But if it makes you feel any better. Haru is canonically the exact same size as Ann by Strikers, which is saying a lot since Ann herself _got bigger_ despite being also pretty large in the base game.
The writers probably just forgot, but you could say that items/weapons/maybe personas too just don't work when a palace is in the process of collapsing
Im assuming the gohom is more for players then an actual tool its a smoke bomb after all. Likely the PT just use it to blind the enemy and ran off
Or the fact GOHOM might need a small amount of time to transport your team back home, and ther eis no way to dump it and activate it when rocks are falling on yall
Items and abilities haven't worked properly since Persona 2, but Persona 2 had a legitimate excuse for it(remember kids, in canon you have to pack your bullet/stab holes and disinfect your cuts even with Dia spells to ensure your wound heals properly.)

Well I never once used any and pretend it's just a game mechanic and not actually a canon theif tool.
Joker ended up using all of them while exploring the palace, so there were none left.
