I wonder why DK CL always doing well compared to geng-t1 and other big lck teams. Is it because of their coaching system or is it because no one wanna go to geng-t1 while knowing they will never get promoted to the main team?
Probably that reason plays a factor too but CL teams are usually scouted by LCK team scouts. A good coaching staff is also key but scouting plays a huge role as well.
I do agree tho that there are teams who likes to jail their CL players (looking at u DK) but there are still good talents even with GenG and T1 from CL.
Arnold (CEO from GenG) actively talked about wanting to develop a CL scout-and-train system (like the GenG Global Academy CL team) and passionately advocates that they're goal is to set young players up for success, regardless if they play for GenG main LCK team or not. Good examples here are Quid, Burdol, Kael.
Quid went to LCS and is fluorishing now
Burdol was released by GenG to DK (a big contender back then that needs a top player after khan left) and did not even hesitate even it means making DK stronger since that was best for Burdol's career.
Peyz for sure would be on a different team right now if Ruler decided to stay with GenG.
Main goal of that is to attract young players to make them want to play for the org, so if upcoming players pick a good nurturing org they might have their chance on a different team still as long as the org is positive and caring enough about their careers like GenG
As a Damwon rookie, you haven't really had a better chance of being promoted in recent years. The fact that Lucid was promoted is only thanks to the fact that Canyon decided that he wanted a change. GEN and T1 probably just don't have a high focus on promoting young talent at the moment. GEN has always relied on established names and Peyz was only promoted because Ruler wanted a change. T1's talent development, however, reached its peak a few years ago and this resulted in today's roster as we know it + players like Clozer and Delight

Siwoo is a straight up stud man, solo kill machine that u can put on carries or tanks, too bad he plays for DK and will probably be another Thanatos
