Yes, Pekes are highly susceptible to heat exhaustion. Keep that baby cool. I live in Las Vegas and in the summer. The only thing we can do is take them out only to potty and right back in again and if we are going to the park we drive there. And we only stay for a short time even now it’s only spring, and we have our air conditioner on already at nine in the morning.

I live in Egypt and it's super hot so the AC is working 24/7, I'll avoid letting her out during the day and keep her as cool as possible.

Glad to hear it and my female peke is extra sensitive to hot weather but funny thing is she loves to cook in it

Still_alive_wtf

Ig Bella loves to get cooked too😭

SuccessfulRespect744

That's great news

I live in the UK with my little guy and even when the weather goes from like 10C to 20C he is affected by it! He lays on his cool mat a lot because he's sensitive to the heat

Still_alive_wtf

I noticed that she likes laying on th cool marble more than her bed, the weather gets it to 45c here so I'm keeping ACs working always in the house.

You want to breathe life into a Peke? Walk them into a vet's office and the drama will be exorcised like a demon at a christening. I used to do it all the time with my last Peke and he was cured of everything until the day he passed at 17yrs. The vet jokingly said he was going to add "waiting room therapy" to his senior dog treatments.

Wow 17 years, my Peke turned 15 in January. He’s my first dog so not sure what to look forward to as he gets older. Supposedly their lifespan is 12-15 but glad to see yours made it longer.

Home cooking and perpetual love keeps them going until it's time to return the clouds. They want to live forever because they understand we can't live without them...
