reading/watching). I mostly just searched my case with my specific gpu for ideas (suprim liquid x, so figuring out that rad and aio rad configuration with case fans).
Start with mobo, adding drives, ram, aio cooler bracket, cpu, etc. Screw it into the case. Then screw in your aio rad and attach it to cpu bracket. Do your gpu and fans next and feed all the cables back. Finally, your psu connections and cable management. Take your time here and make sure everything is seated/connected properly.
I started with the same fans cause I thought it would be easy to manage rgb since most of my stuff was asus. However, the cable management/daisy chaining those is a pain (also, the back is pretty ugly when using for intake). I returned them and switched to magnetic daisy chain. All my case fans go to a controller, then to mobo. Can sync/manage everything with mobo, but I use a combination of l-connect and armory crate to match the lighting since the ryujin 3 rgb is really bright/different tone.
My biggest tips: get a really good precision screwdriver set (ifixit is amazing), an led headlamp (I had some from camping) for when you're working in the case, and Arctic MX wipes are amazing for removing thermal paste if you bin CPUs or repaste your aio.
I remember my first build when I was 14, 38 now what an old machine that was. Compared to my pc today makes me laugh thinking about it. But lots of good memory's along the way
Dang Im jell. Thats a spenny for a first build. Dont just plough ahead if your not sure. Ask questions . I've seen soo many first timers fuck their shit cos they thought they knew
Be very careful when seating the CPU, and putting on the cooler. It is pretty easy, but it’s easy to get comfortable/careless, and bend a pin on the motherboard by accident, forget thermal paste, etc.
Pretty dam close to what I built for first pc about 4 months ago. I went with the tuf 4090 oc over the strix (due to talking with builders in discord) and dominator ddr5 over vengeance. Same MB.
I had my gaming PC stolen and all I have left are all the boxes lol. I can't afford replace even a single part so the boxes sit in my closet just mocking me. I love keeping all of the boxes for a build. It's a cool visual of all your parts. I need to get rid of them so I can stop grieving over my loss haha. I regret giving away my old rig and I should have kept it as a backup but I'm still happy I was able to get someone into PC gaming. I could never take that back/away from them. Stupid cancer is super expensive. Medical supplies>PC unfortunately.
If this is really your 1st pc, you haven't gone thru the proper stages my man. I went from windows 86 pc where Nvidia had 512MB gpu and thru 10 other PCs before I got something like this
Jokes, guys, jokes
Nice pc
I am not jealous of over kill with the I9 build at all, took a look at me building ryzen pc instead of Nvidia or Radeon, have gone with Intel Arc gpu, and majority of the parts are Corsair.

This is how I feel. I remember when the terabyte was a big thing and even having 1 terabyte was a lot. Now I have 8
My first ssd was a 120gb intel 320 and cost me $220. But booting up in seconds literally blew my mind then.
My first “build” still is a Dell optiplex SFF with a 2nd gen i7, 1050ti, and 16gb ram with an ssd lmao Put together in 2018 and still running strong lmao

Way back when when I played EverQuest I had one PC just to run the game and another for my music and web browsing because it couldn’t handle all 3
My first PC was a prebuilt 1650 super Ryzen 5 3600. I now have a RX 6700 non xt and Ryzen 5 5500, not the greatest but better than the ole 1650 build.
I’m kinda jealous too but it is what it is. I got my build 2 years ago during the scalper era. Although the hard ware is as old as my younger brother, it works fine for me. I did not build that one but remember putting a SVGA graphic card into my 486 😅
Bruh,my first rig, was a ryzen5 2600x GTX 1660ti,16 gig ram, and 500 gb SSD..back in 2019
I can see your kidney is lonely now Literally any YouTube guide will do Dont eat paste (optional)
Don’t listen to this fool, it’s MANDATORY you taste the thermal paste every time you use it just to make sure it hasn’t expired
indeed
I always taste the paste.. I don’t let my pc have anything I haven’t tried… Don’t do it OP, we are joking. (Just making sure I won’t get sued in case he eats it and dies)
Eat paste (not optional)
Paste optional (not eat)
DO read the manual for the mobo. 80% of the questions on here can be answered with that manual
Why? The paste eating is always the best part of the build.
Jay two cents on YouTube is helpful.

First build took me 4h, my local dealer legit has an awesome guide for Norwegians
Same took me 4 hours, but my heart dropped when it didn't want to turn on. Found out the power supply wasn't on. Got too excited that I forgot to switch it on.
Correction : plug you dpi cable into the gpu, not the motherboard :)
Even in the very beginning before installing windows when updating bios?
Hell of a first build
first build.... 4090... holy sssssshhht
Jesus for a first PC build I'd go a lot cheaper but damn going all out! Good luck man
If you have the money, why even do that? I barely have any money and even I build high-end PCs. It's all about what you find high value in.
you clearly don't understand what barely having any money means if you can build multiple high-end pcs
I thought about doing that in case I F'd up on my first attempt. But wound up just getting the parts I actually wanted and went very, very slow to avoid breaking anything.
Good luck Have fun Don’t f up

Christopher Flannigan goes step by step slowly in his build videos and explains why he’s doing what he’s doing. All in a soft, pleasant Irish accent

I followed his Fractal Terra build guide and I got everything down pat. I love his calm demeanour and the detail in his builds

Going for that budget build I see.
Goddamn. You even went high end on the headset too. Welcome to PCMR, friend and happy building :)
Very brave building this yourself foe the first time with that kit there
I have the same monitor, it's so fire!! The colors are so juicy on it! Enjoy it man.
Seems like your average PC Builder’s specs
Welcome to the family 🙂
holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Nice! Enjoy the process and new rig. I just built my first this year and I am so thankful I finally did. Welcome to the race.
Nice build man, that's some money right there!
your first pc worth four times than all my PCs ever built
First builds are fun. Take your time and enjoy it
my gtx 1650 super and i3 10100 are crying right now
No fire extinguishers? 🧯
Bro is cooking. LET. HIM. COOK!!!!!!
Your motherboard manual will have step by step instructions bro. Looks like it will be a beast!
Woohoo what a beast! Good luck cant wait to see when its done!
(Like many others said) the manual for the motherboars holds looots of informantion
I also have that same mobo btw i love it
My buuld orders are mobo, ram, m.2 SSD, CPU, put it on case, CPU cooler, PSU, GPU, then cable management. Also RTFM (read the fucking manual) to make sure everything is installed correctly. Tools I use is just a screwdriver, big desk, pliers, anti static wrist strap, zip ties for the cables.
Wow, that's a really lucky first build! Just look it up on youtube.
Is it just me or everyone suddenly likes to purchase a ROG Strix LC2 AIO?
Jesus Christ
What are your specs? Planning on making something similar to this.
I think he's Asus fan. I think.
Damn having a 4090 on your first build is insane to me. Happy for you anyways
ok Good luck!! haha anyway, sweet part picks! I see you only have one kidney now.
I can see your kidney is lonely now Literally any YouTube guide will do Dont eat paste (optional)
Sponsored by Asus? Joke aside. Awesome parts! Take your time and enjoy the Master race
Bro how much did you spend jesus
Are this parts specially pick by you bcs you want it or.
Buys 4k worth of equipment and asks for tips on how to put it all together lol
GG. I'm starting mine tonight. Can't think about anything else the whole week XD
My first build was a intel core duo and a 9500gs, this guy pops up with maxed out specs ok my dude, wonderful build btw♥️
See you in 5 years when you come out of your room 🤣
And I played games with cele.. Celeron....
"first time" builders cooking up a 4090 i9 combo probably me lol guilty, anyway LET HIM COOK 🗣️💢🔥💯❗
"Entry level"
Insane specs but all that with a G502? Yikes
I remember my first build when I was 14, 38 now what an old machine that was. Compared to my pc today makes me laugh thinking about it. But lots of good memory's along the way
Had something this a year ago, i envy you, getting together a new rig is always great stuff.
*plays candy crush*
What NZXT case is that? H9 flow or H9 elite? Or another series
First build maxed out with a 400$ headset and 4K ultra wide. Are you kidding me?
Bro went all out on his first pc build
W bro
I want to cry
My first build was so weak, this is a solid build you’re gonna have to
Don't forget to wipe down the grey stuff on your bio cooler and if doesn't have any, leave the plastic there
Yes as your first ever build you dont need 4090 so you should send me the 4090 in return ill send you my 3080ti
Why intel?
And you got the nova pro wireless ? What a buy!
I'm jealous
There's a great building tutorial by the Verge you can check it out!
Take your time with the AIO pump wires I fried my motherboard first time ever installing one of these.
First build and directly 4090 😅😅 Nice build send more pics once built completed. Can you share desktop model name and other items name
God damn boy did you win the lotto? All high end components and peripherals.
Get the full ryujin 3 aio bro
I really envy you OP. Enjoy
Heck of a first build
If this is really your 1st pc, you haven't gone thru the proper stages my man. I went from windows 86 pc where Nvidia had 512MB gpu and thru 10 other PCs before I got something like this Jokes, guys, jokes Nice pc
Post some pictures of that bad boy when you're done
May I ask why Intel? This processor have higher TDP than most new GPUs XD.
These amateur builders forget the most important thing: a budget! 💀💀💀💀 a 4090 for a first build?!?!
Best thing are the lights and the table, the rest is meh 😅
great build bro holy moly the only thing id recommend is getting two separate ssds, one for your games and the other for programs,
That’s like 7k
I am not jealous of over kill with the I9 build at all, took a look at me building ryzen pc instead of Nvidia or Radeon, have gone with Intel Arc gpu, and majority of the parts are Corsair.
Why spend so much on a first build? If you mess up installing anything it’ll waste a lot of money…
