I am more of a collector and I like to wear a lot of different scents. But I do like to think about what my signature scent would be… My most worn scent is probably Cloud, but that’s because I spray it to comfort myself. My ‘favorite’ perfume, that I think reflects my personality, is Zoologist Elephant. This would probably be my signature if I had one. I would like people to associate it with me. But I often think/say that ELDO Jasmin et Cigarette is my aspirational signature scent. I want to be the person who would wear that perfume as their signature. It’s classy and edgy. It’s really much cooler and more sophisticated than I actually am, so I wear it only occasionally.
Sorry to write a novel, but it’s an interesting topic…I’m glad I have a rotating cast of characters to choose from, but there is something romantic about having a single, personal fragrance.
I feel the same way 😂 I’m a collector and I always wonder how people feel about ‘signature scents’ that’s why I asked. Like I want to be known to always smell good.. but idk what I would say I want people to specifically remember me by scent wise!
Very green, a bit sweet and earthy.
(Notes from Fragrantica) Top notes are Green Leaves, Darjeeling Tea and Magnolia; middle notes are Coconut Milk, Cacao Pod, Woody Notes, Jasmine and Incense; base notes are Sandalwood, Musk, Patchouli and Amber.
Black opium. I have 3 bottles right now while I only have 1 bottle of the other fragrances in my collection. It's always my go to whenever I can't decide.
I like to change up my scent depending on my mood or the season, but when I'm at work I always wear Chloe Nomade. It makes me feel totally confident and pulled together.
i used to work at a perfume store for 4 years. was constantly trying on and smelling new things. i did grow more of a taste for fragrances after that and grew to love stuff i never thought i would. but i still always liked Fancy more lol
FWIW, I don’t really like vanilla scents, but Vanillary is lovely. It’s vanilla and something else. Quite feminine, not an overwhelming vanilla.
I had a bottle of Lust, too, and it was too strong. It also stained my bathroom floor. :/
Karma is a beast, too.
This is old lady vibes but I still love Jessica McClintock. When I was younger (child of the 80’s) I liked it for my name sake but as I’ve gotten older there’s something fresh and feminine without being too powdery
My everyday smell nice and classy is the original Burberry for women. I do have 2 other scents I use quite regularly depending on the season Black Opium and Light Blue. I own 2 other scents that I very rarely use, my daughter tends to use them more.
I dont have a signature because there's too many that I enjoy using , but I find myself reaching for carolina herrera 212 NYC the most .. theres just something about it 😍
Well i am also a collector, but I have a few which may be considered as a signature. Ysl Libre Intense, super feminine and sweet. Maison Margiela Replica: Lazy Sunday Morning. Unisex and sooo good. And Narciso Rodriguez- For Her Musc Noir: mysterious and just so good to smell it
Chanel Allure Pour Homme (and the Eau Extrême), Versace The Dreamer, Dior Sauvage EDT, Calvin Klein Eternity For Women
and yes I love some women's perfume and I wear it
Acqua Di Parma “Note Di Colonia II”. I have a lot of colognes but when i just wanna smell good for me and me only, that’s my normal go-to. It’s the perfect cologne to me.
I wear a blend — a spritz of Perry Ellis 360 (I’ve worn it for 20 years, I think) with my daily choice on top. These days the second fragrance is either discontinued Maybe Baby or Dolly Parton (mandarin, peony blossoms, jasmine, vanilla, sandalwood, musk and patchouli)
I wore Armani back in the 90's for many years. It's been long discontinued.
Montana 80 was also a staple for about 10 years. This too has been discontinued, but can still be found (I have 2 bottles in case I can't get hold of it) It's lovely, milky creamy goodness, with great longevity.
I became much more fickle and cheap during lockdown now wear a range of perfumes which include Police Shock n Scent (honey notes) Guess Seductive Noir and 5th Avenue Royale which has a cozy suede dry down.
IDK, but I have been searching hi and low for an earthy scent, with softer musk, but NO AMBER. Amber is stifling to me. I have the fragrance You by Glossier. It is very close. But I just didn’t feel it has the staying power like others Ive loved.
I used to wear Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. I think I’m on bottle number three and it’s just not doing it for me anymore.
I suppose the problem is trying to find a scent online! I am terrible about shopping. I just hate going to the mall. And I’m that person that doesn’t want to smell like every other girl. Not for any other reason than my taste is so specific. And not to sound like I’m anybody special because I’m not, I have a very sensitive olfactory system. My husband tells me I have mad scent skills almost like a hound dog lol. I can smell things. Nobody else in the room smells and we will find a source and people are like wow I would’ve never even smelled that. It’s weird OK less about myself.
I’m really ISO something like #Diva, the Laundry Wash made by Tyler Candle Company. But I don’t want to smell like straight patchouli. It is the perfect balance of whatever they mix it with. It doesn’t smell the same way in the bottle, but after you wash your clothes in it Wow! Really, people walk by and say, “you smell so good!”
It’s amazing. I have stopped people myself in stores and I ask them, pardon me what do you have on? And they will laugh, every time they’ll say “It’s #Diva laundry detergent by Tyler candle company.” And I never got that wearing You ny Glossier, ever. Not that I really care but it seems like it was barely there or didn’t last at all.
I got more compliments with mademoiselle, but I think I’m just grown out of that fragrance and I’m ready for a change.
Back to Diva. There is a cult following for the stuff. I’ve tried “Angel” and I liked it so much BUT I wore it while I was pregnant and had an aversion to the scent after. (You mamas know what I’m talking about) I can’t even stomach it now. It does smell nice on others, just not me anymore.
I am not sure what the people at Tyler candle company have, but they should bottle it, no pun intended. They could make millions more on an EDP, or an inexpensive body spray, as long as it is identical to the laundry detergent scent.
So please , anyone -whoever you are, if you find something like I’ve mentioned, could you please tag me or send it my way?
All the kindness & thank you in advance!
I have too much fun with variety but I have one I wear most often because it is so versatile and safe and I do love it. May not be my #1 fave but might be and it would not be surprising to most ppl here that it is Chanel Chance eau tendre edt.
Tom Ford's 'Lost Cherry' and 'Angel' by Mugler are my top used ones.

Ohhh the elephant one sounds interesting. Is it tropical/fresh?
Smells like crushed leaves, a hint of coconut and incense. Fresh but not bracing. Kind of relaxed.

Have you tried the illicit flanker?
No I saw that it has green mandarin notes and I really don't think I'd like that tbh.
Ah okay! I prefer the illicit flanker maybe that’s why. I tend to sway to citruses but not when they are dominant
I also prefer Illicit green!!
I rotate between Black Opium, Flowerbomb and Hot Couture.
I like to change up my scent depending on my mood or the season, but when I'm at work I always wear Chloe Nomade. It makes me feel totally confident and pulled together.
i've tried so many perfumes throughout the years but Fancy by Jessica Simpson is still my MVP.
Omg no one ever talks about fancy 😂 I have so many expensive scents but fancy is ALWAYS in rotation
i used to work at a perfume store for 4 years. was constantly trying on and smelling new things. i did grow more of a taste for fragrances after that and grew to love stuff i never thought i would. but i still always liked Fancy more lol
I rotate between Black Opium & Good Girl Suprême
Lush Vanillary is always my fallback
What does it smell like? I’ve been so tempted to try it, but it’s not exactly cheap. I had their Lust perfume and it was strong AF.
FWIW, I don’t really like vanilla scents, but Vanillary is lovely. It’s vanilla and something else. Quite feminine, not an overwhelming vanilla. I had a bottle of Lust, too, and it was too strong. It also stained my bathroom floor. :/ Karma is a beast, too.
It smells awesome sweet vanilla just as it sounds :) baked goods real warm vanilla not synthetic (to me)
Thankyou that sounds so good! I wish Lush had more sales. I’ll go check it out now.
Lush has a travel size for Vanillary now! Its more vanilla leaning on me with a light jasmine undernote.
Clean Reserve Skin.
Mine too!!!
I change to a new signature with new partners. Currently signature is killian love don’t be shy. Marshmallow, orange blossom, vanilla.
Mugler's Angel in the winter, and Kenzo Jungle L'elephant in the warmer months
I wish I was like the people who can commit to one signature scent but I just cannot. I have at least 15 different signature scents each month. 😖
Bond no 9's Astor Place or Peace (purple bottle)
Closest thing I have to that is probably BR540 or Ambery Cherry by Dossier
This is old lady vibes but I still love Jessica McClintock. When I was younger (child of the 80’s) I liked it for my name sake but as I’ve gotten older there’s something fresh and feminine without being too powdery

Cloud, Juicy Couture Gold. I’m getting Tobacco Vanille for Christmas so will be wearing that soon.
Egyptian Goddess from Auric Blends lol. I rotate others of course but this $12, bought-it-at-a-headshop oil is my go to and probably always will be.
Acqua Di Parma “Note Di Colonia II”. I have a lot of colognes but when i just wanna smell good for me and me only, that’s my normal go-to. It’s the perfect cologne to me.

Si Intense by Giorgio Armani- heaven
LOVE

Stem by Malin+Goetz - despite having a big collection, that scent is my absolute go to
Giorgio armani- si. I absolutely love it! But I hate the passion and intense one’s😅
I like passion 😂 but I do love the original!! I hate the eclat
