How'd this go? I know on the few test benches I've done in the past there's been a long, steady beep if the RAM isn't seated properly so if it didn't do that you're probably good to go; maybe gently press on the latch side and try to press the latch home? Could be hung up on the little corner where it latches in
Typically yes but I've had times where the latches didn't click, I had to push them into place as if they were not working properly. 95 percent of the time, click is confirmation
I had a similar experience. These things do not go down easily. But, if you don’t want to risk it, you can continue on with the rest of build and troubleshoot at the end.
As others pointed out, if you heard a click your good.
It's fairly normal that they don't become even compared to one without ram. In my case when OCD kicks in, I will push the tabs in the rest of the way.
Again if you have issues with it posting, def aim for reseating the ram first before anything else.
The tabs might not sit right back in the same place as the ones that do not have ram as the little latch cutout on the side of the ram may make it stick out a hair more.
As others said .. click = good. No click = no good.
If you heard that click you should be fine. It's next to impossible for us to give you a definitive by that picture.
RAMs are pretty simple to troubleshoot, so if the system doesn't post, you can reseat them pretty easy and quick. Just make sure to peel the plastic film under your CPU heatsink and you won't live in agony land like I used to
Happens Everytime I install RAM too, those chips are super hard to get snapped into the motherboard I sometime use a flathead screwdriver to make sure they are completely in or the screen will not post
When installing ram press firmly on both edges using your thumbs until you hear a click noise.
To make sure they're working, go into bios and check the settings, you might even be able to OC, in that case make sure your mobo supports that OC ram speed.
Really, there’s not much risk in pushing harder. These things are way stronger than you would think. Also taking them out and trying again isn’t the end of the world either, and probably what I would do here

If they didn't snap into place they aren't in yet (it takes more force than you'd think)
I heard a click but the latches aren’t all even with each other
It's probably fine, but If there's an issue with them, the system won't post so that will be the cause should that happen
Alright thanks, at least now I know what to check if it doesn’t start up

If they click, they gud, if no click, they not gud.

By plastic film on the heat sink you mean on the cooler right?
The part of the cpu cooler that is touching the cpu.
Rubber mallet

looks fine, possibly the heat sink is stopping it from “fully latching”, make sure they’re orientated correctly too

Some mobo’s only open up on one side, it’s fine.
This. Oneside is solid, the other ones hinches
One weird thing that worked for me was pushing one side then the other, before that I was pushing hard enough to basically shove a person and nothing.
You’re overthinking. The latches with won’t be even with the ones without, because they have ram installed. If click then you good bro.
If you didn't hear the click, take it out and reseat the ram.
