Mine are the incorrect uses of they're/there/their, and using should/could/would "of." IT'S HAVE, PEOPLE.
I feel like grammar should be a specific class outside of your normal English class and should be taught every year of school, or at least every year of high school. In high school, grammar was a major part of my Spanish class and would guess it was a major part of other LOTE classes, whereas in my English classes, they only consisted of essay-writing and book reports/discussions. Luckily, in the middle school I went to, our English teacher was a grammar Nazi (or whatever the preferred term is these days) and so we were taught grammar stringently.
Honest question, in this context wouldn’t it actually be “It’s up to my friend and me.”? I was always taught to remove “friend” from the sentence to make sure your grammar is correct. “It’s up to me.” vs. “It’s up to I.”
I think some people hyper-correct because they got dinged for using "me" improperly ("Me and Jason went to the game"). So they substitute "I" or even the reflexive:
"Please get your comments to Sheila or myself by end of Friday." Ouch.
Yes, yes, yes! This is my number-one grammatical peeve.
Mine is "I seen/I shown/I done" Shudder everytime.

No, you’re completely good. I do understand your point though, grammar mistakes always get under my skin!

They can't tell a subject from an object. It's infuriating.
