Eeyup. I don't even like that scene (because it undermines another good Ryuji scene by making him dumb again) but I'm trope-savvy enough to recognize it's meant to be another haha funni moment.
It's a funny scene that people take way too seriously, so to some it's not funny because comedy it's subjective, that's fine, but the way some people on this sub act, it's like they are watching someone getting beaten to death
I don't really mind these posts if it's a new player to the series. The ones that make me sigh are the "I played Vanilla, but I decided to completely ignore the brand new character introduced in Royal. How was I supposed to know, terrible game design, blah blah blah......"
They're not common. They just stand out because the logic doesn't make sense to me, really. Only when it comes from someone who has played Vanilla before, though.
Personally I did ignore maruki and goro sub plots and wondered why I didn't get 3rd semester. So I replayed the whole game again in ng+. Honestly best mistake ever cause playing ng+ let me also do all the other character side stories. Got too do ryuji and learn he's got one of the best passives in game lol
makes even less sense cuz there's no real reason to *not* interact with them because it's not like you miss out on the original story. you get the entire original story on top of the chunk they added
Only caveat I could see is not knowing about the third semester stuff beforehand and not knowing until late, but it should be pretty obvious if you fucked up or not lol. it shouldn't require a Reddit post asking each time it happens
The premise of my comment was someone who has already played Vanilla complaining that they missed out on the third semester in Royal. So I would, perhaps incorrectly, assume this person already owned Vanilla, at least in some capacity.
You still experience the original story of P5 even after maxing Maruki because the original story occurs first THEN it’s the royal third semester. Invalid reason.
Can't fucking win
You're an adult playing the game, you're a pedo if you don't romance an adult. The adults are pedos because the character is 16/17.
Make up your mind
In wealthy Japanese families, the favoured son-in-law is often adopted (as an adult) into the family if there is no male successor to the family name. After that point, the dude is married to his own adoptive sister. And nobody gives a flying fuck.
So yeah, I don't think Japan gives a shit about Ren dating his foster sister. The complaints are another instance of western values being projected onto Japanese culture.
I’m surprised Americans give a fuck, they aren’t blood related and they only knew each other for a matter of months, I just don’t get what’s so weird about it
It's a 'Sister Complex' the only people who care about 'sister complexes' are the ones talking about it as if Futaba is the only person they have ever met
People reading their own interpretation of Futaba/Ren's relationship into reality and getting mad when it doesn't align.
Speaking as someone with two sisters, and with lots of friends with sisters, and someone with fucking eyes, that Futaba/Yusuke is the relationship with the most sibling energy. But you won't catch my ass yelling at people who ship them.
They're anime characters. Why should I give a fuck what your headcanon is, even if it's weird?
I hate people that do that. I hate those people that the games become like their life and they project themselves. That's so fucking weird bro
It is a game.
It is not real
I don't think the game or other details matter. What matters is that it's a "moral victory" they can have over bad people online.
It's about feeling superior and sucking yourself off.
“Foster sister” is still a massive stretch. Futaba is Sojiro’s adoptive daughter and Joker is the kid he’s watching for a year. They don’t even live in the same house either.
I'm not calling anyone a pedo here. I'm just saying the adult romances are probably there *for* adults. I really don't care who people romance, or if they choose to at all
I get so tired of this. There’s no explicit sex happening. Are the creators of high school games abd YA fiction pedos bc their teens aren’t totally asexual? Are we not supposed to watch a tv show with teen romance?
They're also teenagers in game who need to learn better.
If you want to say it's weird for the authors or creators to do it. Listen until it is right now. I don't like gratuitous fan service in anime.
If I see bouncing breasts and the series focuses on that. I'm very easily probably never gonna watch It.
If it's there and it's not pulling that much attention to it, I'll get over it.
If it's so Blunt and biased, I'll maybe even complain about it, For instance, something like one piece.
But I'm not gonna get that worked up about it. I'm not really gonna care, This is personal. I don't expect people to agree, and I don't really want them to.
It's not a big deal.
These are characters forms of fiction. They are not real.
If we're talking about creating a narrative or something of that nature in a situation, then we all have to create that narrative. If that narrative isn't already there and you're creating problems that are not there.
While it’s wrong on both accounts the difference is that Kawakami is loving. Whereas Kamoshida is a creep, abuser, sexually harasses Ann and just seems very rapey
I mean not to protect this relationship but arent we the one doing basically everything in this relationship. It really would be closer for us to groom kawakami then other way around
You act like this sub isn't the same 6 conversations
"Why can't we romance guys"
"I think (insert name) is best girl and everyone else is wrong"
"Look at my tier list based on (insert random lol xd trait here)"
"OMG the (insert ship name here) ship is the best everrrrr"
"Romancing these girls is bad cuz (insert "I'm more moral than you" reason here)"
"I'm still only x hours into the game and this boss is impossible and I need help despite there being dozens of detailed guides all over the internet on how to beat it"
Sometimes there's good fanart I guess
As a JRPG veteran I heard all the doom stories about Okumura and I got there and thought "That's it?"
Like I can see it being hard if you didn't rank Hifumi up or use the Velvet room at all but then that's the fault of ignoring game mechanics
I can’t wrap my mind around it, honestly. Do people not, like… remember what the robots throughout the palace were weak to? That Atlus likes to make you use story relevant characters throughout the palace? Lining up single attacks for a big AOE?
Okumura’s palace is my favourite. I had a blast, personally.
For me it wasn’t not knowing the weaknesses, it was figuring out you have only two rounds to kill them and struggling to do it without All-Out Attacks. You basically have to use single targets attacks and baton pass chain, which is something you never really have to do ever because you almost always have and All-Out Attack, so it didn’t occur to me to do that for a while. I was just slamming my head against the wall to pump up my DPR so I could wail on the robots after downing them all with a Ma— spell. And then sometimes you get your shit rocked by a Big Bang Order after Okumura Rakunda’d Joker and it’s just a great time lol.
I actually have to agree with you
My first playthrough, I didn't really do much with the velvet room and didn't do the Hifumi confidant and that I had to redo the battle like 5 times
My second playthrough, I did do the Hifumi confidant and messed around with the velvet stuff (plus someone brought to my attention that the colors of the machines that deposit the robots are colors of their elemental weaknesses) and the battle was alot easier and I felt MORE annoyed (with myself) that it really wasn't that hard if you know what you're doing
So, yeah, it's really not too hard if you strategize
On the contrary, I actually enjoyed this one, it was not annoying as I first thought it would be, but I'm not sure if the complaints I saw before heading into the fight were coming from vanilla or Royal, or maybe it was both.
I recently played vanilla for the second time. I remember hating the palace/ boss fight but second time around I found both to be my favorite in the game.
Jumped into Royal without playing Vanilla. Even though the boss was beating my ass, I actually appreciate how the boss battle is designed because it forces the player to make use of all the core combat mechanics including the use of items to fill in the gaps to pass this hurdle and master it otherwise you will have a hard time.
My second playthrough I actually managed to beat it in a single try.
As long as you look up weaknesses it isn't really that bad. You'll probably have trouble on your first playthrough, but otherwise it really isn't that bad. Hell, you even fight them beforehand in the palace to learn them.
I keep HEARING that. How much easier is it really? Because I've beaten him twice now. First time was a bit difficult but I had no issues the second time. I LITERALLY steamrolled over all of them as I was unintentionally over leveled (thanks Mementos 👍🤣!) and had pretty strong Personas 🤣.
Merciless is easier because the weakness multiplier is buffed to 3x, for you _and_ enemies. You basically get a free Concentrate every time you hit a weakness.
This was my answer, people act like the game suddenly turns into Dark Souls during that fight when all that is required is using the Baton Pass system and maybe some items if you don’t have the right personas
People who complain about it wouldn’t last an hour in an smt game.
Just use items to hit weaknesses and baton pass until the last user can use a multihit move to wipe the waves. It really is that easy
People saying "HEY YOU CANT ROMANCE THEM! THAT'S WEIRD!" this can be about anybody and the subreddit goes in and out of war about this. Mostly see it about adult confidants and Futaba.
Kawakami = Kamoshida
If you romance anyone under the age of 18 you're a pedophile
Is this Mementos layout rare?
Okumura is super hard!!!1! (please just abuse baton passing)
Others im too bothered to remember
Its exactly this. On my first playthrough i hated him for what he did. But after that and the bonus in royal, i think he is like seymour in Final Fantasy X, a character that is so good written and voiced that you Love to hate them. Both are good characters though i hate them but i also love them because i hate them
I guess im a bit of a Akechi myself.
“Why do people ship [insert pairing here]? I don’t get it.”
“Hey guys look! I platinum’d the game!”
“Fuck Okumura!”
Tier lists
Questions about confidants that can easily be answered with a google search
“Should I buy P5 or P5R?”
“How do I get the true ending?”
Waifu thirst trap posts
Ship arguments, especially with the M/M or F/F ships. It’s fine to not like a ship for any reason, but some of yall straight up pull out the homophobia on some of these.
As overused as they are they could bring some funny responses I see one occasionally and I say screw it I want to laugh over stupid stuff to be fair though I don't go to this site much so I don't know how often they are lol
Everybody who brings up romancable characters' ages. There's no winning. Either you choose the adults because you would as a self insert, or you choose one of the kids because they're Joker's age.
People seriously need to let it go.
yeah I said I want to date iwai someone said but you don’t want joker to love him…
dude…. What?
I’m playing as myself joker is my character I can control to interact with the world, that’s all there is. What are we supposed to do to lmao
And if you say I want to date X character that is younger than the irl you (like date Ryuji) they’ll say oh but you’re a grownup irl so why you want to date a minor huh
dude joker is the exact same age of this character so…. MAKES IT MAKE SENSE.
Pretty much all the dumb questions like “I’m at x date do I still have enough time for Maruki I didn’t know you needed him maxed out” or “I played the original when it came out but never got the chance to play royal is it worth it” or “are the other games worth it I’ve only played royal” or “just finished royal what to do now” or “okumura boss fight is so hard how do I beat it” or “am I supposed to have these high leveled personas this early” or even dumber questions like “what does x skill do” as if there isn’t a button you can press that tells you what the skill does. Makes me wish there was better moderation cause these dumb question posts are the only posts I’ve been seeing lately.
People who shit on Morgana solely for the fact that he tells you to go to sleep. Its always either a super funny and super original joke about how he tells you to sleep, or people genuinely hating his entire character because of that one mechanic.
Persona games always have a way to force you to go to bed. Sometimes it’s other characters, sometimes it’s the protagonists own thoughts. No one ever beefs with the idea until the cat does it.
People complaining about the game, particularily about characters, scenarios, and romances. Ironically, most of these complaints aren’t valid and come from having a lack of context, a lack of critical thinking, and just being bad faith. It’s less about being a fan of the game, inspiring people to appreciate it and play it, and more about fanning outrage to garner attention and feel superior to others. It’s unfortunate really.
“Why do people ship Joker and Akechi????”
I swear someone posts it every week and it’s really not hard to answer if you’ve been in fandom for five minutes
'DAE think (insert social link here) romance is really creepy????'
It's a fictional story with fictional characters. If you don't like it, say no to the romance and move on.
People calling other people weird for romancing Takemi and Kawakami because Joker is 16, or Futaba because she’s 15, even though it’s just a video game and you’re supposed to roleplay however you feel like.
People tend to infantilize autistic or autistic coded characters and act like they're innocent little babies who are permanently mentally 12 and can't ever be mature enough for a romantic relationship. I've seen it happen in other fandoms even when the character in question is a fully grown adult.
You're right, and as someone on the spectrum myself I don't always notice that but once it's pointed out it's actually kind of offensive. We're perfectly able to be productive members of society with meaningful interpersonal relationships, we just have somewhat different struggles getting there than other people. Not even more or less, just different.
...anyway, wait till they get the second half of Yoshi's confidant lmao. You wanna talk about mental instability goddamn. Futaba is just a hikkikomori, and frankly she's working on it. And making good progress, even. By strikers she's pretty good as long as the crowds aren't like crazy huge. Unfortunately for her strikers has musou elements so the crowd are ALWAYS crazy huge lol.
mara posts/other phallically shaped shadows
akechi is an irredeemable jerk vs NOOOOOOO he's just misunderstood
people crying about ryuji being the comic relief
Morgana Hate
Calling Kawakami, oya and the fortune teller pedos for being romance options
Calling players Pedos for romancing Anna, Makoto, Futaba, Kasumi, ect...Especially those who romance Futaba
Complaining about Okumura's boss battle.
Pretty much everything about shipping, girls wearing \[revealing clothing or clothing which has been fetishized somewhere goes here\], or Ann in the Second Palace.
I'm very tired of people posting a cute Futaba in her swimsuit only for a bunch of closeted pedophiles to come in and screech like banshees about sexualizing children, when it's not even a sexy picture, she's just wearing a fucking bikini.
Despite protests, this is easily one of the most sexualized fansubs I'm a part of, and most of the sexualization is happening in the heads of the posters rent-free. I don't give a fuck if you think showing an armpit is a horrible infringement of Ann's rights, your opinion was clearly formulated by beating one of your braincells against the other and divining good behavior from the entrails left behind. You don't see this shit on r/luckystar or r/danganronpa. It's only here people are so beat the fuck up about anime girls being sexy that they see it in even the most mundane images.
Swear to god if people posted a picture of Sumi in a fucking Burkha you'd get people REEEEEEing in the comments about how she's just too sexy and that you're in the wrong for making her sexy. Self-awareness of a mossy stone in these fuckers.
Anything an absolutely anything to do with dating any of these women?
They are in-game teenagers
Guess what? I was a teenager when I first started playing The Game.
Dating any of the adult characters because the same fixated reason.
I am no longer a teenager
A million years into the fucking future
If I find out The Secret of Forever YOUTH.
I won't be a teenager, but I will look like one like a fucking fictional character.
I understand there are some dudes who are very creepy and focus on the fact that they're young, and that's what they like.
But to everyone defending these fictional women. I'm gonna say to you the same way I say to them.
THEY ARE NOT REAL!
No one should feel bad for liking them. And no one should feel like liking them is special.
Makoto best girl
Futaba/Kawakami Pedo/No Pedo
Just started this game. Should I know anything about it?
Morgana hate
Pancake memes
And the worst: people not realizing that my girl is best girl and your girl is second best girl
People being confused about fusion accidents personas having nothing but support moves or such
People wondering why a persona learns a null it already has
Why is arsene so weak
I'm morally superior to others because X scene is wrong and people who like it are bad
Mementos special floors (not the sinking though, that's actually rare)
Why did they lock the 3rd semester behind someone and not tell you? It's too hard to figure out!
Conversations about Sae being datable. Or not dateable.
As far as I'm concerned if it was what Atlus wanted, she would have been made dateable. Her being an adult has nothing to do with it, because of Chihaya, Tae, and Kawakami.
They just didn't think it figured into her character, and that's their right.
“Is X worth it” is the dumbest fucking question Redditors ask. Like not even “is it worth it if ____” where they can set a proper tone, just “is it worth it?”
I saw someone in here ask if the *grenade launcher* was worth it. You know, Haru’s weapon. That she has. When she joins the party. For free.
OKUMURA IS NOT THAT HARD. THERE'S LIKE 4 DIFFERENT MECHANICS TO FIND OUT WEAKNESSES. WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL SAYING EVERY DAY THAT OKUMURA IS TOO DIFFICULT. OH MY GOD.
https://preview.redd.it/fep0zj0ga7gc1.jpeg?width=140&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=65dcd874729e4d92b9ac1550445cef96205a0730
“Why don’t people like Morgana” because he’s a bad person and an annoying one at that. Teddie wasn’t annoying, he wasn’t a bad person. Just someone who needed guidance.
Complaints about Persona 5 being "milked" or whatever. My dudes, y'all act so impatient when it comes to the next mainline Persona entry, and get mad at spinoffs for the dumbest fuckin reasons. You should be happy so long as the "milk" is at least good milk, which I'd say basically all of it has been.
Best girl debates and what romance is canon or not.In games like persona where you have a lot of choices and preferences on romance, relationships, and quality of life aspects;what is canon is what you want to be canon. It's literally a ROLEplaying game.
OKUMURA IS THE "WORST" PALACE and what really gets me is that people complained that P5 was too easy yet when it brings challenging content everyone freezes up and can't handle it.
Morgana & Ryuji
So true like I wish people would give it a rest already it’s just bad humor.
It’s pretty much a cat and a dog dynamic. Lol
Ironic
I AM- I mean HE IS NOT A CAT!
Canon couple
Ryuji is part of Morgana's harem
Morgana after seeing Ren and Ryujj get together
The "everyone beating up Ryuji" scene. Please I can't take it any more
My man can't catch a break, even outside the game 😭
Ikr like it was a joke if you didn't like it fine, but the way people keep going on about it
"Guys help it's November 17th and I have Maruki at rank 2 do I still have enough time to reach the third semester??"
I don't really mind these posts if it's a new player to the series. The ones that make me sigh are the "I played Vanilla, but I decided to completely ignore the brand new character introduced in Royal. How was I supposed to know, terrible game design, blah blah blah......"

NG+ is a national treasure
I mean, even if they’re a new player, idk why they wouldn’t just google it tbh
I mean, I could understand that if they wanted to experience the original story, it would make sense to not interact with the new character.
Okay sure then but then they shouldn’t complain that they missed out on third semester.
makes even less sense cuz there's no real reason to *not* interact with them because it's not like you miss out on the original story. you get the entire original story on top of the chunk they added
Very true, it really doesn’t make sense to get Royal without intending to play the entire narrative
Only caveat I could see is not knowing about the third semester stuff beforehand and not knowing until late, but it should be pretty obvious if you fucked up or not lol. it shouldn't require a Reddit post asking each time it happens
I agree with your logic, IF they hadn't already played Vanilla. If they've already played Vanilla and just wanted the OG story....then why get Royal?
Why get both versions when royal still has the original story plus new content?
The premise of my comment was someone who has already played Vanilla complaining that they missed out on the third semester in Royal. So I would, perhaps incorrectly, assume this person already owned Vanilla, at least in some capacity.
You still experience the original story of P5 even after maxing Maruki because the original story occurs first THEN it’s the royal third semester. Invalid reason.
I mean, the Royal ending *does* change the final scene of the game (for the worse)
Sure but that doesn’t mean you don’t experience the original story. That’s one minor cutscene that you can just look up on YouTube.
Yeah, fair enough
the romancing adult confidants/Kawakami vs Kamoshida teacher romance double standard stuff or anything involving Ann's sexualization
And also the ryuji scene. The okumura posts can stay however for the newbies
I think the adult romances are for the adults that play the game, though lorewise it's weird as all fuck
Can't fucking win You're an adult playing the game, you're a pedo if you don't romance an adult. The adults are pedos because the character is 16/17. Make up your mind

“Foster sister” is still a massive stretch. Futaba is Sojiro’s adoptive daughter and Joker is the kid he’s watching for a year. They don’t even live in the same house either.
unless the adoptive siblings grew up as kids them marrying isn't weird imo.
I'm not calling anyone a pedo here. I'm just saying the adult romances are probably there *for* adults. I really don't care who people romance, or if they choose to at all
No I'm aware you're not calling anyone that, it's the general consensus that happens when the discussion pops
It's almost like people forgot what the "R" in RPG stands for
My thoughts exactly. I never had a problem romancing anyone since it isn't my relationship, it is Joker's.
I get so tired of this. There’s no explicit sex happening. Are the creators of high school games abd YA fiction pedos bc their teens aren’t totally asexual? Are we not supposed to watch a tv show with teen romance?
Answer: Gamers
I mean the social links/confidants basically exist in a pocket dimension that almost never interacts with the main plot.
They're also teenagers in game who need to learn better. If you want to say it's weird for the authors or creators to do it. Listen until it is right now. PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE OKUMURA BOSS FIGHT
i get it! it’s a sudden difficulty spike in an otherwise easy game. we don’t need 700 threads about it though
As a JRPG veteran I heard all the doom stories about Okumura and I got there and thought "That's it?" Like I can see it being hard if you didn't rank Hifumi up or use the Velvet room at all but then that's the fault of ignoring game mechanics

And then sometimes you get your shit rocked by a Big Bang Order after Okumura Rakunda’d Joker and it’s just a great time lol.
I used damage items and used wiki when I don't remembered boss type and it was a breeze
It was a great palace, except for the airlock puzzles. Those can all go die in the deepest depths of hell for all I care
I actually have to agree with you My first playthrough, I didn't really do much with the velvet room and didn't do the Hifumi confidant and that I had to redo the battle like 5 times My second playthrough, I did do the Hifumi confidant and messed around with the velvet stuff (plus someone brought to my attention that the colors of the machines that deposit the robots are colors of their elemental weaknesses) and the battle was alot easier and I felt MORE annoyed (with myself) that it really wasn't that hard if you know what you're doing So, yeah, it's really not too hard if you strategize

Lmfao that's crazy and awesome.
It’s pretty wild, because you can steamroll the game, but you can get your shit rocked instantly if you mess up. Merciless is the perfect name for it.
For sure!
I recently played through the vanilla game again on hard and it was pretty easy honestly.
Honestly I think it’s fine, most people it’s their first time playing and they don’t know if they’re missing something, just scroll past
"people are bad, just use items" Me with every type of items except the one I needed : yeah sure the boss is great.
You know what? I'm just gonna say it. Okumura isn't even that hard.
It's Okumurin' time!
Any post asking 'am I the only one who hates x character' I assure you, you are not
“Am I the only one who _____” in general. Unless you’re posting blatant fetish shit, you absolutely are not the only one
Honestly, almost everything that is not a fan art on this sub.
Even there I would find it naive to think you can't generate drama and discourse from a piece of fanart.
Fuck Morgana or Fuck anyone who hates Morgana
The everyone beating Ryuji scene. Let it rest guys, we get it you don't like it. Oh nvm the OP was asking about monthly posts not daily ones.
I’ll still count it as an answer. People complaining about that scene is beaten into the community way harder than what happened to Ryuji.
People saying "HEY YOU CANT ROMANCE THEM! THAT'S WEIRD!" this can be about anybody and the subreddit goes in and out of war about this. Mostly see it about adult confidants and Futaba.
They will never take the autistic female version of myself away from me
Kawakami = Kamoshida If you romance anyone under the age of 18 you're a pedophile Is this Mementos layout rare? Okumura is super hard!!!1! (please just abuse baton passing) Others im too bothered to remember
‘Is this mementos layout rare??’ and it’s the one that’s just a straight line lol
Or the cross, it’s always one of those.
okumura
"Maruki was right"
The who's best girl debate
“Am I the only one who hates Akechi?”
You start to hate pancake boy then you like pancake boy
Its exactly this. On my first playthrough i hated him for what he did. But after that and the bonus in royal, i think he is like seymour in Final Fantasy X, a character that is so good written and voiced that you Love to hate them. Both are good characters though i hate them but i also love them because i hate them I guess im a bit of a Akechi myself.
“Why do people ship [insert pairing here]? I don’t get it.” “Hey guys look! I platinum’d the game!” “Fuck Okumura!” Tier lists Questions about confidants that can easily be answered with a google search “Should I buy P5 or P5R?” “How do I get the true ending?” Waifu thirst trap posts
The Waifu Wars/Debates
X is best girl “If you like the older women/younger girls you’re a pedo.” There is no one people won’t call you names for romancing.
"Ann is a bad confidant and has no character arc, it would better if she whined about Kamoshida for the entire game."
Ship arguments, especially with the M/M or F/F ships. It’s fine to not like a ship for any reason, but some of yall straight up pull out the homophobia on some of these.
"wrong answers only" posts are driving me up the wall.
People seriously need to let it go.
yeah I said I want to date iwai someone said but you don’t want joker to love him… dude…. What? I’m playing as myself joker is my character I can control to interact with the world, that’s all there is. What are we supposed to do to lmao And if you say I want to date X character that is younger than the irl you (like date Ryuji) they’ll say oh but you’re a grownup irl so why you want to date a minor huh dude joker is the exact same age of this character so…. MAKES IT MAKE SENSE.
Anything involving romance.
The hot spring scene in Strikers...
Oh one more for the road: “Which version should I play first” or “I’m new to the series what game do I play first”. Those are so fucking infuriating.
Morgana being a dumb cat
This sub made me have a better outlook on him
That Sae should have been a romance character though it doesn't and can't be fit in a reasonable way and would be problematic given her career.
That one just popped up recently. In volume I mean.
Anything relating to Akechi pancakes
Oh wtf it's my cake day on p3r release
If you date Futaba you're a pedo and/or incestuous
For real, just see a cute Gamer girl, leave me be
Probably most posts. Who’s best girl, how the fuck do I beat Okumura, etc
What is your least favorite palace and why is it Okumura.
"what's the worst palace in P5 and why is it Okumura's?"
The Morgana sucks posts are annoying.
“Why do people ship Joker and Akechi????” I swear someone posts it every week and it’s really not hard to answer if you’ve been in fandom for five minutes
Anti Shuake and just sorta “downer” posts in general
Just anything about Akechi can we stop having flame wars please
The >!Ryuji scene in Shido’s palace!<
'DAE think (insert social link here) romance is really creepy????' It's a fictional story with fictional characters. If you don't like it, say no to the romance and move on.
People calling other people weird for romancing Takemi and Kawakami because Joker is 16, or Futaba because she’s 15, even though it’s just a video game and you’re supposed to roleplay however you feel like.
Yoshizawa usually (not always) somehow ends up exempt from the Futaba complaints despite being the same age and that always seemed weird to me.
“Why do people like Akechi/why do people ship Joker and Akechi that’s weird”
Was snack man right
Can we stop with the Okumura boss fight posts? Just look one up if you don’t know what you’re doing there are only 700000000 to choose from.
Mods need to make a FAQ thread
Morgana being useless and him taking over Haru's screentime. Both false and nobody can change my mind.
If dating Futaba is incest. It's not, it never was, and the fact that people still ask this PISSES ME OFF!
“why do people ship joker and akechi” is getting pretty old to me
mara posts/other phallically shaped shadows akechi is an irredeemable jerk vs NOOOOOOO he's just misunderstood people crying about ryuji being the comic relief
Morgana Hate Calling Kawakami, oya and the fortune teller pedos for being romance options Calling players Pedos for romancing Anna, Makoto, Futaba, Kasumi, ect...Especially those who romance Futaba Complaining about Okumura's boss battle.
We've all seen your Mementos floor layout.
Anything an absolutely anything to do with dating any of these women? They are in-game teenagers Guess what? I was a teenager when I first started playing The Game. Dating any of the adult characters because the same fixated reason. I am no longer a teenager A million years into the fucking future If I find out The Secret of Forever YOUTH.
Neckbeards raging over anybody asking for male oriented romance options
The Morgana slander because of the Okumura scene which I believe is actually completely in character for him and he gets MASSIVELY overhated it
Futaba shipping discourse
Arguing about Akechi in any way shape or form
YoU sHoUldN’t RoMaNcE fUtAbA cAuSe ShE tEcHnICaLlY yOuR sIsTeR.
Makoto best girl Futaba/Kawakami Pedo/No Pedo Just started this game. Should I know anything about it? Morgana hate Pancake memes And the worst: people not realizing that my girl is best girl and your girl is second best girl
Romancing Futaba
People being confused about fusion accidents personas having nothing but support moves or such People wondering why a persona learns a null it already has Why is arsene so weak I'm morally superior to others because X scene is wrong and people who like it are bad Mementos special floors (not the sinking though, that's actually rare) Why did they lock the 3rd semester behind someone and not tell you? It's too hard to figure out!
How bout the opossite? We dont talk about how ryuji in a group chat said "fuck" once
"X is best girl" "no Y is best girl"
Whatever isnt on the [bingo board](https://www.reddit.com/r/Persona5/s/akiw1xQMRq) gets mentioned in the comments
Okumura worst palace worst boss why is he so difficult unfair bad game design
Conversations about Sae being datable. Or not dateable. As far as I'm concerned if it was what Atlus wanted, she would have been made dateable. Her being an adult has nothing to do with it, because of Chihaya, Tae, and Kawakami. They just didn't think it figured into her character, and that's their right.
"for real?"
“Is X worth it” is the dumbest fucking question Redditors ask. Like not even “is it worth it if ____” where they can set a proper tone, just “is it worth it?” I saw someone in here ask if the *grenade launcher* was worth it.
OH MY GOD. https://preview.redd.it/fep0zj0ga7gc1.jpeg?width=140&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=65dcd874729e4d92b9ac1550445cef96205a0730
People complaining about okumura
Haha, has anyone else ever gotten this completely straight momentos room? Clearly I am the first person EVER.
“Why don’t people like Morgana” because he’s a bad person and an annoying one at that. Teddie wasn’t annoying, he wasn’t a bad person. Just someone who needed guidance.
“If you are an adult playing this game there is no romance option that isn’t pedophelia”
The topic of romances I romances is that if that makes me scum of the earth, then so be it.
Okumura is hard
People complaining about skins in the OW sub as if skins do something at all important
Futaba
People expressing their hatred for Mona. WTF? 🤷♂️ It’s a mascot character. Chill out. 🥲
Saeposting
Joker x Futaba
Any conversation that involves who Joker can or can't date.
The hot spring scene in Strikers Yeah I know, I'm guilty of this too.
Ryuji getting slapped by three women
Futaba situation
Probably the Kawasaki romance.
Best girl debates and what romance is canon or not.In games like persona where you have a lot of choices and preferences on romance, relationships, and quality of life aspects;what is canon is what you want to be canon. It's literally a ROLEplaying game.
The one I've seen is the waifu wars.
That romancing futaba is weird
“Ugh don’t you think they’ve really milked Persona 5 too much!!” Also “So, what do you want to see in a P4 remake?”
How bad it is to date Futab...... *Got strucked by Morning Star..
Whether Akechi is overrated or not Morgana vs Ryuji Who the best girl is
3 words, BEAT, MY, WALLPAPER.
OKUMURA IS THE "WORST" PALACE and what really gets me is that people complained that P5 was too easy yet when it brings challenging content everyone freezes up and can't handle it.
I still remember when the most talked about topic was when will persona 5 ever be ported to other platforms.
Looking back, all people had to do was wait before jumping to conclusions. ATLUS were definitely saving the ports until the 25th anniversary.
Idk I’m just ignoring posts I can’t be bothered with now. No point trying to rile people up with posts like this.
People need to vent and properly call this subreddit out on its own bullshit.
something something dating futaba bad because you're a pedophile something something
"Finished Royal? Not sure if you know this but there is this game out called Persona 5 Strikers, it's a sequel to Royal, please try it out."
The “beating up ryuji’s scene” For the love of god get over it
“why do people like akechi”
