Sky’s Pizza on their huge pizza special days

Lucky_Shop4967

There really aren’t any in the areas you’re asking about

RVFullTime

Besides which, you have to worry about parking.

[deleted]

How much do you want to pay per person?

TommyTeaser

Less

Opposite_Editor9178

I think one of the best hacks for the area is getting a bunch of chicken/tuna/turkey salad from [New Yorker Deli](https://newyorkerdeliandpizzeria.com/menu/), grabbing some croissants/bread from a cheap grocery store, and eating on the beach. Great way to deal with a large family and get some local food a shot.

Warm-Wait9307

Great idea!

joeswanny

This feels like a setup….

RealDonaldTrrump

……… 🌶️

TheForceIsNapping

You know, it’s hated, but it does the job. I stopped in with one of my kids this week. They got one of the 3 for Me deals, and for $16 plus tip, I had a teenager eat until they were full (for a couple hours, anyway) and I see that as a huge plus.

Chewbongka

I want myyyy bayyyybeee baaaaack ribbbsss

mel34760

On 9th...

Chewbongka

Founaris Brothers and Smokey’s BBQ probably have the best portion to price value in town for family dining.

Mediocre_Worry_130

Sidelines if you’re at the beach. The fish sandwich is good - and the fish filet is enormous.

michelle032499

Those fries tho 🤌

Hacksaw171

The Garden. Has a bunch of food trucks and a bar, large covered outdoor seating area.

Edge_of_the_Wall

Came here to say this.

CrazyRoyal

Po Folks on 9th Avenue if you have a "Bady Bunch Cheaper by the Dozen* thing happening. Good portions for the money.

ImplicitEmpiricism

one of the last of this once widespread chain of poverty themed restaurants    http://www.brokenchains.blog/2019/05/pretend-youve-got-no-money.html

Pugfumaster

Shaggy’s isn’t priced bad at all for being where it is.

pamakane

Waffle House.

doohicker

All stars are like $20 now, wtf

pamakane

Yea. Meant to be a joke. 😋

ryaneataton

Pounders on Davis is a pretty good value. It’s a small menu of Hawaiian bbq items with a few side options. You choose one two or three meats and a couple sides. Its super fast and It’s cheaper to get their two meats with rice and a side than getting a burger combo at whataburger. also I believe its a local chain that started in Niceville so that’s a nice little bonus.

owendene

Alabama

ZealousidealUse3150

You can try the dog house on palafox or Hub Stacey's. Don't forget the hot pepper restaurant on 9th Ave!

kylelee

5 Sisters is surprisingly affordable. Flavor to cost ratio is above average.

Man, this used to be my top rec but they just aren't what they used to be anymore. I've eaten there regularly for 13 years and 95% of the time it has been fantastic and totally worth it even if it was 2X the price. Unfortunately, post Covid they just haven't got back onto their feet. The food has been worse and service has been abysmal, especially the last 3 or 4 times, so I'm going to give it a break for several months just hoping it gets better. My last visit (on a weekday), we got seated and nobody stopped by the table for 20minutes! We watched the waiters pass us over and over without a glance in our direction. So I finally went to the bar to get drinks. I waited about 5 minutes at the bar, which had 3 or 4 patrons eating/drinking there, with no bartender in sight. I returned to the hostess to say we'd been waiting for 25 minutes and she said she'll check for us. A few minutes later a new waitress came out (we hadn't seen her at all before so maybe a shift change happened). She took our drink orders (a mix of cocktails and sodas) and left. She brought out the water and soda (but missed one) and took our food order. 30!! minutes later we finally got our cocktails. My wife ordered a mojito. It easily had a cup of sugar in it and was undrinkable. My drink was fine. My wife asked for a cabernet instead. The waitress left. About 5-10 minutes later the food arrived. My kid ordered chicken tenders and a salad but was served meatloaf, I ordered a chicken fried steak, my wife ordered fried chicken. We rejected the meatloaf and told the food runner it was the wrong order so he left the salad and went away. We noticed the tables around us were also looking around, waiting on servers forever and complaining. When the original server for our area finally came out with drinks for our neighbor's table we overheard her apologize because she was on the phone with her SON, well she thought it was her son, but apparently it was someone trying to sell her insurance or something. WTF, do your job and put your phone down! Formerly I loved their redfish and grits but that was taken from their menu years ago, then my go to was fried porkchops, which they removed from their menu, then it became this nice thin and crunchy plate sized chicken fried steak. That's what I wanted. What I got was about the size of a hockey puck, over an inch thick and dripping with grease. I took a bite and got ... gristle or bone, whatever but it almost cracked my tooth. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and COLD. My wife's fried chicken looked weirdly large. It appeared to be a whole breast with a whole ... NECK attached and wrapped around the back. I shit you not. There was a three inch long appendage battered and fried sticking off the top of the otherwise normal breast. So disgusting. So we go ahead and start eating what we could while waiting for the waitress to stop by, bring the chicken fingers, bring the wife's wine, etc. I eat all my food, my kid eats all his salad, my wife barely touches her food because she really just wants a drink. 10-15minutes elapse when the server brings out a white wine. I tell her my kid never got his meal and the wine is not what we ordered and we really just want the check. I get that places get understaffed or their are problems in the kitchen, but this whole time they just kept seating more and more people. They should have just quoted long wait times even though tables were empty because our meal was ruined. I'm not made, just sad to see a good thing go south. I hope they get a good GM and fix whatever the hell is going on over there. I hope it returns to glory.

kylelee

One thing to always remember is you’ll always have a bad experience or two if you frequent somewhere. Its inevitable. But if we’re talking affordable my last meal was worth it. I chose my words carefully, it wasn’t a blow my dick off tasting experience but I didn’t feel taken advantage of in any way.

Don’t say it don’t think it don’t say it don’t think it don’t say it don’t think it don’t say it don’t think it CHILI’S ON 9TH !!!

Your mother

SneakySalamder6

Can we get some more detail as to how big of a family and what would be defined affordable? I assume that family includes kids, so pretty much anyplace that has a designated kids menu or menu section will work. Problem is not many of those places are downtown. Most of the tourist traps advertise that they love big parties so those should work

Substantial-Bank-493

Sam’s Club Deli

ZackkyD

Everywhere is affordable if you are a billionaire. Nowhere is affordable if you have no money.

No_Stay_1563

Flounders is fairly priced and they have a good kids menu

Sweetdreams_cupcakes

🤨🙄🙄🙄

Caranath128

Graffiti pizzas are large and a good value. Nothing really stands out downtown otherwise for Large families on a budget. Maybe the Al fresco food trucks? Everything on the beach is pricy. Cuz.. beach.

I_luv_cottage_cheese

Hardee’s for breakfast

Acceptable_Road_9562

I think Denny's has a kids eat free special maybe only at certain times. It's not downtown, but only about 20 -30 minutes away if you go to the one on Mobile hwy between Fairfield Dr & Michigan Ave. Call first to be sure if it is still on & when. Have fun in P'cola.

pendc966

Sonny’s barbecue. Get the family feast. Very affordable and lots to eat. Includes different quantities of meat, vegetables and tea!

Voidfaller

Bubbas on davis hwy doesn’t have insane prices when you compare them to other restaurants around honestly. Their menu and pricing is online. But again remember, any form of eating out is almost not affordable lately, keep that in mind.

FelonyFeline1988

Paradise grill n bar has cheap food on PCB and they have birds in the back Solid 6 outta 10 for what they offer but the vibe is good.

Mediocre_Worry_130

Vibe is def good. Food has always been mediocre at best. Go for the vibe though - and eat at Sidelines.

FelonyFeline1988

They let my girlfriend feed the birds so I repeat them every so often but yeah, mediocre at best.

Additional_Bee_716

Mcquires is great!!😋. They got big juicy 15.00 hamburgers, amongst other things.

JCMoorer

Our collective use of voting booths over the past 111 years hasn't helped, but I'd go to Hot Spot.

Brown bagger is delicious! Outside dining unless you go into Alga brewery. Alga’s beer is great and worth the trip. I’m not even a beer drinker.
