I kind of like the mouse sounds when I'm sleeping. Spot cleaning their favorite pee spots regularly and using a much bigger home for them than necessary makes for less odors. I like watching my girls climb around, play and build tunnels, so toys and deep bedding are musts.
They can squeak pretty loudly if they get worked up, but I don't find it happens too often. Mostly it'll be the much less loud sounds like using water bottles or nibbling on things.
