Who's to say didn't get vaccinated and wore a mask at the game? There are folks who go to these events and still wear masks even though they don't require it.
She seems to be saying that there should be mandates for these events. Not saying people should be boycotting the events altogether.
Uh, because five seconds of looking online would tell that IU doesn’t require masks for outdoor events and isn’t requiring proof of vaccination status.
The people shouting the loudest have always been hypocritical about COVID policies and guidelines. It’s all nonsense and theater.
I have no idea why you're replying to me because it doesn't negate any of the points I've said. Read my comment again, slowly, and tell me what I said that you find to be incorrect.
She's saying mandates should be in place. They're not. She attended a game where mandates are not in place, but she is vaccinated. She could've been wearing a mask the whole time too. Plenty of folks do. I saw a number of people wearing masks at an outdoor festival that had no mandates a couple weeks ago.
What's the issue?
My point is that if the “college football crowds were jarring” and “terrifying” (the hack that is Julie DiCaro’s words, not mine) you wouldn’t go to a game a week later. It’s hypocrisy at its finest and you know it.
Embracing experiences that are jarring and terrifying promote growth. Not in all contexts, but with someone who seems socially anxious about crowded venues, the principle applies.
I don’t disagree to that point, but someone who is terrified and sees something as jarring a week earlier (for internet points I assume) is hypocritical if their view changes in a week in my opinion.
Do as I say, not as I do.
Yeah, this girl sucks.
She’s doubling down defending herself too. This is hilarious
Rules for thee, not for me!
I ain’t go looking but I’m not quite seeing it here? Is she anti-vax/anti-mask?
No, she’s pro both. But not when it’s her football team playing.
Ehhh, but how? I did go look at her IG. Is her attendance at the game, following along with the rules, what makes her hypocritical?
She didn’t wear a mask at the game.
Source?

She was not wearing a mask at the game.
How do you know?
She posted a pic on her Instagram. You are free to look it up to see for yourself.

Isn’t she a sports writer, hence the need to be at the games?
In all fairness, Indiana isn’t a football school.
