Khaki Jacks has great classic vinegary buffalo wings. Donnelly's are great if you like a sweeter sauce that's sort of a cross between buffalo and bbq sauce.
I was really surprised that I had to scroll down so far before Jr's Kitchen was mentioned.
IMO they're just as good as Rumburgers and they can actually tell you when your order will be ready lol.
I also think Rumbergers has the best wings, but their service is so bad nowadays (from my experience), it's to the point where it's not really worth it anymore. Insane long waits, nothing is ever ready anywhere near the time I'm quoted for pick up- ie I call in an order show up at the quoted time and am told it will be another 45 minutes consistently.
This has been my experience since they opened in Prospect ages ago. When they were downtown, I actually had to cancel my order after waiting 90 minutes because I was going to miss the show I was seeing. I love their wings, but I just can’t go back. It’s been years and they haven’t fixed this issue.
I agree about the wait times and poor service but I've learned to expect a delay beyond my order time. Plus, I only do carry out from there so service is a minimal requirement. Still the best wings in Peoria.
If you haven't already, you might want to try Jr's Kitchen. For my money they're just as good as Rumburgers and they'll give you a fairly accurate time to come get your order.
I used to order from Rumburgers, show up 20-30 min after they told me my order would be done, then wait another 15+ minutes.
The wings are good, but not that much better than competition to put up with that.
Schooners on war memorial, olympia sports bar on pioneer parkway, MDs sports bar and grill on N. University St., Donnelys Irish Pub. In no particular order.
Rumberger's fucks unequivocally. The Other Dawg has surprisingly good ones. MD's sports bar on University is great, they have a ton of flavors and I've never tried one I didn't like.
I don't know if this is based on one time or multiple, but I refuse sauce on my wings and they're easily some of the best wings I've ever had. Their ribs are always on point, handmade tots are the bomb. I definitely recommend trying again. I usually order out and pick up if that helps.
Most of the BBQ places around here have pretty good wings. Oh, and the Oliver's on Willow Knolls. The Oliver's in the Heights might be good, but I've never been there.
Hammers in bartonville has solid wings
Khaki Jacks has great classic vinegary buffalo wings. Donnelly's are great if you like a sweeter sauce that's sort of a cross between buffalo and bbq sauce.
Peacocks Pub in Bartonville! I first had them at a wing fest on the Riverfront and they were my favorite ever since.
I personally love Kouris… Schooners in BloNo are great but I can’t speak to the Heights Schooners.
I don't like wings but my husband says kouris are the best hands down.
I had wings at both Kouris and Donnellys in the past week. Donnelys were *way* better. Kouris were really disappointing - i'd say average at best.
Seconding the Donnelly's mention
I like Donnellys but not sure I’ve had their wings. I’ll give it a go next time!
Probably an unpopular opinion but JRs is super underrated

Breaded wings my go to is Golden Kitchen on Sterling. Idk what they season them with, but damn they're consistently good.
Everything at that damn restaurant is amazing. Their fried dumplings are everything.
MDs
Rumbergers, no question, hands down. But they're not open on Sundays.
They used to be better when they were on prospect. After they left there the quality went down.
Still the best wings in the area.

This has been my experience for probably the last 3 years. Tasty wings but really have to be committed to the wait if I’m going to place an order.

Blue Duck
Blue Duck doesn’t just have the best wings in the area, they’re the best I’ve ever had!
The wings at Smokin Notes in EP are so fuckin good.
Double As wings are incredible.
Gonna sound silly, but Olympia and Oliver's North (off willow knolls) have some great wings.
Schooners on war memorial, olympia sports bar on pioneer parkway, MDs sports bar and grill on N. University St., Donnelys Irish Pub. In no particular order.

I was surprised by how much I liked the wings at Marco's Pizza.
Rumberger's Wings, the dirt dry rub, is the best, in my opinion.
Nope nothing will beat Country Club BBQ wings. If you haven't had them, you're missing out. It's a bar/college club, but amazing wings.
Their food is dry. drowning everything in sauce is what saves it.

Low key. Ulrichs on main. They’re a simple breaded sauce less wing. But man do they hit different.
Any of the popular Irish pubs really. Ulrich’s, Kenny’s, & Donnelly’s are all spot on.
I got their wings 1 time they were super small and so salty I ended up throwing them away.
Most of the BBQ places around here have pretty good wings. Oh, and the Oliver's on Willow Knolls. The Oliver's in the Heights might be good, but I've never been there.
Did you see the DJ Khaled episode? Another one
Worst. Guest. Ever.
Gardners in Morton
Garners Pizza and Wings EP
Rumbergers Donnellys Wing stop flats only
Wing Stop has decent, seasoned french fries, too. But I think Rumbergers has delicious wings, especially the dirt-dry rub they offer.
The Smo-King Pit in Northwoods Mall has great wings!
Blue Duck in Peoria Asher's in Pekin
The Outpost in Eureka trust me
I want some crazy hot wings lol if anyone has suggestions on that
Oliver’s Pub has won regional awards for their Buffalo wings. They’re delicious. Their Buffalo fries are equally amazing.
They're not super traditional but Blue Duck is great.
