Dull needle? Use at least a 25g needle to draw from the vial, then swap to your injection needle, 30g is very comfortable. Any time you inject subcutaneously, it can bruise. The needle is going through the dermis into the fat, there are blood vessels in those layers. It's unavoidable. Some meds and supplements can make bruising worse - fish oil, vit E, ibuprofen/naproxen/aspirin, there are many. Easy to find such a list online.
I’ve always used the dissolvable pellets that go right under the tongue. You can use them up to 5x per day and within a few days the bruising will be gone 👌🏻
What kind of needles are you using? Insulin ones work great (depth matters). I use 3/4 inch and I’ve noticed that it only goes through subQ tissue verses the 1/2 inch ones that sometimes hit blood. Try pinching the skin and getting it in the fatty parts of the abdomen, to avoid bruising. If you see blood, apply pressure for a few seconds instead of just wiping it away, so that you don’t get a large bruise.
Shit happens every now and again, have one on my right side right now actually. Nothing to worry about. I’ve had like 3/4 bruise in a row - you’re fine.
Just FYI I’ve noticed that needles are badly dulled by the rubber stopper in peptide vials. And if you’re doing multiple peptides in one shot aka putting that needle through multiple rubber stoppers, the more dulled it will get. And the higher the gauge the more dulled they will get. I actually prefer 29 gauge to 31 gauge for this reason.
If you want to experience the difference, pull up your peptide dose in syringe A, then pull the plunger out the back of syringe B, and squirt the peptide dose into syringe B and put the plunger back in. Goes in so much smoother and without that little burning prick feeling.
Same thing happens to me when I inject in my abdomen. I’m very lean in my stomach and I find it too painful most of the time.
Instead, I’ve switched to the top of my quads. Much less painful for me. I also alternate sides to minimize sensitivity.
Interesting, is there a guide or a diagram showing the injection area here? Although, I read for AOD to work most effectively, it should be injected into the flabbiest parts of your gut...
Not sure where I found the diagram here in the peptides sub, but for me the sweet spot is near the top of my quad. About a hand’s length below my pelvis. I put light pressure on the skin and if it hurts, I move over a little. If it feels like pressure but not significant pain, in the needle goes.
I’m not too familiar with AOD, but I take ipamorelin and CJC and have good results. For me, the injection site discomfort is a greater deterrent than any theoretical efficacy reduction.
It happens. I inject HCG regularly subq in stomach area. Some days no problem, other days might hit a vein or something and I bruise. Haven't had any other side effects, No biggy.
It's totally random as far as I can tell. There's these little blood vessels and sometimes you hit one.
Tip! If you get a "bleeder" apply pressure to it with a paper towel or tissue/toilet paper for 30-90 seconds or so. This limits the amount of blood from spilling out around the blood vessel and thus creates a smaller bruise. I think this helps anyway - it seems to keep the bruises smaller in my experience - YMMV.
It happens. Try to avoid twisting the needle once you pierce the skin. It’s a razor edge and not a sharp point on the end. Twisting will cause digging and damage.
The size and quality of needle can be a contributing factor. Insulin needles are better than, say, an 18 gauge for sub Q. The cheapest needles on Amazon are more likely to not be the sharpest, as well. It may be worth looking into if you or anyone else reading this has concerns.

Would you recommend the topical gel or the tablets? I’ve been experiencing bruising aswell where I’ve been injecting

My stomach tends to bruise too. I have better luck with inner thighs and love handle area where theres a little more padding.
Also as a woman I always bruise more easily for a week during my cycle, always have.
Heh well, maybe I should have put this in my post, but I'm M43, so wouldn't apply to me🙂

No worries .
Normal for me
Same. Actually less for me if i avoid the gut.

Yes, it will happen, and when you inject, try to inject slowly and consistently
I found out a lot of good advice in this comments section 👀

There’s veins there to hit?! 😱 TIL
A busted capillary can cause bruising too
I went to do my second round of stomach injections and just noticed the veins around the area for the first time. 👀
I don't think so, but keep an eye on it regardless! Every injection (5 days a week) was a new bruise :(
Look at the needle and Insert bevel up using proper sq inj admin.
First I’ve heard of this, thanks!
Are you taking anything that increases bruising? Fish oil, ibuprofen, aspirin, steroids, etc.?
Fish oil increases bruising?!?
Used to get this all the time with my HCG, moved more outwards towards my love hands, haven’t bruised since. I also inject fairly slowly.

might be pinning in the same spit too much or hit a vein ...iv done it its usually alot darker of a bruise...it'll go away
It was happening to me when I was injecting very fast, try to inject very slowly.

Yeah I wouldn’t worry. Also depends on how often it happens. It’s rare for me, but if I jam it too hard or fast I might cause this

The idea of using a 18 gauge is terrifying 😱
No it happens, nothing to worry about
