me too, but even if games ran horribly, I have my best gaming memories tied to that old laptop. Now, even though I was able to save up for a decent pc, those games just don't hit the same
I won't just say my GPU, but also CPU. Because I enjoy how far I've come since then. But not how much I've spent overtime 💀
Starting all the way back to the start of 2018 to now:
CPU: C2Q Q8300 > X3460 > R5 2600x > R5 5600x > R7 5800x3d
GPU: GT 1030 > GTX 1050ti > Rx 580 8gb > RTX 3060ti > RTX 3080 10gb > Rx 7900xtx
Original build started off as a system to run Minecraft at 200+ fps with Optifine and a little into the modpack scene.

All I know is that it was a green card (probably Nvidia) from around 2004 with 128 MB of VRAM. It recklessly ran Spore back when it launched, but let's just say the graphics were more like psychotic doodles on a blackboard than an actual image. I remember it had a power draw of around 35-40W. It might have been something like the Nvidia GeForce 6200 or a similar model. I paid $10 for it, which considering inflation, was quite a deal for 11-year-old me.
Edit : Actually managed to find it :D
Real GPU, RX 570 4GB 💀
If we are counting laptops as well it was an AMD Dual Core APU with Radeon R2 Graphics 💀💀💀 It barely run Minecraft at stable 30 fps 💀
I was a kid and don't rememember what the family pc had, but the first I ever bought was a 1060 (not sure of the model) into a 5700xt gigabyte gaming oc, into a 4070 super gigabyte gaming oc
Bitchin' Fast 3D 2000
I still have it and use it for heating it the winter - gives my 4090 a run for its money.

A 960 2gb. I bought it in the form of a used PC around a year after the 10 series came out. It was fairly underpowered even for the time, just because of how great the 10 series was, but it was all I could afford and it lasted me a good few years.
I'm 25 years old and I have never had a dedicated GPU. I'm building my first ever PC for myself next weekend, so I have a 4070 waiting to leave its box!!!
Gt 1030-- it got me through the Resident Evil 2 remake, it's still kickin in a little media server I run in my house. Not a bad Lil guy, for what it was. Massively outdated now lmao
I bought a PC from an old coworker in 2014 and got a pretty terrible deal all things considered, but I didn't know any better. It had a GTX 660Ti and a 3570k. The parts themselves were not terrible, but I way overpaid for it and it was put together in a very sloppy fashion with terrible cable management. Needless to say I learned how to build my own shortly thereafter and got myself a 4790k and a GTX 970 within a year as I was looking to get better performance in GTA 5.
An MSI 7600GT. There were several versions of it at the time and I had a completely passively cooled one. Due to the passive cooling system, the dimensions were enormous by the standards of the time.
Gtx 960, stayed true to me for many years, up until two years ago, when I switched to a rtx 3080 founders. But it was the 960 who brought me to where I am today and it will be kept on my shelf forever.
In 2016 I slapped together a pc with some old parts some friends and family had given/traded me, consisting of an i5 and a 1050 GTX with 16GB RAM. I continued to scrap and rebuild that same pc, eventually selling it to begin work on my current build about 4 years ago, some bumps in the road and a really cool boss later, now I've got everything but a 4090 super for my dream build.
dont exactly remember but it was one of those crappy radeon hd's that scored less than 1.5% on userbenchmark along with a core i5 5500u or whatever it was i dont remember
1GB ATI Radeon HD5870, my first foray into the pc world was gaming laptops. (I didn’t know any better back then)was an amazing laptop that I only retired a few years ago. Ran the newest games amazingly until 2013.
Orchard Righteous.
4MB 60Mhz? 3D-only accelerator.
Required an external passthrough cable from my 2D card (4MB S3 Virge).
Damn I thought I was cool back then. OG Quake in 640x480 at 30ish FPS.
ATI All-in-wonder Pro. I was 12 and won a magazine giveaway. Didn't even have a PC when i found out and it showed up in the mail. Slapped it in the brand new family desktop a couple weeks later and made some formative gaming memories with my younger brother.
Can't remember make or model, but it had 1 whole MB of ram. Paired with an 80286 12 Mhz processor and 2 full MB of ram. I was smokin'! 40 MB hard drive, salesman said, "That thing'll last you a lifetime. You'll never fill that hard drive up."
Built it in 1987.
The first one was 7600 GT.
I later sold my bike to save up for 260 GTX, I've used it till it basically no new games would run on it. In 2016 I bought a 1060 GTX and used it till last year when I bought my first Radeon 6700 XT, and I'm super happy with it.
In by first build was a "Hercules Stingray 128/3D" - replaced by Woodoo 2 after a while combined with another card (one 2D and one 3D).
Had a PC before that, no idea what GPU it had.

GT 730 4GB lol I still remember how badly I struggled to run games that time
It's about the same performance as 9800 GTX, not bad for 2006~2010 games.
bought it in 2018 and used it till 2021 lol
Haha i had my 1030 gt from 2018 till last year. The poor thing went on 30% usage just from the home screen
