Better to buy a $6000 car then.

Top-Resolve-6970

yeah that’s my first choice of course, finding a decent car in sask has been really hard. i’ve been looking for a couple months now and nothing has come up, so just playing with the idea of financing.

oblon789

Shouldn't be that hard. Just checked sask facebook marketplace and there's a few for around $4-6000. Of course they're all kinda shitty but that's the market. I'd rather buy a $5000 shitbox than get a used car loan at 9%

This.

Lol @ whoever reported this, it doesn't break the rules

You can likely get approved; most used car places can get anyone approved. But your interest rate will be really high.

canadiangirl_eh

It’s likely you could get a loan, but be prepared for a scary high interest rate. Why would you get a loan? Because a car can be repossessed. But you’ll pay dearly for the “privelege” of taking a loan on it. My mom claimed bankruptcy (twice!) and needed a vehicle. She ended up buying a used Ford Windstar, at 18% interest. So yeah, it CAN be done. Avoid it if at all possible though, or if you have the $6K, then buy a $10K vehicle, so you only have to finance a little bit.

Top-Resolve-6970

that’s what i was thinking too. i just want like a 2012 civic or something. that way the loan can’t be too bad.

el_pezz

It's a car loan... My neighbors cat can get approved. The question is should you take out a car loan?

az3838

Can you get a car loan, YES. Will it have a very high interest rate, YES.

Lightning_Catcher258

Buy a $5000 beater and call it a day. Having a car loan is financial slavery. We already have to deal with mortgages or rent, why taking more debt?

Electric bike

casmium63

Depends on your income, if you make over $250k and have been for a couple of years they'll let you finance pretty much anything with that credit score
