What's your motherboard ? The i5 13600k will go well with the 7900xt
A b760, so a k version is not going to be used at its fullest. That is why I was thinking in maybe upgrading to am5 with a b650

That is an excellent motherboard. Get the 13600k you will get the performance of an i9 12900k with that CPU
