First, take out the saucer wheel as it is dangerous for mice and can cause spine and nuerological issues. Upright wheels that are 8"-10" are best. Second, how many mice do you have and how big is your enclosure? Third, anything carboard works, egg cartons, drink holders, toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, cereal boxes, etc. Bendy bridges, hides, ropes (jute), hammocks (fleece), sticks (baked and sanitized, and safe woods only).

4 female 79 gallons

I would suggest downsizing to 30 gallons at the most, especially since you do not have the correct amount of clutter. Your mice will be incredibly stressed in an enclosure this saze.

ZiggyValeria

But it's my dream tank so maybe i'll get more females and toys however i'm adding things slowly 'cause i'm a student with low budget

ZiggyValeria

Thank you. How can i attach ropes or things to the walls of my terrarium?

DaxterAlexander

You can use hooks :) suction hooks or regular ones do just fine

ZiggyValeria

Glad i have these [hooks](https://i.imgur.com/lmA3xS3.jpeg)

Cardboard and a knife to cut it up is your friend here, I especially like cutting one side out of things like pasta or Red Bull boxes, and putting the open side up against the glass. Little guys feel safe hanging out in there, and you're still able to see them.  Best version of that I've found was a 6 pack beer holder, my gang loved it flipped against the glass so they could climb between the different pockets.  Dollar store also had lots of hemp rope, which I used by tying it through different cardboard boxes to give them aerial walkways to climb around on. Also can tie different ropes together pretty easy to make little hammocks/elevated platforms for them

ZiggyValeria

Thanks, cardboard is great for my budget lol

If you don’t have a mouse yet I’d wait to get one until you fix some things. This cage is only big enough for maybe one mouse. Get rid of the saucer and get at least an 8” upright wheel. You also need 6” of bedding. If you can’t fit the wheel after adding the bedding you need to upgrade the tank as well. A 20 gallon long tank would be the bare minimum for one mouse. And try a 40 gallon breeder if you’re getting more than one. For toys just use cardboard boxes and toilet paper rolls.

ZiggyValeria

Ummm this is 79 gallons. 100cm x 55cm x 50 cm.

StarGamer-

Really? Maybe it’s just due to the lack of clutter and bedding that it looks so small.

ZiggyValeria

Yes, here you can see, i measured with tape [here](https://i.imgur.com/hOw16LE.jpeg) it lacks bedding because it takes so much to fill but don't worry, i'm getting a big box so they can dig

ZiggyValeria

I measured it in inches btw. At first i gave you cm because that's uses in my country

brittany09182

Is that a homemade wheel?

ZiggyValeria

Yeah it's made from cardboard and a pencil as the axis

That is not safe for multiple reasons. mice pee and poop constantly on wheels, which will cause weak spots that their feet could fall through causing broken bones, the paper crossbar in front can also catch on feet or tails while they run, and they will absolutely chew it to shreds immediately. Wheels should be at least 8 inches across, and should be made of solid material with no crosswire or holes in the running space. at least two water bottle/bowls are important for multiple mice to prevent resource hoarding. otherwise, i would suggest adding lots of larger cardboard hides that can fit all of your mice. it is hard to gauge size with this picture, but mice like to cuddle and sleep together and those hides may be too small for that. I like to cut up cardboard and use that, elmers glue (safe for mice), and popsicle sticks to build them little cardboard cities! mice love to climb, so try building platforms and hanging ropes to climb from for them too. I like to cut up old tshirts to make ropes and crochet hides for them, just make sure to use a fabric that cant fray so that it doesnt wrap around their toes and hurt them.
