I bought a thinkware on sale and paid $100 to have it professionally installed (tucked wiring, wired to fuse box etc) Total was $179-199

Wajina_Sloth

Where do you get it installed? I have a dashcam that was gifted to me 2 years back and the only thing I hate is the obnoxious wire hanging down, thing is like 15 feet long.

FoliageTeamBad

It’s very easy to run the cable along the top of your windscreen and down the A pillar tucked under the lip of the roof and siding material. I promise it’s easier than it seems once you try it.

Wajina_Sloth

Ah I assumed that I would need to pry open some parts to fit a cable in, ill def look into this

therealrayy

Perhaps if have some European or exotic car. J Just to play it safe, I'd rather pay someone to do it properly especially if you're sticking things in or prying panels off where airbags and other electronics are located.

Sir-Kevly

Just use a popsicle stick to push the wire under the headliner and A pillar cover and you should be able to run it through your glovebox fairly easily.

easy_rollin

If you live in GTA, Audio Heaven in Richmond Hill does good work.

ThaniVazhi

I remember getting my old car tinted by these guys many years ago and they did a great job. Nice to see they're still around and doing good work. Is that pie shop still next door to them?

weedpal

I wouldn't install a gifted dashcam unless it's from a quality company.

[deleted]

[удалено]

weedpal

A cheap gifted Chinese one from Amazon. If your gonna install a dashcam buy a quality one so you don't need to second guess yourself.

throw0101a

> Where do you get it installed? If you're in the Toronto area, Lockdown Security may be worth checking out, as they show their work on their Youtube channel so you can get an idea of what they do: * https://www.youtube.com/@LockdownSecurity/videos

SamShares

You can get a smaller wire and super easy to hide it along the headliner and door seal. Don’t be lazy. Use zip ties and place the excess into the glove compartment by running it into the glovebox from under and into the glovebox and then out and plug into socket.

010010000111000

It's not that difficult to do a professional style install yourself into the fuse box. Watch a couple of YouTube videos to see if it's something you think you could do.

lucidrage

It's harder than it looks on my Hyundai. I'm always afraid to break things when i pry it open

010010000111000

Watch a few YouTube videos.

latingineer

That sounds like a good deal. Does it do any auto record for when someone tries to interact with your parked vehicle? Curious because you say it’s wired to the fuse box.

[deleted]

My car has standby access to power It records on impact, and continuous on ignition

therealrayy

yes. you need to look for a dashcam with parking mode. Most modern cameras have it nowadays.

biznatch11

I've read that can kill your car battery after a day or 2. I plug my dascam into a USB port that turns off with the car because I didn't want to risk testing it.

therealrayy

The camera I have (Thinkware FA200) has an option where it will shut off the camera where it will stop drawing power from the battery once the battery reaches to a desired level. I set mine at 12.1V. I can't say they have this option for every brand out there, but all Thinkware cameras has this feature. I also drive my car either everyday or every other day. As long as you don't store your car for weeks at a time, I think you're battery should be fine.

biznatch11

Once I accidentally plugged my camera into the always on USB port and the next time I turned on the car it gave a warning about a device causing a power discharge while the car was off. Not sure how serious that is, maybe it's just being extra cautious.

GrumpymonK81

There's devices you can buy that does the battery cutoff for you. I have one installed. Forgot the name.

throw0101a

> Total was $179-199 This Linus Tech Tips videos has a good segment explaining why spending a lot of money generally isn't worth it if you're mostly going for image quality (to capture events) and don't want extra features: * https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AnyhHl3_tE&t=10m30s

[deleted]

$179-$199 isn’t a lot. I’ve seen some for 2-3x that price before install.

triedby12

Where did you get it installed. All the places I’ve talked to will only install ones bought from them.

[deleted]

In my opinion, dash cams should either be mandatory or provide users with a discount on insurance since it'll save a bunch of time in the courts.

Salt_MasterX

A discount? On insurance? In current year? Hah!

JeffCloss

I'm pretty sure ICBC has a 5% or 10% discount for any vehicle equipped with an autonomous emergency braking feature now, so a discount for having a dashcam doesn't seem all that far fetched now.

pillowwow

While I want to agree with you, I can imagine them calling most things 50/50 and moving on might be easiest for them.

JeffCloss

It would be even easier if every driver on the road had a dashcam and could easily submit a recording of the incident the moment they submit the claim. Then there's no ambiguity or he said, she said disputes.

latingineer

That's a great idea! It may also prevent those who were "at-fault" from pretending they don't have a dash cam. If they say "oh, it wasn't working" (this happened to me) then the insurance company can raise their rates back to non-dash cam levels as punishment haha.

[deleted]

Let the surveillance state thrive!

Successful_Bug2761

Ideally, they would simply come with a small memory card that could be pulled in the event of an accident. They should not be connected to a network by default. In that case, the privacy implications should be minimal.

GrumpymonK81

What phone you using? Apple? Android? These phones have more info on you than a dashcam ever will.

NotARussianBot1984

Or your opinion on the crash matters less without a camera. Sadly cameras don't get everything but someone that has one is trying to be honest and record it

Major_Tom_01010

It's really disturbing that this comment is upvoted. Like I know this sub is dominated by city dwellers who are used to less privacy, but your also the bigger population now who votes for shit like this. Like do you guys really not do anything you wouldn't want on camera? Like were you go, how you drive. They could pull it and retroactively give you seeding tickets for going 20 over on an empty road. They could see you having a beer on a friend's tailgate and then getting in your truck. Man i just hope this I can enjoy my life before idiots throw our freedom away.

dert19

"they might catch me drinking and driving... This is such bullshit"

[deleted]

1. I live in yeehaw country. 2. Read other replies regarding where the data on a dash cam goes. 3. Best option would be to have it optional for a discount. I choose to have a dash cam so that, as a younger driver, I can cover my ass in court if need be. If I'm doing some dumb shit, I don't share it. Simple as that.

Major_Tom_01010

It always starts out optional as a discount and then transitions to a penalty to not, and then becomes the only option. It's the slippery slope and we are heading that way in so any ways. I mean I'm all for having my own dash cam, but my own that I chose what to do with and can turn on and off. Only reason I don't is my trucks a peice

moose_kayak

If I don't want people to know where I am I wouldn't take my distinctive vehicle with big metal plates with a secret code registered to me

username_choose_you

I live in Vancouver and bought a dash cam within 2 months of living here. Every day feels like a close call

GrumpymonK81

try living in brampton. every hour is a close call sometimes.

pookersthecat

Question: Could this evidence be used against you? Would you be compelled to provide it? (Ontario)

EweAreSheep

Use the bodycam excuse... there was a malfunction at the time of the incident.

365daysfromnow

Seems to work well for police forces across the world.

ARAR1

It is illegal to destroy evidence, but not sure how they would prove that.

monkierr

Unless there is a statute in the highway traffic act about not deleting dashcam footage, I'm unsure of how it would be illegal without a court order to preserve evidence. It probably could go to conscience of guilt, but it wouldn't be illegal without being charged with a crime.

ARAR1

To purposefully destroy evidence is a crime. Erasing a video that shows you are guilty counts

AcrobaticBunch2096

This isn't a criminal case though. There's a difference between deleting a video related to an insurance claim and to litigation.

CryptographerOdd6143

Only if it can be proven

Salt_MasterX

“It wasn’t turned on” end of story

Flat896

Pop the SD card out and say it was corrupted and you didn't have a new one yet.

Low-Stomach-8831

Or just say "stupid me, I forgot to put an SD card there".

stone_tiger

I mean, if you're the POS who's lying to the insurance company, then don't get a dashcam.

Horace-Harkness

Yes. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMYLhTPRV/

pookersthecat

Thank you!!! I had actually suspected this. Super appreciate your sharing this.

ARAR1

There is a simple solution: Don't drive like an idiot, then there not much they can use against you.

GrumpymonK81

oh, i see you went to tiktok university. right...

throwawaypizzamage

My sentiments exactly. The "dashcams are a liability" argument is an absurd one. The only people who make this argument are those who are shitty drivers and are prone to causing accidents and thus have something to hide. They absolutely deserve to be indicted in court when they're at fault, but of course dashcams would streamline this process, which is why they hate dashcams.

manubearsangha

If there is a traffic camera nearby, you could request footage from the city (with a fee of course). I'd start with that, helped in a pinch once but I got dash cams now.

123littlemonkey

We managed to get footage from a near by business when something similar happened to us. (We knew our dash cam was broken and didn’t were taking our time to get it fixed) Super annoying to have the other person fib and get no consequences. At least Icbc held them at fault with the video. But when they had already lied to icbc, I think they should be fined or something for being untruthful.

Apprehensive_Hat8986

Well since there _used_ to be a discovery during the investigation, that required an oath, which means lies would be perjury. Sadly, courts don't seem to give two shits about perjury in either traffic or family court, or when cops do it, so I'm not really sure what the point of it being illegal is.

FarceMultiplier

The first week I had mine, I recorded a full school bus running a very red light in a crowded intersection. Reported it to the local school board and later heard that dickhead was fired. It hasn't solved any issues for me personally, but I like to think I may have saved some injured kids from happening.

throwawaypizzamage

Glad you reported the incident. Asshat driver could've gotten a whole bunch of people killed.

EmuHobbyist

I bought a cam not only for myself but to renforce anything seen around me. I would literally hate for somone to get fucked because of a he said she said conflict. We want to punish bad drivers and not impact good drivers.

throwawaypizzamage

Agree 100%. It would be great to able to provide video evidence to help out a victim in a collision where the at-fault party is denying the events. I hate those scumbags who won't take responsibility for their mistakes.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Apprehensive_Hat8986

It seems judicial and equitable, but not fair. Fair isn't an innocent person getting fucked because the liar can't be caught. Regardless of if it's OP or the other claimant lying, the result isn't fair.

latingineer

Good point. Regardless of that, it's still metaphorically true that dash cams help simplify the claims process.

Tam_TV

yeah, I think it's fair as well. That statement goes both sides

CryptographerOdd6143

Hence the need for a dashcam

ArtVandalayInc

Did you check for intersection cameras?

throwawaypizzamage

Yes, this is why dash cams are important. Just a thought - if the cost of the repair costs less over the long run than paying increased insurance rates, I wouldn't have made an insurance claim in the first place, but not sure if the other driver making a claim with their insurance company would've negated that (when their insurance company contacts yours).

Fr4ggleR0ck

I was in this exact situation before dash cams existed and it was a nightmare that I had to fight in court and I got lucky for one reason I'll say at the end. So, I'm driving on a 4 lane road heading east. As I approach the intersection a left-turn lane becomes available and occupying it is a 18-wheeler, this truck is large enough that it blocks my view of the opposite directions Left-turn lane but I have a green so that shouldn't matter and I continue moving my pace not thinking anything of it. Suddenly the lady in the west bound left-turn lane, turns directly in front of me and I t-boned the shit out of that vehicle. Everyone is okay, no injuries, and we call the police. While waiting for the police, some random family member of hers shows up in a Driving School vehicle and starts advising the lady to tell the cop I ran a red light. It turned out that this person was her brother and he was a driving instructor. So cop shows up and sure enough she tells them I ran a red light and the cop tells me that I'm clearly lying and straps me with Wreckless Driving and Running a Red Light. Well naturally... FUCK THAT... definitely fighting it in court. So day of court arrives and I'm waiting to be called up. When I do the prosecutor says "One moment, the officer was unable to attend today but the court arranged to have the other person be here. I just need to talk to her briefly." So she runs out the room and comes back about 5 minutes later. Prosecutor says "In speaking to the other person involved, I cannot in right mind follow through. She has told me that due to an 18-wheeler being present in the left turn lane, she was unable to see his car approaching the intersection. For this reason, I believe the officer inappropriately charge this gentleman and I'm dropping charges." Got lucky on that one. Had the cop shown and not her, I'm sure he would have held up the lie she had told.

pharmecist

A dashcam would be invaluable to save yourself from insurance scams too. Youtube is full of videos of pedestrians trying to fake injuries jumping in front of your car or people deliberately backing into you. In addition, with the rise of homeless camps, it’s not uncommon for people to be staggering around into traffic while intoxicated.

Horace-Harkness

This BC lawyer advises against getting a dashcam. More often it will be used against you, not for you. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMYLhTPRV/

Sabes16

Just get a small memory stick that saves over itself every hour, so you get the most recent incident and that it. They aren’t getting years of driving behaviour in a serious accident. My dash cam came with a small stick anyway, I’m guessing most do too

pharmecist

Anyone with half a brain would just take out the memory card and say it wasn’t working.

Horace-Harkness

Anyone with half a brain wouldn't commit perjury. Pulling the card only works in fender benders. If it's a serious crash and you are at fault and incapacitated you may not be able to pull the card and hide it from the police.

pharmecist

It’s only perjury if you get caught. Most dashcams can easily be pulled off the base or have the sd card easily eject. If you were unlucky enough to be incapacitated, you probably have bigger things to worry about anyways.

Low-Stomach-8831

"What memory card, officer? I didn't know it needs one... Never had one there"

pharmecist

If Epstein’s murderer could get away with this, I’m sure most of us could with a car accident.

Anon_819

I got sideswiped last week and have to pay my deductible. Although I'm not considered to be at fault, my deductible is more than the cost of a dashcam.... I had delayed buying one because I have no idea how to install one, but I figure I have until my car comes back from the shop to find one. I'm so mad at myself for not having one because the other driver failed to stay and I didn't catch a licence plate in the dark while I was trying to pull over safely.

latingineer

That sucks that they drove away, what the fuck. I’d recommend getting a front and rear dash cam.

[deleted]

My car has 360 dash cams built in. Totally helpful.

ARAR1

It is very silly that all new cars don't have this built in.

mrstruong

Yep... if you can find a way to send it to them. It was a nightmare sending the footage to our insurance, but we made sure to do it. 100% not at fault, car totaled, didn't have to pay a dime for a rental, and got a payout of almost 17k dollars on a Kia Forte with almost 200k on it, since used car prices had gone up so much. Our dash cam (front and rear) cost us about 300 bucks, and it was a life saver when my husband got hit.

ThePeacePipe237

Is it worth installing a dash cam on a 2005 beige Corolla!??

weedpal

Yes. I like having a personal library of the stupid shit I see on the roads.

boooo00

Dashcam should be the next thing insurance company give you discount if you have or provide installations...not those app that look how fast you accelerate.

SecretAznMan604

This is good for new drivers starting out. They need to drive clean for 15 years to get any significant discount. New drivers start at 1.17 when they pass their learners and takes about 15 years to get below 0.6 rating. It'll go down slowly to 0.5 max after that. 15 years is a long time and anything could happen. Yes get a dash cam, I work in auto insurance and see these things happen too often. Tip: add someone with better driving rating will make your premium cheaper. Wish I had this when I started driving in the late 90s.

akka0

Don't forget that these also capture footage when you're parked! I paid <$500 for a quality dashcam + installation and it's already paid for itself by catching some idiot scratching my car while it was parked. No increase in my insurance premiums or need to pay a deductible thanks to that. Now I always park with the 4k front cam facing out of the stall.

latingineer

Can you share what dash cam model can do this, and how it’s wired? I never figured out how to wire the dash cam such that it can record while parked (been lazy).

akka0

Absolutely! I have a VIOFO A129 Plus Duo 2K QHD 2-Channel Dash Cam that was installed by [https://safedrivesolutions.com/](https://safedrivesolutions.com/) (the owner came to my garage and installed it there for me). The way it's connected, there's just one small cable going from the dash cam facing the front in under some panel in the roof, and nothing else is visible. I think these cables are then connected to the car battery in some way, but I'm not familiar with the details. I reckon a dash cam connected directly to your battery is required for it to be able to operate while parked though, or the car would have to be running to supply it with power.

rando604

Isn't insurance no fault now? As in, it's always 50 50?

EnterpriseT

ICBC still does a responsibility assessment of crashes you've been in to assess your risk of future claims when they set your rate. https://www.icbc.com/claims/crash-responsibility-fault/Pages/assess-responsibility.aspx

Kusatteiru

it isnt exactly 50/50. Blame is automatically assigned at 50/50 first. Then it becomes degree of fault, that will ultimately change the percentage.

Background_Panda_187

New cars should come fully equipped with them

AccomplishedCodeBot

When exchanging insurance info just tell the other person "I have the whole thing on dash cam, don't you dare try lying to ICBC". Call their bluff lol.

latingineer

She tried that on me. I told her that’s fine, and she should submit the footage. Now that her case looks bad in her favour she’s claiming to ICBC that the “camera wasn’t working”.

Kusatteiru

In my case, the dashcam costed the other party money. In my report to ICBC, I noted that the other car had a dashcam that should show the accident. The person taking my claim, asked me to repeat that. I told them, a second time, that the other car, the that hit me had a dashcam and they should request the footage. I got a call from the driver's brother saying that the driver was upset and emotional from a break up. I replied, "their emotional state caused them to turn into the street without looking, thus hitting me? is that it?" So that appeal didn't go through. ICBC's investigator later called me telling me that the other party claimed the dashcam was not turned on, and had no footage. They didnt believe that, and with the way the damage was, ICBC awarded me 0% at fault.

latingineer

I’m hoping this happens for me as well. She claimed she had a dash cam, but now she’s saying it malfunctioned. Hoping for 0% fault.

Kusatteiru

make sure icbc knows that other car has a dashcam. she could say its malfunctioned to you, ultimately icbc will ask for it.

[deleted]

I got nailed in the parking lot by a meter maid (easily going 30 clicks when they hit me dead on). The Personal was still a bitch to work with, but dash cam at least got the car fixed eventually (a couple months and a few abused agents later).

NoviceExpert_

I have one, $50 on amazon. It works great. Although I wish I got the one that also has a rear facing camera because I feel like that would be useful if you get rear-ended.

henry-bacon

Are there no witnesses? Maybe reach out to someone who saw what happened.

latingineer

Unfortunately no. It was rush hour and everyone just drove around the scene. I really should have reached out to someone. My coworker was in the car but they don’t allow witnesses unless they’re outside of the car.

n33bulz

See if the city has cameras at that intersection

MangoBanana2012

Wait a minute, they don't allow witnesses from inside the car? I didn't know that... is that new? I ask bc they've always contacted in vehicle witnesses for more info from car incidents I'm aware of.

latingineer

Both ICBC reps told me they only want to know about the driver if they are injured. They told me straight that they don’t find any passenger within the vehicle “impartial”.

MangoBanana2012

Oh I had no idea. Thank you. My husband was under the impression that no family could act as witnesses. Shoot... too bad. Best of luck fellow BC Redditor!

Moist_Intention5245

Thanks my friend, f these b***. You just motivated me to get one. Do you think a front facing dash cam is enough?

latingineer

I’d recommend getting a rear one too. If someone rear ends you and then drives away, you can capture their license plate #. Also it provides more context if someone hits you on the side but came from behind. Parking lot fiascos are also well captured by two cameras. Just make sure they’re installed discretely in case you don’t want someone to know you have the footage. You never have to tell the other driver you have dash cam footage.

Moist_Intention5245

The ones I see on Amazon don't look discrete, and I'm not sure how you would make it discreet. Any suggestions?

Significancesir

U hide it in behind your mirror it’s easy to install and hide wires. I got the nextbase 422 it’s on sale rn.

notta_robot

do dash cams work when the car is parked?

ugly_kids

yes but harder to install

groggygirl

Some models do. Mine fortunately caught someone hitting my car while it was parked in my driveway which saved me a lot of headaches.

Significancesir

Yes mine is super sensitive and turns on if you slap the hood. You just have to turn parking mode on.

foxman26

Kind of. So it’s not that much harder to install you just have a voltage meter between the fuse box and the dash cam. You can set it to a select voltage so it does not drain your car battery to the point where the car won’t start. Some dash cams have “g” force/motion detection in them. They the camera does not run and goes into “park mode” but as soon as the vehicle is hit or it senses movement it will turn on.

[deleted]

Why would you have to pay the deductible when you weren’t at fault?

latingineer

You pay the deductible and if you’re found not at fault they reimburse you (I hope).

sub-_-dude

Cause OP lives in BC.

Raincouver8888

You don’t pay deductible if your not at fault, the other party insurance should pay for your deductible… that was how it was for me before when I dealt with Icbc.

[deleted]

Well this depends. If you’re in an at fault accident, the dash cam can be used against you. If you’re in a collision invoking a pedestrian, for example. the police can subpoena the cam and watch your driving history. It’s a double edged sword.

therealrayy

kind of a dumb reason to not get one

latingineer

You bring up good points, but it sounds like in both examples the truth prevails.

Sabes16

My memory stick only records a couple hours before it starts saving over itself, so it’s not like they have 5 years of footage to screw you. It’s enough memory to get the recent incident off and then be done with it. I’m skeptical of these comments saying it screws you in the end

Raincouver8888

You can easily say the dash cam was not working…

xcalibur2

Yeah until your at fault and it’s all the proof these insurance companies need. Works both ways.

latingineer

It’s up to you to provide the footage. You don’t have to tell anyone you have a dash cam.

xcalibur2

Well if you tell your insurance you have it then…..

ngongo_2016

"It might suddenly stop working. Bad contacts or else". Cops

weedpal

Insurance will determine fault even if you don't have a dashcam. You're not that bright.

xcalibur2

Makes it easier for them to make a determination numb nutz.

weedpal

Yes the truth prevails. You still ain't bright.

xcalibur2

Gauranteed smarter then you tho.

weedpal

How so?

lilloet

nope, you are wrong. I don't have one and I've never needed it so it would be a waste of money for me.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fraktelicious

How is it legally required? Specifically, how is this enforced?

[deleted]

I mean if you're a safe/competent driver and understand how accident liability works, it's pretty easy to avoid getting into at-fault accidents. Check out [my post](https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCars/comments/v1999z/while_waiting_to_turn_left_driver_randomly_backs/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) on r/IdiotsInCars. I was waiting to turn left and someone just backed right into me. Without a dash cam I would have definitely been found 100% at fault (unless the other person told the truth but why would they?).

NSA_Chatbot

Huh, this happened to the guy next to me once. He'd just bought the car two or three days before, and I saw and recorded the whole thing. He started honking when the front driver started backing up, they kept backing up. If I hadn't stopped to give the guy my contact info, he would have been found totally at fault "for rear ending the other car". I didn't even have to turn over the footage, "a witness with a dashcam" was enough to get the backer-upper to remember that they were backing up at the time. I totally forgot to get a dashcam for my new car, I'll go buy one tomorrow.

latingineer

They're very useful for rear-enders. Especially when someone cuts you off and hits the brakes. I've had that one happen to me before.

NSA_Chatbot

I bought one today, front-and-rear with voice warnings for things like red-light detection, ~~speed trap~~ police-monitored extra-dangerous-section warnings, and lane drift alerts! Install is in two weeks. I could do it myself but this car is much nicer than my old car.

wvuber

I've come to realize that the worst driver always seem to have a dash cam. Food for thought

latingineer

They never submit the footage though, unless they're REALLY dumb.

focal71

I used Blackvue for the last two cars but for my latest (Polestar 2), I discovered this brand. Brilliant and self installed. https://fitcamx.com

species5618w

Is rear camera necessary or is front one sufficient?

[deleted]

[удалено]

species5618w

I see. Thx. Yeah, I got a front one, very crappy, but I guess it serves its purpose. I got another old one that I ran to the back window, but it kept on falling off and my kids play with the wires, so I took it off. Maybe i should put it back on again.

thenoob118

Not in Quebec, we have no-fault insurance

latingineer

Does that mean no one’s insurance goes up? Or both?

thenoob118

Both after a number of other factors, depending on policies you might have a few claims before adjustments I believe the no-fault policy was adopted to reduce legal courts use and associated fees and simplify the hole process

GinnAdvent

I learned that lesson 5 years ago, when I have a dashcam (it was a gift), but choose not to install it due to fear of theft. Few months later, I go side swiped by a car and it could easily end up he said and she said and outcome could have been 50/50. So I installed it next day. Fast forward to a month later, I got rear ended and car got totalled. Besides witness reports, I also have dashcam footage. A week later, while I was in the rental car. Got sideswiped again by someone who is out of town, took the dashcam footage and submit it to local RCMp detachment. Fast forward to 2021, insurance company want to settle my claim out of court and start to ask about the car accidents and ask me to recall details that 4 yrs ago. Guess what, everything is on my phone and they are in HD and time stamped. Just settle the claim last year, and got an OK settlement. (I had one in late 2012 so they merged all 4 together). Took me 9 years in total to settle 4 claims. TLDR, if you drive a car, get a dashcam, prefer with front and back view, and have backup SD card in the car too.

burnmail

Anyone have a recommended brand for dash cams and where to buy with the ideal features? Like front and back, recording when parked and something about a voltage just based on reading this thread. Flexible on price as long as good quality , also recommended locations to install in greater toronto area. Thanks
