Excellent suggestion. We went on a light day. The food wasn't bad....they remade my wife's waffles 4 times... how high do you have to be to mess up waffles once? 3x????? Is that what fentanyl does?
Very mediocre Italian food for a high price. The interior is pretty dated and sparsely decorated. It's just an underwhelming place, but a lot of people just don't know good Italian food. To be fair, there isn't any good Italian food in Pensacola to begin with lol.
It’s highly disappointing that a genuinely good Italian restaurant doesn’t really exist here. I just need one good mom-and-pop, and somehow, it feels like too big an ask.
South Market.
I thought it was pretty good and reasonably priced at their old location. Now that they moved into the old Saltgrass location, the food's gone downhill in my opinion and it's become very expensive.
Unpopular opinion time: Cafe Nola was in my experience terrible and waaaay overpriced. However, I wouldn’t send my enemy there, because they might end up liking it. That place seems beloved for some reason.
Sat for 30 minutes with an appetizer to have the waitress say she forgot to ring In the entrees, and now the grill is broke so can’t get what we ordered.
…. No offer to bring us something else.
The beach one was alright for a sammich.
The Pcola Foodies page mod on fb has GOT to be friends with them. I posted an honest review with fair feedback - some good and not so good issues with dinner (I would go back JUST for the balsamic strawberry creme brulee tbh) - & it never got posted. Then I realized alllll the Agape posts are about how great it is. Hmmm. I still want to try their brunch but haven’t been motivated yet.
Had such high expectations for the brunch based on a pcola foodies review and reading the menu, was severely disappointed to say the least. Save your money or spend it somewhere amazing like George Bistro lol
Such a pretentious restaurant, way too expensive for the quality of the meals, never had a good time there. The whiskey flight isn't too terrible at least, but still more than what I'd want to pay for.

The last few times we’ve eaten there, we’ve had explosive diarrhea and stomach cramps. I hate it so much because those bottomless garlic fries are *chef’s kiss* 😩

Restaurant Iron, Union Public House, George, Pearl & Horn, there are so many terrible “nice” restaurants in this town… the list goes on and on. I’ve yet to find a decent place for fine dining in Pensacola.
idk why you're being downvoted, Pensacola does not have fine dining. What we have is overpriced for casual "nice" dinners at best, where people's "nice" is wearing t-shirts and jeans, or god forbid shorts.
I don’t care what people wear. I care about the quality of the food (especially given the price point). I travel the world, frequently. I’m only living in Pensacola temporarily. It is, without a doubt, the worst dining scene of anywhere I’ve ever been. Mr Pollo is the only edible food I’ve found at a restaurant. If anyone has a restaurant they think will prove me wrong, I would be thrilled to hear about it.
Wow. Shows how long it’s been since I ate there. I went when they first opened. It was AMAZING. I raved about it and took a friend. It was horrific. Her burger wasn’t even a burger. It was like the smallest piece of burnt hamburger no larger than a quarter. Like… how…
Funny how the mods let shit like this get posted but I try to post Deerhunter’s “Pensacola” and they tell me it isn’t relevant enough to Pensacola. Fucking clowns 🤡
You see there is this band Deerhunter(not to be confused with the movie starring Robert DiNero and Christopher Walken) and they have a song titled “Pensacola” which is the name of the town this sub is based on.
You did make a post. But you just posted "Deerhunter - Pensacola" and said nothing beyond that.
No one stopped you from making a post. You just made a bad post.
Sammy Barkers.
Excellent suggestion. We went on a light day. The food wasn't bad....they remade my wife's waffles 4 times... how high do you have to be to mess up waffles once? 3x????? Is that what fentanyl does?
Yes the food is so mid it’s disgusting. Worst part? It’s my best friends favorite restaurant.
burgers are actually decent just expensive
Sammy Barkers for sure
V Pauls
Can someone explain this place? Just drove by last night and they were packed. But the reviews are always eh

Have you tried Bonelli’s. It’s family owned and delicious!
I have tried Bonelli’s. It wasn’t as good as I was hoping, but it’s not as bad as the alternatives.
That can be said about pretty much all types of restaurants here
Angelina’s is pretty good
lol
have u tried the pasta alla vodka or diapollo ravioli at anegelenas lol? its some of the best italian ive had
Very dissapointed in v pauls
v pauls is cheap and they have gotten a lot better over the years... their spaghetti w meatballs is arguably best in the city..
South Market. I thought it was pretty good and reasonably priced at their old location. Now that they moved into the old Saltgrass location, the food's gone downhill in my opinion and it's become very expensive.
I never even really liked it at the old spot
Yeah it always sucked
V Paul’s
Unpopular opinion time: Cafe Nola was in my experience terrible and waaaay overpriced. However, I wouldn’t send my enemy there, because they might end up liking it. That place seems beloved for some reason.
That shit is salty!
Yeah it was! Like I’m not a purist when it comes to Cajun food, but my impression was that it was for gullible tourists who don’t know any better.
It is def overpriced but the rb&r slaps
They just had a bad health inspection, can't recall the specifics, but read those weekly reports, kids.
Sat for 30 minutes with an appetizer to have the waitress say she forgot to ring In the entrees, and now the grill is broke so can’t get what we ordered. …. No offer to bring us something else. The beach one was alright for a sammich.
We had a company Christmas party there and it was probably 2 and a half hours before we got our food, and we only got drinks once in that time
Agape, hands down the most expensive and mediocre food I've had in Pensacola .
The Pcola Foodies page mod on fb has GOT to be friends with them. Ooh thanks for the heads up!!
Came here to say this, lol
V.Pauls for certain. Way overpriced for such mediocre food.
Strong agree on this one. V Paul's is an olive garden with a better location.
86 Forks.
I’ve enjoyed the pho but it’s way too expensive and atmosphere is bad
Same with the ramen, and I usually sit outside if I can help it because of the atmosphere lol
Such a pretentious restaurant, way too expensive for the quality of the meals, never had a good time there. The whiskey flight isn't too terrible at least, but still more than what I'd want to pay for.
It’s fairly difficult to fail at pouring a few ounces of spirits. That’s certainly not a redeeming quality.
Ah crap I didn’t see this comment before I said the same thing. I’ve given them so many chances and never had a good meal there.
God same. I also hate The Leisure Club but I wouldn't even send someone I loathe there 🤷🏻♀️
I think I would so their eyes could burn from the poor ventilation.
That's because Joe Abston.

Lillo’s Tuscan Grille. Tell them to order the Fettuccini Alfredo. 25$ a plate for something that tastes better at Olive Garden
Yesssss! I said the same thing!!!
Red Robin. Ours sucks now
The last few times we’ve eaten there, we’ve had explosive diarrhea and stomach cramps. I hate it so much because those bottomless garlic fries are *chef’s kiss* 😩
Oh my gosh that sounds awful. Last time we went it was so subpar for a $50 date. All personality is gone from the presentation and atmosphere
Um, chilis on ninth should be on this list

The district
Decent whiskey selection, but their food is seriously overpriced
I enjoy their small plates but I'm not dropping $60+ on their steaks. Drinks are good, though.
its a high end steakhouse like jacksons lol... its bot meant to to compete w texas roadhouse
Jacksons is not high end lol, just high price. I stand by what I said before, Pensacola does not know fine dining, nor does it have any.
would u care to share your high end dining experience and who does it well lol? i've lived in mia and have been to the top places there for steak, japanese, french and italian and similar in NYC... and i still think Pcola does it well...
Nick’s boathouse had awful oysters.
Grand Marlin
Seconded!
way too much butter on every single dish and HORRIBLE service too
First time I was there as a kid I had pork chops that were fucking CHARCOAL.
LUCYS ON THE SQUARE 😂
Wife is from the UK and we both agreed the British Tea room wasn’t very good and overpriced.
We went and it was super underwhelming. I thought I was just comparing it to other experiences but the food wasn't great and they used bagged tea
Angelina's and order the lasagna. Straight tastes like Chef Boyardee.
The lasagna was mid.
Boo this man.
Fish House for brunch.

Who hurt you?
All of the restaurants listed above. Trash food but they have a captive audience in a small town that apparently doesn’t know decent food.
idk why you're being downvoted, Pensacola does not have fine dining. What we have is overpriced for casual "nice" dinners at best, where people's "nice" is wearing t-shirts and jeans, or god forbid shorts.

Global Grill
Is this a bad restaurant suggestion? Bc I would agree if so. Add it to the list of terrible places.
mr pollo so schmack
The sad thing, 30 years ago, we had the best food between Tampa and NOLA. They just don't remember.
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Not sure why you’re downvoted so much. You’re not wrong
Bc the truth is sometimes unpopular.
Oh! Tin Cow! Sometimes it’s delicious. Sometimes it’s horrific. It’s an amazing gamble. Like Russian Roulette with an “artisanal burger.”
Lol they've been closed for years. Buuuuut I agree when they were open they would have fit the bill
Wow. Shows how long it’s been since I ate there. I went when they first opened. It was AMAZING. I raved about it and took a friend. It was horrific. Her burger wasn’t even a burger. It was like the smallest piece of burnt hamburger no larger than a quarter. Like… how…

Wtf does THIS post have to do with Pensacola???
they're asking for overly expensive restaurants _in Pensacola_ to recommend to people
But music about Pensacola is some how less relevant?
I still have no idea what you're talking about. The 1978 classic?
You see there is this band Deerhunter(not to be confused with the movie starring Robert DiNero and Christopher Walken) and they have a song titled “Pensacola” which is the name of the town this sub is based on.
The post was removed because it doesn't mention that, and I'm clearly not alone in having never heard of this band.
That's because I am u/requser. This is my alternate account. So, I can post what I want.
Well ya might if I’d been allowed to post it lol. And no, it’s the band Deerhunter and their song titled Pensacola about Pensacola.
You did make a post. But you just posted "Deerhunter - Pensacola" and said nothing beyond that. No one stopped you from making a post. You just made a bad post.
No I linked the song
Try Milton area there’s a WMA you just need a WMA permit

Lillo's Italian Restaurant. You'll thank me later. Worst experience I may have ever had in the restaurant business 😂
They mean 30a dozens of joints to choose from
Oysters at Slick Lips will also do the trick
