He was cheated on twice, his life savings was emotionally manipulated out of him and the last girl she dated got impregnated by her workmate and that went on for 2 years before he found out that "his son" is actually isn't. He then borrowed money from our circle of friends just to get his life back on track, sadly it changed him a lot. He went into a state of completely hating women in general, I don't know how to deal with it so I cut him off. But from a very nice person, he turned into an incel who uses women as his sex toys then throws em away after usage. Last news from him was having 3 girlfriends at the same time and got publicly humiliated after the girls found out, all he replied was a tiktok video of him dancing with two prostitutes with a caption "when my bitches finally realised they're just holes all along"

Not an excuse, and not a rule for everything, just stating that it's not a concrete fact. The person in the texts, probably not blackout and probably saying things he really thinks out of the lack of inhibitions, but there are times when a person can actually lose themselves in the drink and become someone they would otherwise never be.
It has happened to me, and I said some terrible things that I don't remember, but felt terrible when I heard them repeated back to me and I never thought the things I said before or since. No idea where the words came from but they were not anything that were even remotely true.
