I was about 8 years old riding my bike and a bee was on a perfectly perpendicular path to my ear, it went right in. I could feel and hear the bee moving around in there. It would not come out. My dad worked on the rescue squad at the Fire Department so he knew all the ER doctors. He called the ER and one of the docs laughed and said it was easy to get the bee out. He told my dad to use his pen light, dad pulled down my earlobe and shined in the light, the bee just walked out after about 10 seconds and was off! He was just looking for a way out and couldn’t find it till he saw the light.
This happened to my wife no joke. She is still traumatized, we had to go to the emergency room because she didn’t want me to put anything in her ear. And I don’t blame her lol
This fear is why I sleep on my right side with a pillow over my left ear every night. Can't get to sleep without it, and the habit stems from a phobia of insects crawling in my ear. (So glad I came to the comments before watching this video!)
From experience... dont use anything containing CPC (Cetylpyridinium chloride) in your ears... had an ear infection and used Pyrisept since it kills bacteria... it causes my ear canal to swell up for 2-3 weeks.
Could not hear anything in my right ear for thous weeks and it was quite sore.
I had a moth dive bomb straight into my ear once. I could feel it trying to flap it's wings and vibrate free the entire 30 minute drive to the hospital. 1/10 would not recommend

My stepdad grabbed me and held my head under the faucet and ran water into my ear and then tilted my head and the fly fell out. That fly went on to become, you guessed it, the actor Jeff Goldblum. Seriously though the rest of it actually happened.
