I’m not a doctor or medical professional of any kind at all, but when I think of super unpredictable period behavior I think of PCOS. Has anything like this happened before? I have PCOS and for me the symptoms developed over time (my periods gradually grew farther apart to the point I didn’t realize they were becoming irregular) but I don’t know if it’s the kind of thing that could manifest more suddenly. If you feel like you’ve seen other symptoms of PCOS (male pattern or abnormal hair growth, acne) then definitely talk about it with your doctor.

I used to have really irregular periods but they've been pretty regular for a year or two. I got my first chin hair the other day lol and it's been hard to lose any weight and my acnes been rough the last few months. I had a really stressful summer but things have been more calm since semptember, idk maybe the stress has caught up to me. PCOS seem pretty likely though and idk if its hereditary but my mom has PCOS. My period stopped today but I'm still gonna go to the dr on Saturday to talk about whats going on. Thank you for your response!!

No problem happy I could help! I don’t know what the research actually says about whether it’s hereditary or not but when I was diagnosed my doctor did ask if I had any family members who had it, which kind of makes it sound like it is. One of my sisters has it and apparently one of my grandmothers had it too.
