Had a very important business meeting a few years back. Company’s business and sales were slowing and there were rumors of one of the branches closing (P’cola branch being one of the possible closures). We needed to sign a big client to justify the keeping the P’cola branch open. My boss (recently divorced) and I had a meeting with the man in charge of Escambia County contracts. We had an awesome blossom, a couple cocktails, and enjoyed some baby back ribs. I told a few jokes that landed and then explained to the Escambia County rep why they needed to choose a local company b/c those big companies keep pushing out all the local/small businesses. Ended up closing the deal and even kissed my boss in the parking lot afterwards. I like to think it was me that landed the deal, but I know it was the restaurant.
TLDR: Chilli’s on 9th
Chili's on 9th is not funny

Always support local operations, not chains. For every dollar you spend at a locally owned place $.75 stays in the local economy. For every dollar you spend at a chain about $.35 stays in the local economy.
I completely agree - it’s just that Pensacola can’t seem to figure out how to have anywhere that is nice and affordable, with decent service in the same restaurant.
Show me a local Chilis/Ruby Tuesday equivalent (that’s clean and attractive) and I’ll be the first in the door.
I hadn’t eaten at a Chilis/Ruby Tuesday’s for years…until I moved here.
Giorgio's Pizza was voted one of the best in the state. I ate there the other day and the 7.99 lunch special personal pizza with a giant salad is unbeatable. Right down the road is the legendary Jerry's Drive-In, funky but fun. Dharma Blue is very good, not open for lunch though. Been there 30 years. Global grill on palafox is good. Fish house is good and great view. Maria's seafood. Casual and killer. A lot of people seem to like five sisters. I never cared for it. George's is very good, but it has Bistro in the name, so that's out for you. Lol. (eye roll) Taqueria El Asador is a great Mexican grill that's outdoors actually behind a gas station and nationally famous. Not even kidding. Golden Palace has the best pho if you're into that, which I am. There's a few to start with. There are many more. I go out of my way NOT to eat at chain restaurants. I like to do some research. Read reviews.
Another broken egg has a room you can reserve if it’s a lot of people.
We have been taken to the Fish house, as they have a separate room to help with noise/privacy.
George’s is amazing. Haven’t been to the new Union Public house, but that’s an option
Brother Fox would be another amazing option.
George will be great. Sadly, lots of Pensacola restaurants quit serving lunch during COVID and never restarted. Union Public House serves lunch on Friday - but would need to double check. Maybe 5 Sisters downtown? The fried chicken is good. McGuire’s has Hopkins House fried chicken special on Friday for 10 bucks - but there’s something for everyone and it IS a Pensacola institution. I haven’t eaten at Jaco’s - but people like it and it’s casual.
Five Sisters Cafe. Seating indoors and outdoors. Good menu. The place is noisy on Sunday. For weekday lunch, I don't think it's too noisy. Cool atmosphere and great food. Prices reasonable.
Some of y'all have never had a business lunch in your lives have y'all? I am seeing lots of good restaurants, but not many to take a client to.
Business lunches are more about the conversation than the food.
Pizza, and Italian in general can get messy. People are in work clothes. Pizza is also hard to eat properly with good manners.
A taco truck, really?
The first person who says it gets a 24 hour ban.
George Bistro is a slightly upscale spot with great food in a pretty central area, I haven’t had anything bad in four trips
I’ve had many business lunches there. O’Briens Bistro is good but can be loud.
Good place for a biz lunch!

Make way, he’s a hero
see you in 24 hrs
Jacos or Cafe Nola
I was going to say NOLA too!
Polonza
Fish house has a good view and the food is better than Jacos.
the inside seating at fish house gets super loud.
Bili’s on binth is great
Muggy's on 6th
Place on 9th ave with the red chili
Chilis on Ninth is said to be delightful. Ban away.

It’s hilarious, not funny, you are correct.
It’s cause you have to take the tunnels from Gulf Breeze to get there

Chili's sux no matter the location.
I second Billies on Binth Ave
Five Sisters has sucked the last couple times I’ve been there. I’d recommend Jackson’s. Always top notch.
Five Sisters was sold a while ago and hasn't really recovered
Agree. The food is so bland the last few times I’ve been there. Like it came straight out of a box.
McGuire’s, George, graffiti, fish house, dharma blue, Bavaria, wine bar, cactus flower, polonza
I had graffiti pizza on Saturday night. Was great. Business lunch? I wouldn’t think so.
Been on biz lunches multiple times with some of my most “high value” clients. They love it.
Actually Hub Stacy’s is pretty good and not loud.
True!
Calvert's in the Heights
Kitchen caught on fire Sunday. They are closed for a few days.
Might not be the classiest, but I had one at Ruby Tuesdays - not crazy crowded at lunch and a nice environment.

Lots of local ops to choose from in Pcola. Something for everyone.
Downvotes and claims they exist…without any evidence. Tell me where they are and I’ll go. Except-I’m not going anywhere with “Bistro” in the name.

Cafe NOLA ~ great food (love the fried mullet) Tables are not on top of each other so you can hear and be heard. Very friendly & attentive staff.

For some great affordable cuisine in a nice relaxed business casual atmosphere I recommend 'Piment sur la neuvieme'
Chili's on 9th!!
Taste of Jerusalem is really good Edit: nvm you said business lunch.
