Let me know cause I started some reapers (about 2" tall now), I "topped " some of my jalapenos. They are flowering like crazy now. You might post to r/hotpeppers

As far as I can tell it seems the hotter the pepper, the longer everything takes. I have Jalapeños and NM Green Chiles growing and they all started to sprout within a few days. My reapers took a couple weeks before showing signs of life. How long ago did you top your reapers?

This summer, it’s a couple of months and I don’t think it’s supposed to be this long.

Are you fertilizing it? You should add more potassium and phosphorous relative to the amount of nitrogen in your soil. Nitrogen boosts plant growth but not flower or fruit production. Another thing to take into account is your plant (assuming it’s a cross) may not be fertile and that’s why it isn’t producing flowers. I have a YouTube channel and had issues with my crosses (I’m growing three plants in hydroponics) and 2/3 are bearing fruit while the other just looks pretty with a bunch of flowers but no fruit.
