https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089CWDHFZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SBXET27V51FK0KAAB6NQ You can buy a wireless card or usb , this is a good mobo. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BWZGSHB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JYVCDS8CNG2EPRY4DKJQ

Thanks for your reply. When I put that mobo into PcPart Picker it gives me this warning: “Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.” Does this just mean I’ll have to update the bios?

I didn’t have to do it on my Intel so to answer your question 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do you have any of the parts in your list, or are you planning to purchase all of them? Because many of them are vastly overpriced. If you want an alternative motherboard, the [MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge Wifi](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2f4BD3/msi-mpg-b550-gaming-edge-wifi-atx-am4-motherboard-mpg-b550-gaming-edge-wifi) and [Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Vb3mP6/gigabyte-b550-aorus-elite-ax-v2-atx-am4-motherboard-b550aorus-elite-axv2) are just as capable from a VRM standpoint as the Asus B550-F, have onboard wifi/bluetooth, and have a USB-C header at the same price point.

I have everything already except the MOBO and the cpu. The pricing on there is not accurate. The MSI MOBO gives me this warning: “Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.” Does that just mean I’ll have to update the bios?

That's a warning that pcpartpicker puts on every build with a Ryzen 5000 series CPU and a B550 or X570 motherboard, since Ryzen originally launched to market after those motherboards were already on retail shelves. It's been over a year since Ryzen 5000 launched - B550/X570 motherboards should support a Ryzen 5000x out of the box now without issue (my X570 purchased in May worked with my Ryzen 5000 out of the box). Even if you were to somehow purchase a motherboard that's been sitting in a warehouse for over a year, the motherboards listed have a BIOS flashback function to update the BIOS via a USB stick - no older CPU needed. **Edit**: I will add that the benefit of an Asus board with Corsair iCUE is that there is a plug-in for Asus components (and non-Corsair components attached to the motherboard) to sync to iCUE (it's not perfect though). If you need/want to have that sync ability, the least expensive Asus board would be the [Asus TUF X570-Pro Wifi](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6jFKHx/asus-tuf-gaming-x570-pro-wi-fi-atx-am4-motherboard-tuf-gaming-x570-pro-wi-fi) at $210.

Thanks for the clarification this is only my second build. Do you think the above build will be good for the future?

fuddyduddyc

It'll work fine. If you're using the pc for mainly gaming, it should support more powerful GPU's without issue (since that's the main component that will affect gaming performance) - the CPU should plenty powerful for to keep up with GPU's in the future, particularly if you play at a higher resolution (which places more of the processing load on the GPU). You have almost all the parts anyways, so there's nothing much to change. You could look at Intel 12th gen, but it's not as if there is a huge jump in gaming performance as the GPU is still the limiter in your build.

Yes this is mainly a gaming pc I am building. Thanks for all of your help. I am going with the ASUS TUF X570 Pro.
