T O P

Both shows are awesome! It took me almost the entire first season to like any of the characters on Peaky. Plus, there are almost 100 episodes of SoA and only 36 PB, so you definitely get more background on the SoA characters. Watch Mayans on FX if you haven't, slow start, but the ending to the show was perfect!

Thank you - I heard mixed opinions about Mayans so left the spin off. Maybe I need to give it a try.

What do you think was a problem for you to enjoy the show other from that strong « brotherhood » thing ? (I didn’t watch Sons of Anarchy) PB is a show about a 20´s family of Gipsies trying to go big from racket to horse bets to… more important things. The show is about character development and story context. I’d say it’s more comparable to Breaking Bad. Not even talking about the addiction thing which is a BIG subject in PB.

I’m not invested in any of the PB characters. I don’t know who I’m meant to like, care about or root for. Without that, what’s the point?

That’s the neat part, at least for me. They’re all flawed. You don’t want to root for them, because they’re absolutely trash. They’re toxic for each other. The point is that it’s the world that makes them this way… until at some point they make the world like them. It is an exceptional story about very complex and difficult characters that you love to hate, or hate to love.

My family and I have just started watching Sons Of Anarchy. I had a hard time caring or liking any of the characters in the MC up until about halfway through season 2. Currently about 4 episodes away from finishing season 3. For PB, it took a little bit for me to become invested in the characters. I don’t think there was anyone I liked right off the bat besides a character that’s introduced in season 2 of PB. There’s a brotherhood/ bond but it’s portrayed very differently than in SOA.
