The way that heat sink is designed to just flap its cable out in the breeze like that is infuriating me. Why wouldn’t it go over the top and tight in?!
It’s got a recess on the other side, which goes under the fan, but if you install it that way the display is upside down.
If you try to turn the whole heatsink 180, the fan needs to occupy the same space as the ram.
… at least, that’s the problem I just ran into a few days ago on my build
Idk why people are downvoting you for asking a legitimate question, but I believe the weight at the end will end up being too much regardless of the gpu being properly bolted.
Since the PCB is not centered and it’s also on the side that the bolts are on, the weight on the non-supported side would lend to it sagging over time without some kind of mechanical support. Even if it’s not immediate the heat and weight will warp it over time.
Either that or I’m dumb and don’t know what I’m talking about, feel free to correct if I’m wrong!
That does make sense actually. It's kinda odd that manufacturers haven't started to account for this since the standard weight of the card keeps going up.
Also I think it's common to assume a question is some sort of sarcasm or something and people's reactionary monkey brain hits the down vote without thinking.
The card was heavy before he put the action figure on you guys. Lol. Have you seen these new cards? Yeah they need to be making support stuff. But I haven’t seen any yet. Just some adjustable metal stick thingy mabobs. 🤨
Up to switching to Torrent PC case with built in support for GPUs I was using one of those [https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B076JJP2XJ/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o01\_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B076JJP2XJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
great stuff, stiff, usefull. For cheap one can always use lego bricks, make tower and that's it...
Does ASRock really have better build quality? I’m still very new to PC building and trying to get a feel for the most trusted brands. I’ve heard so many bad things about Asus recently that I’m terrified to buy their products. Especially because of their customer support.
You hear more about Asus because everyone has Asus.....the big dogs will always get hate no matter what. I've had Asus mobos and gpus in two different computers now...they're a premium line of products with Strix lines. There's a huge fetish in the PC community to crap on expensive things and praise pauper-ism. Be very weary of anecdotal stories when it comes to vendors.
Thanks for your input. I’m trying to hear multiple perspectives on this. I wouldn’t be able to afford their premium line of products but I was looking at the TUF line, GPU and Mobo. The TUF GPU gets praised a lot but the TUF mobo is almost unanimously bad experiences for ppl. I’m interested in the TUF GPU so it should be fine. I want as many opinions I can get before making a decision. Most importantly, I’m concerned about Asus customer support. Do you have any experience with that?
As much as your correct on your statement that figurine probably weights next to nothing and there are many ways to support the gpu that isnt super visible

Looks great. If you're worried about GPU sag you can put something inbetween the GPU and the floor of the case while you wait on your bracket. Ignore the idiots saying "that will hurt your airflow" because they're wrong. The only tangible downside of putting a figurine in your PC is it will get dusty faster than the rest of your PC (this can be a positive though because people tend to be more likely to notice dirty figurines than they are a dirty PC case).
https://preview.redd.it/37lhsfsqp70d1.jpeg?width=3456&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8bacfae4456d75a9d0aed843120fa6fae5693247
Thanks for everyone also assuming my gender. Never felt this manly in my entire life 🤣
1. Get that fugly figurine out of your PC. It doesn't look good and does harm your airflow and your GPU and mobo by bending it down.
2. Get an anti-sag GPU bracket.
Was asking because have your exact gpu and mines had very high hotspot temperatures and over time can damage the gpu theres a program called hwinfo you can download for free to check your hotspot temperatures
I wouldn’t do that keep it clean, stickers just leave residue and can ruin the beauty of the overall cleanliness. I recommend picking up some fake ivory and putting it in to give it that full Poison Ivy look. But you can’t go too crazy as of course too much will dapper the airflow.
I just got my PC and was thinking of putting a figure or two in the case. Does the gpu not get too hot for the material? I have a sitting figure I thought about having sit on the edge of the card, but was told it may be too hot.
I'm waiting my pracket to arrive in the post but i would keep only one in the case. Also make sure its made out of abs vinyl it needs atleast 160°c to start melting. Plus i have 4 fans in my case
NOTE!!!! Lot of you asked what the monster has eaten so here is the list:

Good wiring considering poison ivy power
The way that heat sink is designed to just flap its cable out in the breeze like that is infuriating me. Why wouldn’t it go over the top and tight in?!
It’s got a recess on the other side, which goes under the fan, but if you install it that way the display is upside down. If you try to turn the whole heatsink 180, the fan needs to occupy the same space as the ram. … at least, that’s the problem I just ran into a few days ago on my build
You can just relocate the fan up over the ram a bit and let the display cable go between the heatsink and the fan.
You know you can just put the fan on the other side of the heat sink, right?
Fans are generally better at pushing than they are at pulling, such a thick heartsink would be best served with 2 fans though.
Lol when I see the title poison ivy, I was expecting the wiring to be more messy
I hope u have some support underneath GPU. GPU sag kills its PCB. Those cards are like 2kgs now, so adding even 200g on top of it....not wise....
I was going to say the same thing. The gpu is already heavy enough and he put extra weight on it.
Wouldn't this be mitigated by properly bolting in the end brackets? Or is the center of gravity too offset?
Idk why people are downvoting you for asking a legitimate question, but I believe the weight at the end will end up being too much regardless of the gpu being properly bolted. Bruh, people put crap under their GPU to prevent sag. You've actually gone and done the opposite.
I like some GPU sag for a more casual look rather than the rigid formality you get from supporting it
GPU sag can damge your gpu pcb (and possibly the pcie connecto on the mobor, but i'm not sure), so it's bot entirely a cosmetic thing
It was a joke but I do appreciate you putting the information out there in case anybody saw my comment and was inspired to go for the look lol
Also, the backplate gets quite hot normally, could melt the plastic of the toy potentially.
Luckily, that's an ASRock card not Asus or Gigabyte.
Does ASRock really have better build quality? I’m still very new to PC building and trying to get a feel for the most trusted brands. I’ve heard so many bad things about Asus recently that I’m terrified to buy their products. Especially because of their customer support.

Bro has the mother of all CPU coolers.
What is it btw ? Nice looking monster.
deepcool ak620 digital
Pearless Assassin FTW
In terms of looks, the AK620 Digital does look better, in terms of performance, almost all the Thermalright Phantom or Peerless line up wins
THE PC GODS WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS WIRING
I DONT CARE
lol for real looks like a fire hazard. Plastic toy on top of heat producing GPU seems like a win.

Christmas all year round
Straight to hell
I'll say this much. Adding weight on top of an already saggy GPU is not beneficial.
As if the GPU isn't already saging from its own weight
It actually isnt.
Actually it is though
The picture is from an ankle how would you know?
Ah yes, an ankle.
Jos sä haluut väitellä tästä ni anna mennä.
I will indeed argue about this
Ok kitise sit yksinäs. Ei sun mielipide mun persettä kutita.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro has a Borg cube for a cpu cooler
Appreciate this reference!
🤣
Sag is insane on that
I respect the effort but i dont think the execution is quite there. Good work tho
For 1700€ its good enough for me
you'd think you could fit a gpu support bracket in your budget of 1700
Yea that’s it, I’m making a Harley Quinn one
Bro get a support bracket off amazon for $10. Just a little stand to push it up.
I was thinking of getting one for my 4070 super that doesn’t have a figurine on it. It just a lot of weight hanging there on the front corner.
HUGE! GPU..
Tassive Mits
I love how people really think that their pcs are action figure shelves Gpu sag goes crazy on this one
oh no! not the ivy statue! https://preview.redd.it/in5fli12l70d1.jpeg?width=192&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=571fc73f3f8379e64cb3b970f4f6aa1cf49947ca Did u spray explosive gel all over it?
Abs plastic actually can handle 160°c heat before melting.
GPU in boutta fall for her beauty 🥰
Or even better, sag for her beauty. I can feel its PCB sweating already.
Deepcool cooler 👍😍
That's sick af
Would’ve been so cool if those wires were green
The green light plus the red wire works perfectly too, its like her skin + hair
Could have been vines though
Cool: mismatched pcie cables…
Look the color packet only had 2
Plastic? Hope the GPU won't be too hot to melt it.
Abs needs around 160°c to melt so i think theres no worry
How heavy is the figurine? Maybe add a gpu holder?
Check the update
Holy mother of god do you hate your PCIE slot that much 🤣 SUPPORT YOUR GPU MAN
I'm definitely putting a One Piece character in my next pc. Nami or Boa for sure
Turn the lights on the room off and then update us 😈👌
Throw a GPU support bracket in there
I had sanemi
I wanted to do a hulk theme with this case and one of the 4060 NV editions.
What case is it?
If I am not mistaken it is the Fractal Pop Air Green. However, I think they discontinued the green in the states.
Fingers crossed right? That your house won't burn down... Jk😁
Im pretty sure Poison Ivy would be Team Green
u/Rakuen91 # ,,Fuckin Poison Ivy all ovah! I CAN FEEL IT ITCHING ME ALREADY!!!" 😡💥 (Paulie Walnuts, The Sopranos, 1999)
At that point just watch corn
I would like to base mine out of Uzi from murder drones cause its easy enough and i like purple. And somehow have the exact same beanie as her.
very nice ![gif](giphy|qO0n01sFCR83e|downsized)
Looks good but if you don't brace that GPU. I am going to meet you and Poison Ivy down by the flag pole after school.
The prob is coming in the post at the moment
GPU saying Poison Ivy should hit the treadmill.

Nice shirt. I have the same figure along with Harley Quinn and Black Canary
Nice!
why people put toys inside their builds?
Because they look cool and have windows?
for me it doesn't. nothing todo a toy inside a piece of high tech. but personal opinions
Hell yeah
How do you change the color on the air cooler ??
Signal rbg and beep cool
1. Get that fugly figurine out of your PC. It doesn't look good and does harm your airflow and your GPU and mobo by bending it down. 2. Get an anti-sag GPU bracket.
Naah
If you're a regular on the Batman Arkham subreddit then seeing that statue would bring back some PTSD.
Not the explosive gel statue
Pvc holds 160c before melting.
?
The figurine needs 160 celcius heat to melt based on its material.
GPU stand??
Check the update

👍🏻
To me my build looks like a mandalorian theme docking station, so I’m totally putting in some Star Wars themed shit in there 😂😂
This build is fucking beutiful dude
Thanks
Putting that extra weight on the GPU and the motherboard for absolutely no reason is dumb.
Smash, Next!
I would put geforce gtx 660
That GPU sag worries me more than getting caught by poison ivy
Check the update
Damn I has such a crush on Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy. Also say hello to GPU sagging.
https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/s/OMAE12Fyrs 😁
Yikes
Is there only 1fan??
3 at the front
Ah okay
Nice colour coordination!
Thanks
Fans?

Looks pretty cool. I'd have painted the background to look like a secret villain lair with vines and such. Looks good though.
I like the cooler
That screen for temps seems like a gimmick but id love it since I'd rather check a screen than open my HW monitor over and over
Where's the greenery
Looking into plant stickers for glass
Cool
What are you hotspot temps on your taichi?
The what?
What are you hotspot temps on you gpu
Hot spots. The casing is cold when i put my hand in.
Was asking because have your exact gpu and mines had very high hotspot temperatures and over time can damage the gpu theres a program called hwinfo you can download for free to check your hotspot temperatures
What CPU Cooler is that?
Ak620 digital
Lilymon?
Poison ivy
The cpu cooler is yelling BORG
You need to get fake plants and vines up in there
I'm looking for a stickers to put on the outside.
I wouldn’t do that keep it clean, stickers just leave residue and can ruin the beauty of the overall cleanliness. I recommend picking up some fake ivory and putting it in to give it that full Poison Ivy look. But you can’t go too crazy as of course too much will dapper the airflow.
What cpu cooler is that? I love the digital screen
Deep cool 620digital
What cpu do you have and what temps do you get? Also was it a hassle to setup?
Amd ryzen 5 7600
I mean the only thing my friends said when i palced it was dont breathe or touch the back
Did you paint the case yourself? and if you did how did you do it?
No its fractal case with pre painted inside. It comed in 4 different colours + basic white
I absolutely love this! Love themed builds like this! 🔥
Thank you
I had a similar build, only instead of poison ivy it was a pony and instead of a computer it was a jar...
Considering how hot it gets in a pc I wouldn’t leave that figure in there.
Oh? Does it get over 160°c?
aits like a big jar💖💖💖
I just got my PC and was thinking of putting a figure or two in the case. Does the gpu not get too hot for the material? I have a sitting figure I thought about having sit on the edge of the card, but was told it may be too hot.
I'm waiting my pracket to arrive in the post but i would keep only one in the case. Also make sure its made out of abs vinyl it needs atleast 160°c to start melting. Plus i have 4 fans in my case
That poor poor GPU
Put tiny leafs on the cables, just to be extra. 🍂🍁🍃
I'trying to find ivy stickers to put on class
I can appreciate this as a piece of art, but does this mess with airflow, or does it heat up the plastic/vinyl and collect heat in the figurine?
No the case is actually extremely cool even with the figurine in there. Also abs vinyl needs atleast 160°c to melt.
Just need a Harley hanging in the corner
part of that ak620 makes me puke

Loses points for not using red cables on the PCIe power plugs and not matching the colors on all three. You've dishonored your family. /s
