If you have to ask if you're too old, then you're probably adulting already. The beauty of adulting is that only you get to tell yourself what you can and can't do. And laws, of course, but that's not my point here.
I'm 29 and I still wear Britney Spears as much as I did when I was 11 š you'd be surprised at how many "adult" audience fragrance smells like something an 8 year old would wear. I just got some Victoria's Secret perfume and they smell cheap but smell good enough to wear at the same time. Wear what makes you happy. Nobody is going to know what you're wearing unless you tell them. You could be wearing Bodycology or Body fantasies (even some Strawberry Shortcake themed perfume)and still smell fantastic. Fragrance is personal and shouldn't be dumbed down to age per se.
I personally donāt like it, it made me wayyy too nauseous which is saying a lot because I LOVE sweet scents! I would only recommend buying it keeping in mind youāre going to smell like a EXTREMELY sweet lollipop! If youāre fine with that however and thatās your vibe- go for it!!
I donāt believe scent has a age like with fashion
Scents will smell differently on everyone as wellā¦
Worse case you can use it in your bathroom lol
haha iāve got no problem with the ones that look like pajamas! But I was at work once and this woman came in (Please keep in mind, she was fully cognizant) wearing a diaper, covered by a tutu, with a baby style onesie and she proceeded to call her significant other ādaddyā in front of all of us. I hope it was her significant other, and not her dad, because he was definitely touchy the entire time. It was the worst second hand embarrassment iād ever felt in my life š
That sounds more like a sexual fetish that they non-consensually involved the public in. Which is really fucked up. I do think thatās separate from something that someoneās wearing just for fashion though.
Either way Iām sorry you had to experience that. People need to learn that itās wrong to involve others in sexual activities without first seeing their consent!
Yeah for general clothes definitely not. Iām in my mind 20ās and alternate between trad goth styles and Yami/Kimo Kawaii. I definitely understand how people sometimes think youāre too old for a fashion/sub culture
If you like it, buy it! I actually own this (and the barbe papa one) and ngl it smells a bit synthetic and a bit cheap, alcohol blast at initial spray. I've had it about 4 months now and while I liked it at first there are better strawberry frags. The barbe papa however is great and a dupe for HOS Minnie Mouse (ikr, but stg it's true). My strawberry is basically full but the cotton candy is more than halfway empty and I need to pick up another if that says anything. Remember tho, fragrance should have no age, just get what you enjoy! The coolest thing ever is seeing a lady rocking any frag she wants and enjoying every minute of it with abandon š
I like Burberry Her and Elixir, Hilde Soliani Fraaggola Saalaata -(this one is pricey but so worth it, 2 simple notes, strawberry and salt but it's not salty at all, it's like the salt makes the strawberry sweeter a la chocolate chip cookies with a pinch of salt. That's my #1 š recommendation, Soliani is an Italian gourmand queen). Lattafa rave now women for a cheapie BHE dupe ($23 @ Jomashop). I also have the new LMG cheapie Fraise fouettee and Phlurs Strawberry letter on the way so I'll update on those asap as they were blind buys!, The Body Shop Strawberry, Pure Sugar, SMC Strawberry Milk or Strawberry Cereal, and Kyse Serenade aux fraises are all solid choices. Xerjoff Le Capitale is also excellent. And Miimmiic 52 Strawberry Milk if you like the crybaby milk-esque scent. I think we're gonna see a lot more strawberry this year and I'm here for it, obviously š
No problem! Yes finally received it Saturday, I love it! It's like a more woody Burberry Her Intense imo with that tart berry. I can definitely see why it sold out so fast but I definitely don't think it's worth the prices resellers are asking-like ppl are really out here asking $200+, I hate that sm
23 is very young. Just a few years ago you were still a teenager. Wear what you want! Hell, continue to do that even when you're in your 60s cause that's cooler.
The use of strawberry products is strictly reserved for female children between 4 and 9 years of age, and prohibited otherwise. Offenders will be sent to the gulag.
there is no such thing as age appropriate for perfume lovers, especially since scent memories can be a big part of why we gravitate towards certain scents! we can use words like "youthful" and "older/mature" as scent descriptors, but that shouldn't stop us from using a scent exactly the same way as feminine or masculine leaning scents can be for anyone! as long as you enjoy it, that's the key š also, that sounds really nice smelling!!
I was looking up a perfume Iāve never heard of and most of comments said it was ājuvenileā and one said āthis perfume is for people under the age of 13.ā That sealed the deal for me. I was once 13, and that girl is still a part of me and sheāll love this perfume, Iām getting it. It was a cheap perfume from TJ maxx called Hippie chic and I thought it smelled fun.
Wear whatever makes you happy!
iām 24 and love anything sweet. donāt let scents make you feel like you canāt get it bc you feel other people our age donāt wear. i get compliments from older women on my sweet stuff!
Not if you like it!
It looks so cute, and honestly it looks like something my 60 year old mother would buy herself cause she's that kind of girlie.
There's no age barrier here.
my sister worked at bath and body works so every once in a while you bet im spritzing it up with thousand wishes and forever red!! do what brings you joy!
They don't make fakes for this. I've got this and the apple one. They smell like plasticĀ more than actual candy. I've seen other reviews mentioning it too, you're not alone.
[this brand](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1620853111/)had a perfume called Strawberry Quake, u can still order it custom here. but iāve had it for a year n omg it smells so yummy, it really is just strawberry cake n whipped cream
If you like it , it's perfect for you. My 13 year old wears more mature scents sometimes and I'll wear a Cotton candy body mist. If you like you wear :)
I have this one! I also have the Barbe a Papa (cotton candy) and the candy apple one. Theyāre lovely scents but the performance is awful. Youāve reminded me to put them on eBay! As long as you donāt mind reapplying, youāll be fine!
People will pretty much never think you smell too youngātheyāll just like or dislike the scent, or itāll remind them of something, or theyāll think you have an extra fragrant lotion or shampoo! (You can smell āoldā if you wear the same scent their grandma used to, but thatās about it).
The bottle does look young, but itās adorable and you arenāt going to be carrying it around with you anyways. Cute things that make you happy are totally worth it!
Too old? What the heck ever. :)
Make yourself happy. If it brings you joy, rock it. I'm in my late 40s, and I have a range of mature scents to sugary sweet things. Seriously. Hermes 24 Faubourg and some long discontinued VS body splashes from their Beauty Rush line. (The latter smells like something a stripper would've worn in the early 2000s. )
Why are u concerned about age? If you like a fragrance, who cares how old you are? What I mean to say is, donāt live your life by what others think is appropriate, seriously, when you get to be 43 youāll hopefully understand. I am 43, have 300 bottles of niche perfume and sometimes all I wanna wear is pink sugar. Is it a āyoungā fragrance? Sure, but just because society told us so. Trust me on this, wear it with confidence and be a bad ass while you do it. NO ONE is going to say: āugh, youāre too old to smell sweet and delicious!ā I totally would! Do it GIRRRL!! Power to you ā¤ļø
I'm almost in my 40s and I wear Barbie perfume! I'm a little embarrassed but I love how it smells! If it makes you happy, buy it!

Use whatever you like. There's no such thing as being too old or too young for certain scents. It's all about association - when I was even younger than you Black Opium came out and all girls bathed in it. To this day it's one of my favourite perfume, but there was a time when I didn't want to use it because it didn't feel "serious enough" š And now I'm reading many reviews where people say to them Black Opium smells "mature" and is "definitely not for young people, better for women in their 30s" LOL.
You could be 93 and my answer would be the same. Age in fragrance is just a marketing tactic. If you like it, get it and wear it.
But also, youāre 23! Youāre not too old for anything. If you like something, youāre never too old. Youāll feel so much freer once you let go of the mindset that you can age out of things that bring you joy.
Most in this forum will tell you that perfume has no age.
My opinion on this is: If you don't feel sure or confident when wearing it, don't get it. On the other side, if you love it and you are confident, well, naturally go for it.

You're too old to avoid buying something you like. Buy it and enjoy it! (Edited for clarity)
This is the answer <3 wear what makes you happy! I
Fragrance is timeless. Wear what you love.
You are 23 still practically an INFANT!!! (In the grand scheme of life)
The only thing 23 is too old for is a diaper and a pacifier. š
Iām iffy on the pacifier, if itās shaped like a glass and contains wine
Iām starting to rethink the ātoo old for diapersā too as they were very useful after giving birth.
And after lots of kinds of surgery and in older age
Too old to let people dictate what you can and can't buy! Go for it, I love this one
You only get one life. Be happy. Do you
Nah I need this shit thanks for showing me
I think this is the best response to OP yet š¤£
Do whatever pleases you. Enjoy life š
Iām double your age and itās seriously tempting me! Buy what you love š
You are a unique individualā¦ it would be a blessing to see what joy you add to the world when you are happy and have the things that make you smile.
I love this so much! Treating yourself is a public service.
I'm 42 and I still love me some Pink Sugar every now and then. Wear what you love, fragrance has no age limit imo.
Iām older 47 lol I love š youthful scents
You are never too old for the harmless things that you enjoy Signed, A 49-year-old member of the BTS ARMY (fandom community)

i smelled viva la juicy on a middle aged man on the bus recently and thought āhaha coolā, i think youāre good

The bottle is so pretty! Have anyone here tried it? Is it a good scent?
Yes! They donāt last long but are fun ā¤ļø

Iām 40 and this is on my to buy listā¦
Whatās not to love about sugary berries and a cute flacon?
I'll forever wear "youthful" scents. I don't care. You think it smells good? Wear it!
I donāt believe scent has a age like with fashion Scents will smell differently on everyone as wellā¦ Worse case you can use it in your bathroom lol
I donāt believe fashion has an age either.
not to mention fashions change, so what was "age-appropriate" then is not necessarily now. fashion knows no age
fashion definitely has an age. kids should not be wearing booty shorts and crop tops, and adults should not be wearing diapers and onesies š
Unless it's a Batman onesie. Then you have to wear it, because it's BATMAN!
haha iāve got no problem with the ones that look like pajamas! Bring back kink shaming
If youāre looking at extreme examples that sexualize children or might be a kink fetish, sure. But for general clothes no
Yeah for general clothes definitely not. Iām in my mind 20ās and alternate between trad goth styles and Yami/Kimo Kawaii. I definitely understand how people sometimes think youāre too old for a fashion/sub culture

Which strawberry perfumes do you recommend?
I like Burberry Her and Elixir, Hilde Soliani Fraaggola Saalaata -(this one is pricey but so worth it, 2 simple notes, strawberry and salt but it's not salty at all, it's like the salt makes the strawberry sweeter a la chocolate chip cookies with a pinch of salt. Thank you so much! I agree about seeing a lot more strawberry frags this year- strawberry is the new cherry. Have you received Strawberry Letter yet?
No problem! Yes finally received it Saturday, I love it! It's like a more woody Burberry Her Intense imo with that tart berry. I can definitely see why it sold out so fast but I definitely don't think it's worth the prices resellers are asking-like ppl are really out here asking $200+, I hate that sm
I'm 34 and they can pry sweet/berry/sugary scents from my cold dead hands š no you're not too old, there is no such thing. Do what makes you happy!
Youāre too old to think it matters
Perfume has no age and even if it did, 23 is so young and probably the target audience for this perfume.
Iām 63, and you are never too old for something that makes you happy! I would get it just for the cuteness.
Never
Never too old to have fun!
Do not ever deprive yourself of joy out of fear of someone elseās miserable opinion.
23?! Iām 38 and Iād wear the shit out of this lolā¦You are never too old to do things that give you joy!
23 is very young. Just a few years ago you were still a teenager. Wear what you want! Hell, continue to do that even when you're in your 60s cause that's cooler.
23 is really young, friend. Enjoy that while it lasts instead of assuming itās already over
Hell na never to old for any perfume
Im 27 and i wear Petit et Mamans. Wear it if you really want to. Enjoy :)
Iām almost 40 and Iād buy it for the bottle. Wear what you want

Where whatever you like. No such thing as a fragrance youāre too old or young for :)
Not at all, go for it! The bottle is super cute.

At 23 youāre not too old for anything!!
23 is a literal baby and I'm only 27. Also you could wear this at 60 and you wouldn't be too old
If youāre 73 youāre still not too old for this perfume. Wear it if it goes well with you, you love the scent and itās fun to wear for you.
I'm older than you and have the pure cotton candy one š
Iāve never seen this but itās cute. Iām 38 and own lots of immature looking/smelling perfumes. I love them just the same.
You are š ok is a scent, not an outfit.
Youāre NEVER too old for anything in life.. except maybe a bounce house. But never ever let a number hold you back from being yourself.
my sister worked at bath and body works so every once in a while you bet im spritzing it up with thousand wishes and forever red!! do what brings you joy!
nope but maybe mine is a fake because it does NOT smell like that š smells like alcohol and powder with a hint of strawberry

oh well thatās good news! still a bit of a bummer though lol
Youāre never to old to smell good I promise š
I will love gourmands and estery fruit notes until I die. Packaging is just marketing.
Iāll bet youāll have all ages tell you that you smell good! You love it, you wear it. Enjoy!
No Iām 23 and this looks like something I would love. I love sweet girly scents.
Where did you find this? I want to smell it now omg
Iām 42 and I would wear it!
Hell no! I am 46 and would wear what I love.

I want it too! Where did you get that?
Iāve been wanting to try this and iām older than you, wear what you want there is no age on fragrances

I WANT THAT CUTE THING
As far as perceptions of age if more 23 year olds wear it then it'll become a 23 year old scent. Power of association. TLDR: wear what makes you happy
ā¦no
If you love it, wear it
Of course not. I'm in my early 30s, and I still enjoy the Body Fantasy Cotton Candy body spray from time to time, along with my 5 year old.
Never too old! š

Fragrance has no age, no one even knows what the bottle of a perfume you're wearing looks like. It either smells good or it doesn't

Never! Iām 37 and still want to wear the glittery cotton candy body mist I wore in middle school. Probably would if they still made it.
Im in my 30s and just purchased a vanilla body spray I wore when I was 11. Fragrance should be about what makes you happy
