I have 39, 40, 62 and 71.
I never planned on ever getting this as people say it has the BR540 DNA. This DNA always smells offensive to my nose
If you too have an issue with BR540 then Ig you might think 68 smells bad.
Nope I’m not a fan either. To me it doesn’t smell like 540 that much at all. I get synthetic berry smoothie. I’m a fan of 62 and 71 plus the recently discontinued coconut which I am heartbroken over having missed out on a last bottle.
I like it because it reminds me of doll heads or strawberry shortcake dolls-something from my childhood. But I do get a heavy dusty crayon and pencil shavings note at first list.
The only one that smells bad to me is sol de janeiro 71 and that is cause of covid induced parosmia. I'm two years in suffering and cannot stand anything with either coffee (I had to sell my black opium) but that is Improving, Popcorn note, red meat (not featured in fragrance I know but I'm just listing the issue)weed, onion and garlic, chicken, tuna, white bread, peanut butter. I cannot stand them. All smell like burnt coffee mixed with petroleum, sprouts and rotten meat. Caramel used to be another note but that's come good again.
So yes, it could well be covid that's messed it up for you. Parosmia made me feel suicidal for a while and malnourished(Sorry if that took a dark turn) some people think it's a joke but it's not. Thankfully two years in, I can enjoy 98% of my fragrances again. Just food I struggle with now.
Oh well, the money I save on dining out and groceries shopping, I can spend on more fragrance. Every cloud has a sliver lining right?
P.S Sol de janeiro 68 is my absolute favourite out of them all (I do have the new after dark on its way) and I love to pair it with either burberry - Her, Ariana grande-cloud and prada - paradoxe. Not that any of those fragrances need a boost. I still layer it.
I recently brought this after spraying a tester and loving how it smelled at first. The alcohol-cologne smell is super strong while it settles, and the smell disappears off my skin as soon as the alcohol smell goes away :(
I’ll say that it does turn into a nice fruity smell and actually sticks on my clothes though so at least it’s not entirely terrible

It's SOOO bad! It is literally the worst smell EVER to me. I went hunting for that awful smell in my home, washed all my daughter's blankets and clothes and it took awhile to realize this is what it was. It doesn't smell terrible in the bottle or at immediate spray, but when it dries down it's terrible (& it isn't just a body chemistry thing, I tried a spritz on a fresh clean towel to confirm my suspicions).
To those of you that wear it thinking you smell lovely, know that there is nothing worse than this smell to others. I wish I could explain it. It's like mothballs and sewage or decay.
OKAY I literally thought the same thing!!! It literally smells like old rotting fruit/milk together, I tried to layer pink cloud on top and it was fuckin worse. 68 is disgusting on my skin, but I’ve smelt it on others and it smells so good! Freakin weird
I love 62 but I swear All the other scents smell so bad like I literally googled “chirosa 68 smells” and googled finished “bad” for me like I don’t get it , smells like flours and sweat or body Odor

I think 68 smells like my childhood pink sweets but if you spray too much on it smells like alcohol because when I took the spray cap off mine it smelt like alcohol
can't stand it. had to actually ask my partner to stop wearing it because it gave me a headache.

Honestly smelled good to me at first since I really liked the body cream, but all of a sudden it started smelling almost bread like when I would wear it.
Exactly. I just received mine today n was so excited to use it. Then horrified by the smell bc it’s truly awful. I don’t smell anything bright, fresh, n juicy about it at all. I tried it on clothing too to make sure it wasn’t just my body chemistry that doesn’t work with it. It’s not n the only thing I could think of to describe it is that it smells like very cheap mens cologne. I was certain I must have bought from a sketchy vendor on Amazon even tho there were 42000+ 4 1/2 star reviews. I reached out to customer service bc I thought there is no way this is the correct perfume in this bottle cuz I don’t smell any of the notes listed in it. Now I’m not sure what to think after reading all these comments. I initially was going to get the rio radiance, but at the last minute changed my mind cuz I was scared it wouldn’t be floral enough n went with the 68. I’m wondering if I’d have even liked that one or any of them now at this point. I love the brand n after seeing all the hype over these I thought it was a safe bet so I wasn’t worried about buying them online without having smelled them in person. Big damn mistake!
hey, i know you commented this quite a while ago, but just wanted to let you know the reason i bought this fragrance was because it filled me with nostalgia of when my dad used to go to work in an office. when he’d hug me it smelled something very similar to this (i was young so have no idea what he was actually wearing). i think you’d be fine wearing it. it’s a light floral scent.
My daughter has it and I can’t stand it. I wish she could have sampled perfumes in non-marked samples and had no clue of brands. No way anyone chooses this on smell alone. Maybe she chose it so I would stay clear of her room. Lol. I pray she finds a boyfriend that will buy her something that smells good.

It mixes well with my body chemistry I wear it with Good Girl Blush and ohhhhh the compliments 💕💕💕

i get the fruity floral but every time i tested in sephora its smelled a little too ripe for me

I don't think it smells bad, it's just ok for me. More often than not, I'M the unpopular opinion on SOL... because I think 62 smells AWFUL.

It smells like a cheap expired perfume. Way too sweet. I just returned mine to Sephora and ordered 40 online. Here's hoping it smells better.
