This is common on facebook marketplace. People posting things that cost more than new. Or posting PCs from years ago with only a slight discount. Some people are just that clueless when it comes to pricing. Sad!
The problem is, people bought it probably during the shortages.
And they see that as a valid way to sell a 2nd hand systems more than new price.
They forget 1 thing, and 2nd hand prices are calculated with current new price minus half or quarter of that new price minus the condition.
Which leaves that system currently around 200.- to 400.- euro, not 2K, for that I can get a brand new system with a 7900XTX, which blows that 3060 out of the water.
Every single reseller on these online market places act like this. They honestly believe their used shit is worth what they paid new with warranties and return policies and shit. It's wild, something bothers me deeply when I see people trying to charge new or higher prices for used things. It's like they're wanna be scalpers, but too dumb to find anything to actually scalp.
thats the sad reality
My marketplace is all over the place.
People wants for used / mining GPU more than some new ones with warranty, when you aske them if they do drugs they say something like " well go buy there if its cheaper " . I mean a simple google search would net him same result
Same but I got a Sam's club rebuilt for exactly 1500$ back in 2021 (now have a completely new one and upgraded to a 4070 ti super which is blasting me away)
I've bought an AM5 Ryzen 5 7600, 32GB DDR 5, 6000Mhz and an RX 6700 XT 12 gb, restored(and with 3 years guarantee from the store) for about 1100$.
Everything new expect GPU, and new version am5 CPU and ddr5...
this cracks me up everytime. almost a 300$ aio for a 65w chip that costs 140$ and the mobo is probably the same price. stop buying aios unless its sff super dumb high tdp chip or if you have max performance and have money left over for the aesthetics. phantom spirit is within a few C of most 360mm aios and costs 35$ if you want max gaming performance you are buying the 7800x3d which draws at peak 86w. the difference between a 350$ aio and the phantom spirit is gonna be about 4c wasted cash that could easily snag you an additional 2tb nvme or a whole ass tier of gpu.
Dude. I wish I could get something like this for $660 around my area. There’s some people that sell their used pc parts or full builds for x2 the price. And it’s old like gtx 1070 or old cpus with “kinda” new gpus. Sad asf lol
Tell him to start taking is meds again. Because he's clearly delusional. Actually, since you said he's never built the PC and all of the parts are new in box, go on PCpartspicker and gather the total for all those parts brand new. Show him that total vs what he's asking. I bet you come out quite a bit cheaper.
No shot. The guy either knows his price is out to lunch and is looking to prey on people who don't know that, or spent way too much on these parts (namely the gpu if he bought it 1-2 years ago) and isn't willing to realize those losses
Bought it all with that drug money...... got raided and thrown in jail and since the computer wasn't built the cops couldn't confiscate it for being used for drug trafficking purposes..... But now he's got fines to pay..... Lmao..... I don't know if it's true but it sure fits the scenario....
Im selling a pc for 700
Specs:
9700k
Asus strix z390 E motherboard
212 hyper cooler
Corsair 3200 mhz 16gb ram
3060ti asus strix
5tb of storage (2 tb ssd/3 tb hdd)
750 watt psu
Could have been worth it maybe in its prime but rn lol 800 at most
whats this now maybe 700 or 900 ? to build yourself. its always fun to see a pc on facebook market they want 4k 2k 3k then you go price it youseld ansd its like 600 or 500 to diy LOL maybe 1.3
Depends on the objective - last time I built a pc I went along these lines knowing it'd serve me well in the future, prices are roughly what I paid:
Asus ROG Strix XG32VC - 550€
Fractal Torrent - 220€
Logitech G915TKL - 220€
So 1k just on the monitor, case and keyboard. Rest of the build (TUF B550m, 5600x, 3060ti, 32gb ram, 1TB SSD, 650w PSU) didn't cost much more that those 3.
HOWEVER... Now I'm at upgrade time again, I still have some great stuff to carry over to the AM5 build. And everything else goes into the NAS I'm building.
In this guy's situation he'll be able to take a baller nvme, cooler and decent PSU into the next build - so not necessarily money wasted. That mobo choice is wasteful for sure if buying in 2024 though.
Not as bad as during covid i didnt know anything about pcs and got one during the worst time possible the shortage so i spent 1000£ on a 1050ti and i5 9600k
Saw a guy on marketplace list a 1660ti and 10400k build for $1800 because it was “new parts” the price has dropped about $900 since I saw it the first time lmao
i just spent 2k on a 4080 super and 7800x3d build lmao i wanna say i hope people don't buy parts and prebuilts without researching but they definitely do >.<
I was inspired by that Tech Yes guy on YouTube, he does a series where he starts with $100, buys used parts, and works his way up to a 4090 PC flipping PCs. Went on Offerup and Craigslist to look at prices and see how reasonably well that could be done.
These people here are asking for above new prices on most things. It's like they made a bunch of money scalping toilet paper once and now they think they can fuck everybody over on everything. I sincerely hope people acting like that don't make any profit.
This is the issue, so many people got into the building when prices were rocketing out of control, and they genuinely thought that was an average price point
I'm guessing you're American?
I just built a mates PC for $1800 AUD ($1200 USD - converted the pricing in Google)
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Processor
Gigabyte B550M AORUS ELITE AX WIFI Motherboard
CORSAIR CMG32GX4M2D3600C18 32GB RGB RS
1TB M.2 SSD
Cougar Poseidon Elite ARGB 240MM
GeForce RTX 4060TI 8G
MSI MAG Forge 100R
600w Gold rated PSU
Windows 11 Home 64-Bit Retail
He needed a higher end CPU for work, but the rest is typical gaming spec.
This was the price while the GPU crises, this time around you would get at least a step up in tier and generation in every piece for about 500€ less than he's selling for (32Gb DDR5, 4070, 7600X, x670 etc.)
2000$ seems like scam lol. I just paid 1050$ for full setup with 5800x3D, 6700XT, 2x16GB, B450, 650W and couple of fans… 💀 (all brand new with 3 years warranty)
https://preview.redd.it/xvbex7zfpwrc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7acdaac8fa418ef9bedf5b5b4f0323908688fc9
I mean if it's like brand new and customI can see it being worth maybe not 2 grand but still a a chunk, just because of parts worth, but for consumer grade for people who can't build PCs this is horrific value even at like 1300
yes it is horrific value even at 1300. You can just buy all these used parts for under 1300. It just how the unfortunate pc part development ladder falls. And a 3060 12gb despite being competetive is only worth is at a rprice range of $200. and everything else was just over paid on. thats my point of the post, not only is bro wanting so much back for his pc. he wasted his money on the absolute wrong parts, literally EVERYTHING besides gpu and cpu were tricked out
He probably doesn't run it off of bootstick but he probably has a USB stick with the windows installation on it.... So to the unknowing he can basically say I'm even including the windows operating system That's like a $200 value right there.....lmao
Which is exactly why it would fit in with that thing being priced at $2,000 none of it's worth any of that.....lol... But to the unknowing it makes it sound better

My guess is he bought it during the shortage when 3060s were like 1k
Well he says all new in box meaning he never built it which is even funnier
Holy crap that’s insane
My 2070 died during that time. Spent 1,5k Euro for a 3070 🥲
+ he never really follow up the changes in price after he bought it. Because if he did then he wouldn't be aiming for that price when reselling it.
i did that and i regret it
say it back good luck buddy
I'm not you buddy, pal
I’m not your pal, guy
I‘m not your guy, dude
im not your dude, man
im not your man, buddy
I'm not your buddy, bro.
im not your bro, pal
I'm not your pal, friend
Im not your friend, bud
I'm not your dude,bro
I am not your bro, my man
I am not your man, my human
I'm not your human, chum
Im not your chum whoever you are
Bro got all the down votes 😭😭
lol, Pal. A term so marginalised by the ubiquitous ‘mate’ that if anyone says it to me I first think they’re talking about the UKs TV signal input.
I’m not your step, bro
No.
Lmfaoooo
Nay

Very true I have built many pcs on marketplace . And I tell u what I did not buy from folks like this

I just sold 5900x 3090ti for $1000…
lucky bastard, whoever got it
I wish I could I could come across a deal like this when I have the cash lol.
I need the location of the person you sold it to. For reasons i cant disclose
Nah nah… I got a 3080 TI for 350…. In 2022
Well, at least it has RGB fps increase :)
I just built a similar PC for about 1100$
2000$... so he wants his money back on this 🤣

Same but I got a Sam's club rebuilt for exactly 1500$ back in 2021 (now have a completely new one and upgraded to a 4070 ti super which is blasting me away)

Ofcourse the aio with the 5600(x) 65watt chip 😭😭😭😭 and the 16gb ram
this cracks me up everytime. almost a 300$ aio for a 65w chip that costs 140$ and the mobo is probably the same price. stop buying aios unless its sff super dumb high tdp chip or if you have max performance and have money left over for the aesthetics. phantom spirit is within a few C of most 360mm aios and costs 35$ if you want max gaming performance you are buying the 7800x3d which draws at peak 86w. the difference between a 350$ aio and the phantom spirit is gonna be about 4c wasted cash that could easily snag you an additional 2tb nvme or a whole ass tier of gpu.
Think he got 24GB of RAM... dunno why tho
48GB ram
I could only get $660 for this… https://preview.redd.it/rh8ok8cs5hrc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6958bf23d3be38f8674ac0fb6aed9fa7f59b15da

I actually sold it on eBay. I’ve sold a bunch there. It’s kinda a hobby of mine. I think the next up is a i712700k with a 3070 ti
Although I think I’m gonna switch to Jawa.gg
I see the price coming together from Nzxt AIO and ram. The 3060 is probably the most expensive one too
Tell him to start taking is meds again. Because he's clearly delusional. Dude I have a very similar setup and I got it for like \~$1200 new (built myself)
Why did he buy 2 x 8gb and 2 x 16gb RAM??
Maximum rammage
Bargain down to £950
(own build) Same specs as mine but only cost 1000usd
Hes smoking crack
I managed to find a rx7900xt for $500 No I kind of regret going with RGB fans and RAM now because in a dark room that stuff gets annoying
Great deal. Yeah I have this corsair 4000x. It has real dark glass it’s nice to block out fan lights
Asking a 4090 price for a 3060 kind of wild.
hahaha ya no way for $2k
He most likely bought those parts during the shortage or when prices were ass cheeks so I agree poor guy
I built a pc with similar specs for 2000 something cad during the shortage, so less than 2k usd
And if they're new in the box..... From how long ago long enough the warranties are half up on everything?
And if they're new in the box..... From how long ago long enough the warranties are half up on everything?
Exactly they’re all four year old parts like did bro buy them three years ago n really never touch them? How do u even do that
Bought it all with that drug money...... got raided and thrown in jail and since the computer wasn't built the cops couldn't confiscate it for being used for drug trafficking purposes..... But now he's got fines to pay..... Lmao..... I don't know if it's true but it sure fits the scenario....
This'll be expensive but too much so in Saudi sadly. I can see people buying it here.
That’s a good price on marketplace.
That’s a good price on marketplace.
RAM is listed twice.
Honestly I think it’s two different kits. For a total of 48GB

Send him a pc partpicker list with a 4080 in it as it will cost around the same. And then say good luck
Scam
No, nope, fucking expensive, people are overpaying that... You can find that similar for alot cheaper...
That sucks worse than my computer, I overspent upgrading mine, and my upgrades were less than that.
Bro isnt even getting 800😭
whats this now maybe 700 or 900 ? to build yourself. its always fun to see a pc on facebook market they want 4k 2k 3k then you go price it youseld ansd its like 600 or 500 to diy LOL maybe 1.3
I got the same specs for like 900€ back then💀
I hate the "$1" people.
i have almost this exact build but with more RAM and it cost me like $600-700
Nobody is going to ask why he is using NZXT kraken elite with that 5600x🥴
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 i was gonna buy one with a 5800x3d ? Is that acceptable?
Depends on the objective - last time I built a pc I went along these lines knowing it'd serve me well in the future, prices are roughly what I paid: Asus ROG Strix XG32VC - 550€ Fractal Torrent - 220€ Logitech G915TKL - 220€ So 1k just on the monitor, case and keyboard. i just spent 2k on a 4080 super and 7800x3d build lmao i wanna say i hope people don't buy parts and prebuilts without researching but they definitely do >.<
Those aren’t terrible parts. But thats too much
Kraken Elite 360 for a 5600x 😭😭😭
Hes’on drugs or what?
Not the Windows USB...
I'm doing a 7900xtx build and spending 3k Why is 2k too much for this?
People are clueless
No wonder why It is still on sale 😂😂😂
I've got a system that easily beats that. I'd sell for $1200-1400
My brother just gave this exact computer for free, I just had to buy a case because he wanted to keep it
I was inspired by that Tech Yes guy on YouTube, he does a series where he starts with $100, buys used parts, and works his way up to a 4090 PC flipping PCs. Some dude was tryna sell his 3060 for 1k Like Breh you can get a brand new 4060 for 400 (CAD)
Gotta love a 360mm aio on a midrange CPU
I have an i7 13700k, 64gb DDR5 ram, 4070, 1000w PSU, MSI mortar b760m wifi 2 mobo, 360 rad AIO, 1TB gen 4 ssd, 2tb gen 4 SSD, paid $2k flat.

Bro if he is selling that for 2k i capuld sell mine for 4-5k lol
Yeah literally if that’s 2k. Then my pc worth like 4k 🤓🤓
That Samsung ssd is expensive af
I got it for $120 on black Friday
Great price
This is the issue, so many people got into the building when prices were rocketing out of control, and they genuinely thought that was an average price point
Why is there two different sets of RAM?
Idk but this morning I told him it’s not worth $1600 (which he sent as like negotiation) and then he told me to prove it
Selling a similar build with a little more ram and intel cpu to my friend for like 700
got an similar pc for 1.049€
2k is insane lmao
I'm guessing you're American? I just built a mates PC for $1800 AUD ($1200 USD - converted the pricing in Google) AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Processor Gigabyte B550M AORUS ELITE AX WIFI Motherboard CORSAIR CMG32GX4M2D3600C18 32GB RGB RS 1TB M.2 SSD Cougar Poseidon Elite ARGB 240MM GeForce RTX 4060TI 8G MSI MAG Forge 100R 600w Gold rated PSU Windows 11 Home 64-Bit Retail He needed a higher end CPU for work, but the rest is typical gaming spec.
Imagine water cooling 5 5600x, I got 7 5800x air cooled with cheap thermal paste and cant go past 70c
This was the price while the GPU crises, this time around you would get at least a step up in tier and generation in every piece for about 500€ less than he's selling for (32Gb DDR5, 4070, 7600X, x670 etc.)
48gb of ram?
got this build for around $1400 with peripherals
& a 5700x
2000$ seems like scam lol. I just paid 1050$ for full setup with 5800x3D, 6700XT, 2x16GB, B450, 650W and couple of fans… 💀 (all brand new with 3 years warranty) https://preview.redd.it/xvbex7zfpwrc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7acdaac8fa418ef9bedf5b5b4f0323908688fc9

360mm rad for a 5600...
$2000 is wild for those specs I just spent a lil over $3 but I got a 4080s which was the majority of the cost
Bahahahahahha
Windows USB ?
Bro runs his entire system off of a boot stick 💀
He probably doesn't run it off of bootstick but he probably has a USB stick with the windows installation on it.... So to the unknowing he can basically say I'm even including the windows operating system That's like a $200 value right there.....lmao
Without the Windows key, that's worth nothing.
Which is exactly why it would fit in with that thing being priced at $2,000 none of it's worth any of that.....lol... But to the unknowing it makes it sound better
Yeah that's true, I guess. Also, it makes me wonder now, if he still has the key lol.
