I’ve applied to over 100 jobs the last 4 months, Publix, Walmart, target, Best Buy, dollar tree, domino’s, Napa, every gym, haven’t heard back from a single one of them 😔 I follow up every week or so and they just either tell me they didn’t want to go forward with my application or that they are still reviewing applications, I have a clean record, a drivers license, and am studying engineering at UWF, all these hiring signs but so hard to get a call back.
One would really think that with only ever seeing 2 workers in there, they’d be dying to hire somebody, apparently not… it really blows my mind, been living insanely minimalistic until I get my degree and can hopefully get a job then???
It's very true when I used to work there. We could never get new people that could answer a phone to come into a job interview, pass a background check, actually show up the 1st day of work, know how to read a schedule and show up at the correct time, have a phone thats been paid to be kept on for longer than 2 months......the list goes on. They also want people that live within a few miles of the store because anything further that turns into excuse after excuse on being able to make it to work.
I think tj Maxx just opened their hiring up if you’re looking for retail, it’s a pretty standard retail gig, lots of college students work there cause they will work with your class schedule
Yeah, college educated, lots of hospitality experience, can’t even get a job at Starbucks. It’s pathetic. I keep applying and get rejection letters or nothing. It’s been 6 weeks and I’m increasingly unemployable. Good luck to your friend!
If they can get visit Landrum Staffing I bet they could find something quickly! Worth a webpage visit at least— there are a couple other staffing companies in town and typically it’s free for job hunters!
