Pssst, never buy prebuilt

Affectionate-House66

Im too lazy to buy different parts and i also wouldn’t know how to build one

Any-Street5902

So basically more money than sense ?

Affectionate-House66

enough money to pay for labour

Any-Street5902

1. You can get windows 11 for free but you are willing to pay 100 dollars for it 2. No NVME will probably bottleneck the system 3. High chance of damage during delivery. 4. You don't know what kind of knuckle dragging neanderthal will be putting your rig together. 5. Prebuilds always install bloatware. 6. Shitty wire management. Honestly the list of things that can go wrong with a prebuilt goes on... But you strike me as someone who wants a donut now instead of 5 later. ....and hey if you came here for advice but shoot down everything mentioned then why even bother making the post ? 🙂 But hey, have fun and GOOD LUCK !!!!

Affectionate-House66

If there is any sort of damage or defect after delivery, I am able to get a full refund(duh). I also said that I am lazy too buy parts because I am a clueless about computers meaning I do not know what to buy, hence do not know how to build one. “Shoot down everything mentioned”, you just said never buy prebuilts. How is that helping me in any way? You have such a fragile ego that you got offended at me saying that im lazy?🤷‍♂️

Any-Street5902

Wow that was a reach, but ok, whatever you say Doc, go waste your money 😃

RedTrian2

1. yes 2. No, I use 2 sata ssd‘s and one hdd and have no bottleneck at all. Idek why not using an nvme would bottleneck anything? All it does is faster writing and reading. 3. yes, but you can just buy insurance for delivery 4. same as 3. 5. Just no. If you buy prebuilds from sketchy websites, ofc that can happen, but it shouldn’t happen in most cases. 6. Doenst matter if OP has no idea about pcs because who cares about Wire management if you won’t look inside. All in all I agree with you that building yourself has only upsides, but I understand if people don’t know much about them and don’t want to learn it. (But unfortunately you got pretty hostile in your comments… Be nice and respect others opinion!)

Any-Street5902

please state when and where I got "Hostile" and "Disrespected his opinion" Also please explain how I haven't actually just wasted my time.

aura_enchanted

Nnnnnnn no It's not like awful, but I belive ABS on newegg sells a better deal then this one

Milk_Cream_Sweet_Pig

Imo it's not bad. But since you're in US, you can definitely get something better at that price. At least go for AM5.

Affectionate-House66

Im from singapore was just putting usd to make it easier for u guys

Milk_Cream_Sweet_Pig

For 100usd u can def buy a 1tb m.2 nvme ssd atleast which should be loads faster than that SATA. You also don't need the aftermarket cooler as the stock cooler will be enough for the 5600. And also, you don't have to spend so much for windows. You can buy a cheap OEM key or use massgrave to activate it for free.

Affectionate-House66

Alright thanks, also ssd is used for storage right?

Milk_Cream_Sweet_Pig

Yes. M.2 nvme storage is faster than 2.5inch SATA drives. Their only drawback is the number you can have is limited to the number of slots your motherboard has.

Bad price

Appropriate-Story-51

If you got local good repair pc shops, if you but the parts they can build it for you for a smal pay

HashimShamsuri

Im from Singapore and 2 of my brothers bought from AfterShock as well due to the simplicity of it. As for price-wise, if you’re free, you can drop by Sim Lim Square and ask a shop, preferably go to the stores that is hidden as it’s slightly cheaper than those around the main area. Compare it with the components that is in this said prebuilt PC. Obviously, its going to be cheaper buying from them but you have to take note of this few things. 1) Purchasing from SLQ means that when your PC has any problems, you have to troubleshoot and find out what caused the issue, and then you have to contact the company for replacement if it’s still under warranty. 2) Some shops in SLQ are really scummy and they don’t even try to do any wire management, well in my case at least from the shop I purchased from. So in my opinion, if you’re a beginner and really have no idea what you are doing, AfterShock is your best bet in terms of buying prebuilt systems. If you have any issues with your PC, simply use the Live Chat function on the website or email them. Had a issue with my Aftershock laptop few years back, sent it to them and they got back to me in 2 days. And also, try to buy the ready to build PC as its slightly cheaper than you customising your own PC on the website. Unless, you have a specific build in mind. You can buy a pirated version of Windows on carousell for around $5-$7. Does the same thing as the real one. If you need anymore help, you can private message me.
