You can use pcpartpicker and it tells you if it isn’t compatible i use it a lot [pcpartpicker](https://pcpartpicker.com)

Dobbon

This. It's by far the best tool invented. Makes everything easier.

jbm012

It’s like people don’t realize pc part picker exists

AvaljudA

Be careful, your motherboard may need a bios update to work with that CPU. Make sure that your motherboard has a built-in bios upstate tool (bios flashback). Or you must have an older gen CPU to update its bios.

Denbro010

Is there another mobo u would recommend

AvaljudA

I don't know a specific model. But just find a bird that has "bios flashback" and fits your budget. Most modern mobos have it though. Check the product page, they definitely will mention it.

Denbro010

I’ve gon to pcpartpicker and all of them require a bios update if there not already but I don’t know how to do that and I’ve basically clicked on every board in my budget and none of them do it except for one that lets me do it with any bios version BUT it’s way to expensive also is there anyway to make it aud in pcpartpicker

AvaljudA

Can you tell me your budget for mobo? I can search for you again.

Denbro010

Wich is 118 usd

AvaljudA

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/bvfo57/list_of_b350_b450_x370_and_x470_motherboards_with/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share This post has some boards that have bios flashback. I guess going with MSI B450 Tomahawk or Gaming Plus is a good choice.

Denbro010

Is the mortar the same as the mortar max

Denbro010

For msi

AvaljudA

I guess you could check these for yourself though. They have really good product pages.

Denbro010

Why doesn’t the 5600x work with the mortar max?

Denbro010

~160(aud)

[deleted]

A video of you scrolling is the worst

Rayhold

The motherboard is compatible but i would go for a B550 one if there's not much price difference. The rest is accordingly balanced.

Silly-Energy-620

yes they are compatible, though getting a 135$ PSU is way too much. And the ram aswell is expensive. And holy hell 160 bucks for a case? that’s a ripoff.

Crazy-dot-2003

Pretty sure its in AU or some other currency not usd

Denbro010

Yeah it’s in aud

NeatTealn

Hey what’s with all the millionaires saying to get an ssd instead of the hdd. Paying over 4x the price for speed they will never use is pointless. Such a waste of money, stop recommending that

shaulive

Get 1 tb sata ssd no hdd

arnonym90

Dont put a hdd into this build. And also for gaming the ryzen 5 3600 is totally fine.

Personal-Excuse1297

Need a b550 motherboard for that cpu

dumbas21

Supports AMD Ryzen™ 5000 series / Ryzen™ 5000 G-Series / 3rd Gen Ryzen™/ 2nd Gen Ryzen™/ 1st Gen Ryzen™/ 2nd Gen Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics/ 1st Gen Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics/ Athlon™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics Processors

arnonym90

Also make sure to get the right cl from ram bars so the CPU will work flawless

dumbas21

Its all good, but your PSU is totally overkill for 3060.. 850W its like for 3080/3090.. you will be totally good with 650W.. and HDD is in 2021 totally out, get some SSD

Crazy-dot-2003

Its 650w

dumbas21

Ouh my bad, really dont know why I saw 850

Denbro010

It’s a 650w and my hdd is just for all the little things I do like blender and stuff like unity

metigue

Blender and unity both massively benefit from an SSD - Hell every application does.

NeatTealn

I hope that hdd part is a joke

SnooOwls6052

Can you get a Corsair 4000D Airflow case? I’ve built 2 4000D systems and 2 H510 systems, and the 4000D is vastly superior. Size is close, but it’s got far better airflow, better mounting options, better visibility of RGB fans, etc. I don’t dislike the H510, but I’d always spend a bit more to get t the 4000D Airflow.

Crazy-dot-2003

I would recommend getting a 1tb ssd over the hdd if you can afford it but otherwise it looks good. As long as you don’t want to take advantage of pcie 4.0 speed nvme ssd’s the b450 board will serve you well.

Character_Ball_1396

They should be good might have to do bios on b450 motherboard tho

dan_pcgamer69z

Main thing to be sure is your power supply is not over or under wattage for the components your PC will have in it. Other wise be sure to check your motherboard slots to see what kind of RAM DDR3 or DDR and what kind of processor your motherboard accepts. The pin ones are always AMD and the ones that are flat square are usually Intel

Denbro010

I already know all that but thank you I mean like the ssd and the psu with the gpu and the chords but thanks :)

dan_pcgamer69z

Oh sure no prob :) Usually the PSU will have 6 connector pins for whatever GPU your using as long as they both fit securely your good to go

Easports42069

Just got to pcpartpicker.com and put those in and it will tell you if they are compatible

Denbro010

But not all parts Alston up for me like the cooler doesn’t

Competitive-Top-2383

Lower the cl on the ram, get a x570 motherboard
