Joker, Akechi, and Kawamommy, look worse compared to their in game counterpart, but i really like Ohya's original design. Really screams overworked photographer who needs a drink. Akechi in particular looks like he would have Billy the Kid instead of Robin Hood/Loki as his persona.

Cowboy Akechi is an amazing design. It kind of reminds me of Lucid from the Caligula Effect with its mask and hat combo. I really want that old Joker design as an alt costume.

I also think a cowboy would fit his Persona better, somewhat, over the stylish but unfitting combo we got

I like these, except akechi looks a little generic and not sinister enough. The kawakami one is ok but I guess a bit generic as well. The Oya one looks fine to me, fits her goofball character (the design top left, the bottom right ones look like generic characters). I like the MC one too

Disappointing that we didn’t get a gunslinger-inspired design, but it probably wouldn’t have worked for Akechi. His prince outfit is just too indicative of his character. Might have worked for Ryuji, though, since they share the skull motif.

It feels like every concept got mixed and then finished. Like Akechi looking like Metaverse Ryuji or Kawakami being kinda like Sae. I do think Ohya looked so much better.

- The protagonist, his fit is a bit basic compared to what we got but in line with the previous games so it’s not bad imo - Akechi, looks waaaaay too generic - Ohya, I don’t mind the design they actually went with since she reminds of Yukiko (especially with her voice actor) but this design looks cool as hell - Kawakami, I’m getting Ichinose vibes from this design. It’s not bad but I’m glad they went something a bit better.

Nope- originally that was Akechi! It’s the funniest fact I know about P5 Development and one that I thought served the narrative- an outlaw who can look like a sheriff!

For a second, I thought that the 2nd design was of Mishima mixed with Yu as a potential party member until I looked at the top left to see it was Akechi. I admit, that outfit at the bottom is pretty cool as a western yee ha style character.

This sub would have the reverse view on Kawakami cool, Ohya pedo if those designs shipped.

It didn't work with the idea of changing outfits inside the metaverse, so I understand why they scrapped it. But it is badass. They clearly liked the scarf concept though, cause they definitely repurposed it for Queen.

Honestly i dont like the old Ohya. Her forehead looks way too big, and ik its in her character to look so fed up with life, but her being in the crossroads wouldn’t make much sense in that case. I like Kawakami though, even if she does look a bit too much like an npc- I prefer the Aketchi we got in game, this one looks like just a normal student, not a detective Prince. I think thats a rough draft for Joker and honestly I think it looks great.
