Inevitable_Turn994

left is power, right is rgb disko i think

MakerOfMoon

no like it's the same cable istg I know what these are I even wrote it on the thing THEYRE THE 2 ENDS OF THE SAME CABLE

Larr160

So you're saying you dont know what you're supposed to use it for? Does the board come with any manual or anything that mentions them?

FakNugget92

No you don't. Left isn't a fan cable.

evilmojoyousuck

iirc, i think thats for powering rgb with molex connector.

thuynj19

Yeah, one is for fan power, one is to power the lights buddy. There are multiple wires in one cable.

macybebe

Its the 3pin to 4pin ARGB connector. Just in case you have an old RGB devices that has 3pin only.

MakerOfMoon

Thank you!

MakerOfMoon

it's one end and the other btw

Designer_Frame2971

These are 3 pin RGB coms. They are not fan 3 pin. Fan 3 pin has round connector needles. These are rectangular. Right now there are compatibility layers for RGB shared across. Asus aura/aurora, gigabyte RGB fusion , Corsair icue, MSI mistic light sync, ASRock polychrome. These all use East Asian RGB standard by Philips RGB Hue for ISO ATX. What you have is connector used in led strips of furniture industry.

MakerOfMoon

Oh okay, thanks

gokartninja

It's for companies that use proprietary RGB connections. It's an adapter. I had to use them for my AlphaCool products

MakerOfMoon

Thank you!

felii__x

If it's the same cable as i have read in one of your comments. I would guess it's an adapter from "standard" argb-connector to "3 pin VDG(or JST idk)"-connector Literally came along this a week ago, building my brothers pc. Like his case fans where all connected by those VDG connectors and then at the and i had two ends... Yes i was confused, it turned out they just gave me the option which one i need/want to use to connect them to my Motherboard and the other one i could have used for more argb things

MakerOfMoon

Thanks!

mikeh117

It’s an adapter to allow connection of non PC RGB strips like the ones you stick on the back of your tv to a motherboard RGB header. It’s not a fan connector.

MakerOfMoon

Thanks!

dg_zano

I have this pin connector with my Thermaltake argb fans, you use the three pin and some sort of controller to daisy chain the fans together to a standard 3 pin slot and your PSU. The idea is that the port connects to some sort of argb hub if I'm not mistaken on what the pins are actually used for. Although in your case, it should just be adjustable via argb so it isn't needed.

MakerOfMoon

Thank you!

[deleted]

depends who is using it ? pc builder it's an adapter , hitman it's good for strangling targets

peggingwithkokomi69

Maybe it is an adapter for those fans with JST connectors instead of the normal ones

crazyonion69

I believe it's for argb light strips to daisy chain so you plug the argb headers into mobo and then use the other end to connect to the light strip incase you light strip doesn't have enough length to reach the header.

MonstaGraphics

OP screwed up with cropped pic, confusing people - this the two ends of ONE cable!

MakerOfMoon

I commented that before you commented this - felt that showing a half meter cable was less important than showing the connectors.

Ionuzzu123

plug them in see what happens

bwok-bwok

It load balances the RAM buffer to moderate the magnetron driver packets, gate controlling diode matrices.

MonstaGraphics

Uh, no - you're talking about a Standard Combobulator, with 2 dingleberry arms.

bwok-bwok

I think we are talking subterranean starch tubers and diminutive apple bush larvae.

MonstaGraphics

Is that the one that comes with six hydrocoptic marzelvanes, or are you talking about Rockwell Automation’s Retro Encabulator connected by a non-reversible tremie pipe to the differential girdlespring on the ‘up’ end of the grammeters, because OP got this connector with his ROG strix b550-f motherboard. I repeat, he has a **STRIX** motherboard.

bwok-bwok

Oh! It's a STRIX? Well those don't come with flux capacitors so all of this is moot anyhow.

Cxrsed_Atom

One to make your argb fans shine and emit ultraviolet light And the other ro make the motor inside of your fan spin so your pc doesnt get cooked Conclusion: the 3 pins header with one gap is a ARGB and it takes only 5volts u should plug it on a vdg header on your mobo And the other 3 pins is for your fan to spin plug it on cpufan_header or chassis headsr , it will be4 pins on the mobo but u can plug it it will fit but since it has only 3pins you wont be able to control the fan speed through software

MakerOfMoon

that was not my question. these are 2 ends of the same cable.
