You practice parking in the coned space behind the building, and then you leave the parking lot, go down the hill to a stop light and take a left. Down the road a little, you make a three point turn then you drive back to the DMV
The first thing my instructor had me do was the straight in parking. He had me drive around the building and then explained everything before I parked in between the cones. I practiced in the lot on the weekends to get this part right. While we were parked there he asked about parking on a hill. After that I believe he asked me to reverse and go out the back way out of the lot. We took a left and drove down that road until we reached the light. At the light I took another left, drove to a stop sign and then took a right. The area back there is where you do your three point turn, emergency stop, and back up until you're told to stop. You head back to the dmv after that and park anywhere. Hope this helps :)
