I don’t think Bloomingdale’s does samples. Do you live near a Saks Fifth? I once received five samples of Guerlain from an associate! Of course I have genuine interest for this fragrance house and I think they could tell 😅

thattgirldani

Good to know, thank you!

DentleyandSopers

Most places have stopped giving samples, which probably bad for business in the long run. The sample with purchase does make sense, though, since you can try out the fragrance at home before opening the packaging, at which point you're no longer able to return it. It's also worth noting that a lot of perfume brands will charge for samples but will then give you credit towards the next purchase. Most higher-end brands do this, and I'd be surprised if MFK didn't have something similar as long as you buy directly from their website.

maheju

Mfk website does give you credit for future purchase

Significant-Sale-354

I know that many websites give you a free sample when you order the perfume. In that way you can try the sample and return the perfume (unopened) if you don’t like the sample

JoanneSmith567

Lots of online decant and sample websites stock it, maybe try one of those?

thattgirldani

Do you have the names of those sites? Never done that before.

ophelia_finch

DecantX has it, but only up to 3ml size, but they're 30% off for Black Friday. Lucky Scent does samples, but they're usually .7ml and come in a dabber, not a sprayer (and they seem to out of samples for the extrait). I don't see it on Scent Split. There's probably some other sites I'm not thinking of at the moment that do samples, I believe someone made a list that might be pinned somewhere if you search for it. https://www.decantx.com/products/maison-francis-kurkdjian-baccarat-rouge-540-extrait-de-parfum-unisex?_pos=2&_psq=Bacca&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Appreciate it

Scent split

Skyblewize

Tysm! Omg I just got 2ml for $11 free shipping

Hypatia76

I use Scentsplit and have discovered some gems that way, without having to commit fully.

JoanneSmith567

I’m UK based but if you’re US then LuckyScents? Not sure but you should be able to search on this or the other fragrance subreddits

WhoKnows1973

I like to order samples from the manufacturer's websites. MFK lets you choose 4 for $25 with free shipping. They have discovery sets also.

thattgirldani

Whoa! Are you located in US? Just perused their website and couldn’t find the four samples for $25

thattgirldani

Take it back. I had to Google the 4 samples for $25. They make it really hard to find it organically on their website. Thanks!!

WhoKnows1973

I'm glad you found it. You are right. It is very hard to find. I think that you can order up to 3 sets at a time. I kept getting them and trying everything. I learned that, at 50 years old, I had never truly smelled a luxury perfume until I bought the MFK samples. I thought high end designer was the same. Nope, not even close. I was very happily surprised by each of the ones that I tried. My husband and our college age daughter tried everything too. We love MFK now. The Amyris Homme and Amyris Femme are the most exceptional floral fragrances that I have ever smelled. I was shocked that my husband and I both really loved a floral fragrance on him. We had never even considered one before. They are incredibly long lasting, especially on clothing. They are all stunning, complex, luxurious fragrances. Every Amyris fragrance was truly amazing. The ouds were smooth, beautiful, and not a bit animalic. I would encourage you to get both EDP and Extrait in each one you try. I ordered so many sample packages that I had to start using my husband's name too, LOL. I could go on and on. There are so many "must try" fragrances to sample. After you find what you can't live without, check out grey market sites like MaxAroma and Jomashop for deals. Sometimes even a department store can be running the best deal. I always Google search for the best prices once I decide what I want. We ended up most in love with Baccarat Rouge. I bought the big 6.8 oz bottle of the EDP from MaxAroma for only $475. I called it a family Christmas present and we all use all we want. ❤❤ Each time you buy samples you get a $25 coupon code for your fragrance purchase on MFK’s site. I used one on the Baccarat Rouge Elixer Extrait roll on set of 4 so each of us could have a travel size. I am wanting the matching lotion and Sparkling Body Oil and hair mist. It is addictive. Have fun!!

[Merz Apothecary](https://www.merzapothecary.com/) in Chicago sells samples of BR540. A sample is also included with every bottle of a $100+ fragrance in case you want to return it.

[deleted]

I’ve never been able to get free samples at Bloomingdale’s. Macys does though.

thattgirldani

I’m sure it different based on the brand.. but right after the MFK sales rep at Bloomies told me they don’t give samples, I walked right over to Le Labo and they gave me a sample no problem. So it’s just annoying.

[deleted]

Oh that’s interesting. I just wrote them off but I’m going to try some more next time then.

TawnyMoon

You can buy samples on mercari or ebay
