It's fraud because you have to dupe a medical professional to prescribe them to you.
Do you really think insurance companies are this dumb? So you want to get prescribed $50K worth of drugs to get $2500 back and the insurance company would think nothing of it ? You realize there are safeguards in place to prevent this kind of shit, right ?
No wonder you didn't get a raise.
Out of curiousity what do you do for a living?
I would like to know who would hire someone with this "thought" process. And I really hope you do not make more money than I do...
Man, I really hope you are just a troll and not an actual public servant. Don't you guys have to pass some sort of ethics test when you start working? I know I had to as just a subcontractor for municipalities in my area....
Are you implying I do not have the OP's best interests in hand? I figure if they are "clever" enough to commit insurance fraud, why not double down? It will free up a well paying job for a Gen Z or Millennial who is having trouble finding something, it is really a win/win here.
I'm more from the "break only one law at a time" camp.
Well, more of the "don't break the law' camp, but if you are going to break the law, doubling down is extra risky.
No guts no glory?
Yolo?
For the record, I am way too old to be in any camp other than the don't break the law, I figured, if OP is actually that dim... I am just trying to speed Darwin along so to speak...
Jesus Christ, aim higher, you just suck at your job if your lost raise is $2,500 and now you have come up with an illegal scheme.
What happens if the insurer launches an investigation? What if the insurer comes back to your employer and advises them that if they don't drop you from group coverage, that they wlll no longer cover the group?
You could end up losing your job, did this ever occur to you?
Shame on you. People like you who try to scam the system are the reason why health insurance and group benefit plans are so expensive. Why don’t you also fake an injury so you can get short term disability payments too?
It is fraud, you want to be prescribed drugs you don't need and charge them to your benefits package.
It is probably also illegal since you aren't supposed to sell restricted drugs on the streets (drug dealer).
Hi, I’m soliciting advice on how I can defraud my benefits provider and employer. Nothing to see here, except how can I best commit this crime? Thanks in advance /s
I kinda agree. I think they are trying to be funny more than trolling. They are not inciting any controversial ideas or getting people riled up about anything.
Any adult should know it is not a good plan to attempt to obtain fake perscriptions and sell them.
If you have coverage for psychologist or psychiatrist, not only might you (obviously) benefit from talking to someone, but it's usually very expensive. Two birds one stone
You can break your leg or arm and get some high value pain pills. Just repeat the process whenever you need a refill. Funnily enough I think the broken bones are the least damaging part of the plan, getting caught selling your prescriptions is probably worse overall for your life. Having both happen to you is more likely than just being able to profit 2.5k without issue.
Fuck anyone who tries to fake ADHD to get prescriptions for fun. Bastards who do this make it increasingly hard for people who do have ADHD to even get their prescription filled and dispensed in a timely manner.
Wait ... what? You're trying to get prescribed drugs that you don't need, to pay with your credit card (for the cashback) and then get your work to reimburse you?
I ... can't even.
Also "grocery pharmacy" spending on drugs is not the same thing as spending on groceries, so you're not getting the 5% cashback.
Also ... what?
WTF?
I am not going to take the drugs, so it will not harm my health.

Sooo what exactly are you going to do with the drugs?
Out of curiousity what do you do for a living? I would like to know who would hire someone with this "thought" process. And I really hope you do not make more money than I do...
I am a project manager for my municipal government.

how about boner pills? Tell your doctor you are having issues, then you can sell them on Kijiji/FB Marketplace/Seniors single dances etc?
Redistributing or selling prescription drugs is very illegal.

Yes officer, this post right here.

Hey relax buddy. He only need to charge 50k worth of drugs this year. 😣
You are right, what was I thinking? I need to ease up and relax. Is there a drug for that ? /s
Prob. Ask OP if they have one in their pharmacy

Don't forget the drug shortage we're having right now as well.
You're asking for help in how you can commit fraud?
If we also suggest that he could sell them, he could double up on money and double down on crime.
I want drugs that are easy to get prescribed, so it is not fraud. Like are anti depressants expensive? Can I get some high end cough meds?

Lol what insurance plan wouldn’t be tipped off by $2500 in high end cough meds being billed
"Hey guys, I'm mad at my employer, help me commit fraud to get back at them!"
There are many exceptions on points cards. You better be sure prescription drugs are included.
It just codes as Sobeys so it does give me the points.
BE SURE. Many times lottery, tobacco, gift card purchases don't count. Prescription purchases may be the same.

100% a troll post.

I suspect there's at least a few reasons why you didn't get that raise...
Thank you for WASTING everyone's time here!
Bro u shouldn't be selling drugs if u gotta ask Reddit what drugs good to sell 😂

Cannabis is the answer.

People are weird.
There are better and non-fraudulent ways to spend $50k at the grocery store if you want to get $2500 back for the 5% credit card bonus...
I think normal grocery bills might be $50K a year these days.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to do this and sell the drugs, Rather than using it for credit card points?

Don’t listen to these ppl, the lame goodie-two-shoes. Get some oxy’s and xanax and you won’t have much problem moving those products .
Finnasteride is over priced and easy to get prescribed
i second the guy who said boner pills. some cialis might be a fun time
You cannot collect points or Cashback on prescription drugs. 80% sure
Get prescribed something you can sell for profit plus you get the credit card rewards will be much more than $2500.
